@josephk4932 That's what I keep on asking. What is the rush? What are they hiding? I don't trust the university, law enforcement, the prosecution, or the judge. None of them have done the right thing for the victims and their families. IMO, they are all corrupt. Sickening!

@josephk4932 it didn't work that way...
First of all, jury dont usually tour the crimes centre because that is one giant piece of hearsay, even with tour are organised, there are severe limit on what the jury can do, that's because unless Kohberger were there too and you put the jury in the same room with BF And DM at their original location, that represent nothing.
Second, if this is such an exculpatory evidence when the juror can't hear Kohberger walking in, then the Defence have WAY MORE to lose than the prosecution, because they don't really need the house itself and the position to convict him, but he would have needed it to proof he is innocents, then why the defence agree to the tear down? Because it won't happen unless both side agree

As a Death Penalty Juror all this is a gross mistake. College = money. They couldn't give a rat's for justice. Shame on this University. Know if your son or daughter has a problem there they are just out to cover their own buns. The fact you have a fully intact crime scene in a Death Penalty case and tear it down before the end of trial is a huge advantage for defence. What are they hiding? Totally incompetence? Sorry to the 2 families that fought this. As a juror there is nothing like visiting a preserved crime scene to understand exactly by standing in the victims foot steps to the use the facts what happened. VR you have to be kidding. This is so wrong it can never be right.

    • @lazydaisy2292
      @lazydaisy2292 10 месяцев назад +2

I've never heard someone say, "as a former juror." 😂 Probably because it's not coming from a place of authority. Juries are notoriously unreliable. They get it wrong constantly. They aren't professionals in the field of criminal justice and they work off instruction. You have no idea if potential evidence would be inculpatory (suggesting guilt) or exculpatory (pointing toward innocence) so you can't point to a win for the defense because the potential evidence hasn't been found, which is the very argument as to why the house shouldn't be destroyed. This comment got on my nerves because just stating that this is a win for defense shows your assumptions and proves the very issues we have with our jury system. They are terrible and proven bias. They are a real problem in this country and I wouldn't be bragging about being a part of it. Although, we don't really get a choice, do we. You could have the McDonald's worker down the road deciding your fate.

    • @ashleysmith2509

@lazydaisy2292 I served when there were laws and real consequences. You are right by instruction. You have someone's life in your hands that is the difference now a days weak people. Like California. The Death Penalty is law but a tiny weak coward of a man held up the execution I pain stakingly spent days contemplating the evidence and facts causing heart break for the family. That is what has happened to our supposed law and order problems and it is going to be much much worst . There is now no accountability. Put me in another trial. I will weigh the evidence observe the facts and hand down 100 more Death Penalties if it is proved beyond a reasonable doubt. One guy without immense military training doing this to 4 health young people in a wooden house without anyone hearing a scream in a small town is a miracle. Takes a 100 percent vote for a Capital Case. No one can be in any doubt. You bring all evidence including the crime scene if you are blessed enough to have it. This trial without seeing the crime scene will be hard to explain but as you said may now a days have someone who doesn't care about their country or their service as a juror. An honest juror will have to contemplate the above. Very hard sell with no crime scene. I have removed former as I served my country proudly and made the ultimate decision as required of me.

    • @christianjward

@@ashleysmith2509 sounds like you are proud to have imposed the death penalty, and almost take some kind of sick pleasure in it? "Put me in a trial" so you can impose 100 more death penalties?! The fact that the majority of jurors involved in death penalty cases end up traumatized from the experience and never want to be in that position again speaks volumes about your desire to have a hand in sending another 100 people to death. It's worrying that a former juror (yes, 'former' because you are no longer a juror) appears such an advocate for the death penalty, and at the same time has clearly made pre-judgments on the innocence/guilt of the defendant in this case.

@Completetwilightfan Honestly, how can you make that assumption based on my comment when I was only speaking morally on the situation. I may not be an expert in criminal justice, however, I do know a thing or two about being a decent human being. Let me elaborate on why I believe they made a mistake.. Considering the information we have and the fact they have tried to keep such a tight lip on all the facts (I also understand that it is for the integrity of the case), I would like to believe that the investigators did a thorough job when collecting evidence. But what if they didn't? Yes, the FBI went in and obtained a digital layout of the home, but that is not the same as allowing the jury to physically walk through it; especially since the home had a very unusual layout. Furthermore, wouldn't it make more sense to be safe than sorry? What if there was something accidentally missed when obtaining evidence? It's more common than not for investigations to be mishandled and the perpetrator walk free, and the victims and their families never receive justice. If they have a slam dunk case for a conviction, whether it's Brian Kohberger or not, then that is great and the debate on the house being torn down or not will be irrelevant.. But what if they don't? What if that house is the last thing standing between whether he walks free or is held accountable for his actions? I'm just saying my fear is it was the wrong choice. There is nothing comparable to the jury being able to walk through that house. I want to see these young, beautiful souls and their families receive the justice they deserve because this entire situation is a tragedy!

