Jesus, Terry, 8:31 you started The Song Remains The Same and it immediately fired me up to sing it along with the whole band playing in my projection. Damn it gave me goosebumps
Holy mother of rock n roll! The Supra, those classic tubs, and your chops make one helluva combination. (We forget just how damn good you are on the drums sometimes!) They sound in-freakin-credible, the tuning is sublime. For me, those sizes, those edges, that hardware, is just an unbeatable sound. And is there anything more classy than a 3 piece set of Club Dates? I think not sir. They’re a time machine, you could throw on a tux and be in 1957. Class-y. Lmao. I had the long hair too, and old people behind me would sometimes say “mam” or “she was first” and shit like that. One time me and my old lady were in the car and a carful of dudes were trying to hook up with US. I got out and was like hey, sorry, dude with long hair! And then you could tell the dudes who called dibs on the driver were taking some well deserved shit from their buddies. That stuff definitely contributed to chopping it off. With the cornhola virus, I bought a set of buzzers. You’re the best, man. We appreciate the hell out of you, always something to learn, or a good laugh, or both. You’re good people.
Ahh so you did get the Promuco sticks I told you about. I like them. I would be happier by FAR if Ludwig would tool up and make the classic 2A and 2B sticks I grew up with in the 70s. They had a classic Art Deco look to them. As for the new Ludwig Classics, I just got a Pro Beat 24” kit and I am impressed with the combination of warmth and roundness of the old 3 ply kits along with the attack and sustain of the Classic line. They’re perfect.
The SUPRA! The freaking Super-Sensitive. (Brings back very old memories of Bachmann-Turner-Overdrive. The drummer always played this Ludwig snare). I want one! I have a Birthday coming up! November 2nd. Did you get that?
I just bought silver sparkle inlays for my 70s S/S and don’t know how to install them, proper. Is there any tutorials on replacing bass drum hoop inlays? I cannot find any anywhere. Thanks.
@@Iloveyhwh_1974 rdavidr has a great youtube channel of drum hacks and restoration, he's a mechanical genius almost as much fun as Terry to watch. I didn't see inlays at his channel so I put a link over my first message for another vid addressing your topic.
DAGDRUM5 ty yes I’ve watched his stuff in the past. He’s great. And yeah, I couldn’t find any tutorials on installing inlays, either. I did just watch the link you sent. It was helpful. It’ll be helpful. Thank you.
Hey, Terry. I've been working on my mid-60s Supraphonic and noticed when I cranked up the bottom head that the hoop and shell are nearly level. Is this normal? It doesn't happen on my other snares...
That room is a disaster, with all the time you spend (trying)to sound like the King , you fail miserably I don't care how many people think you are good .im better.
I transitioned to Pearl, but every time I watch these vids I want a Ludwig. Ugh. You're killin me, bro.
It’s not illegal to have other drum kits from various manufacturers. You can still have a Ludwig kit. 😃
Lovely drums. The floor and rack toms sound fantastic.
T Bone! Love the Supra. Those tom toms sing beautifully

Love those silver sparkles!!! Awesome and very classic rock and jazz (Joe Morello)!!! Great chops as well!
Ya, you are the more devoted Passionate Paiste Man and more knowledgable. it should have been you doing the Company/ Factory tour.
The new kit sounds amazing. Perhaps another video you’re tuning skills are so damn good. Those toms just sing beautifully.
Thank you. Paul- much appreciated! Another tuning vid certainly can't hurt.

Mad as a hatter, keep it up :-)
Terry the kit is fabulous even the stock Ludwig heads sound great and the Bonham crossover sounds as good as ever.
Awesome! 🥁👍
Juicy indeeeedenberg !! Those sound Awesome Terry!!! ⭐️
Thanks for the video!
CANNONS! Someone's been practicing. Avoid man buns with your new official bonzoleum ball cap with thermogloss brown bill and green sparkle cap.
PS Thanks mentioning all those great drummers especially young Eric Hubley he is really coming on.
Wow awesome sounding
Awesome!!!!

Yes-I scored some to check them out. Not sure how they compare to the original Promuco model, but to me they seem like a pair of Vic Firth 5Bs!
Those tubs are BEEFOLEUM! 👌🏼👍🏻💪🏼
You forgot to set up ride cymbal. How you gonna find That