Suddenly they rush to tear it down because "it's a 'grim reminder'? It's time for the community to begin healing " ?

    This is so upsetting.
The kept the Marjory Stoneman Douglas School was left boarded up and remain completely as it was left after that Horrendous MASSACRE!
It happened on February 14th 2018 and his jury was able to go out to the MSD School to walk through the crime scene in November 2022!
The scene still had Valentine's, chocolates and flowers mixed with blood and they could see the Chaos.
    They also saw security footage.
So if anything the building didn't need to happen.
But it did and HELPED then FEEL the chaos that was still there.
So this scene should have been kept under lock and key until the Judge and Jury had gone through the house at 1122 King street!
It really should be a Federal Law that no crime scene buildings and sights can be dismantled, or sold until Justice has been served!
Now I can't help but wonder if the University is trying to not just move on demolition so town and the University can get back on a positive track.
But now I do think that there is something the University and Possibly being pushed by the very powerful Fraternities and Sororities who are front and center here, wanted it covered up?
That there will be evidence about their involvement that night about what really happened!
About who came in that late night early morning to murder 4 students but leave 2 alive?
The fact that no one called 911 for hours.
Even after the members and friends showed up at 8 a.m..
The students and Fraternity and Sorority members were ALL OVER the crime scene.
I think there is a LOT MORE going on here than meets the eye!
This demolition is looking extremely suspicious now!?
    Thanks for covering this story!
I pray that Kaylee, Maddie, Zana and Ethan will be able to find Peace once their Killer(s) is/are sentenced.
This scene should have been left untouched from when the police put up their tape until the Judge and Jury had their walk through.
Because seeing the blue prints and mocked up videos show how complex this house was.
Plus that clear view into Maddie and Kaylee's bedrooms access via the balcony from the parking on the hill behind the house.
The three levels were confusing so I believe the jury needed to really get a in person look and walk around and throughout the entire scene.
This was wrong and looks like someone is covering something up!

They probably had something to do with the murders . I know imma get sh!t for this.
But . Why else would they wait hours later to call?
No one in shock, would wait that long to call 911..
Also , why would the Killer , leave them two alive?
whomever it was, no one really knows other than a knife sheath that had Brian’s dna on it .. he could have dropped that with knife and someone else picked it up, or he could have loaned it to someone, not knowing what they wanted it for or better yet, he could have sold it or pawned it .
Think about all the crap you sell to someone or something you lose, your dna is on that item, fingerprints go a long way! Hair strands hook to everything, human fluids can last for a long time on something.
There’s a million other reasons how that knife sheath got left and no knife .
Yes, it could still very well be Brian. I’m not saying it is or isn’t .
But, ya have to think all possibilities on this one .
Maybe the 2 survivors were/ are the true killers and Brian is taking the fault for it . To help them get away with mirder. Those girls were mostly jealous of these victims in one way or another. So they teamed up with Brian
And came up with a plan to do all this, use him knowing his background that he could. Most likely walk and well so could they.
if a killer is in a home and they want to kill all in the home, those girls wouldn’t be alive .. if this was solely just him.
Also, it’s highly unlikely for 1 man to take out 4 ppl.
There’s a lot of fishy things about this case .
But like you said. Those girls heard and saw the whole thing. The smells that came after and what was messed with before police showed up.
Something had to be tampered with from the last victim to when those calls came in
This is my opinion & thoughts on this whole thing.

I believe this is a huge mistake to do before trial and if they allowed the jurors to walk through it would have a much bigger impact on a guilty verdict. They waited this long it should have been held off a bit longer. It could have been detrimental to this case. Praying the truth is found.

As I watch this, a thought entered my mind (one of many). This feels similar to me as "burning books." Someone allegedly wants the jurors to think only as this someone thinks; does not want the jury to think independently; does not want jurors to be armed with everything that this house will yield the individual mind of each juror; wants to herd juror brains down a narrow pipeline of their own agenda (even moreso than typical when in the courtroom when attorneys "spin their tale" as they believe things went down). 🤔 hmmm? This act of demolishing the crime scene is consistent with everything else that is suspect about this case. The only logic I can think of that justifies this level of confidence is the content underneath victim fingernails. I guess we'll see.

i would like to see the inside of the house, specially the view from the door where the only one that remained alive saw supposedly kohberger coming down the stairs... and people making noises to see how they sound from that room....
I think it is not wise to do the demolition.
"it is time" one year later? I think the uni is afraid of the *bad reputation* not to "move on" or the "grim reminder".
The crews from the news aren't there because it is really cold?? it is VERY TELLING they are there to demolish no matter the sheer cold there is... that is very very telling. They want to get that house out of there. The uni don't want people to link them to those murders.

Or, have jurors ask about the locked door in downstairs storage bedroom, like in the pictures. Rumors in Idaho saying that it's a secret tunnel that leads to the U of Idaho faculty house on the hill in the area. Who knows? It's possible. Tunnels are everywhere.
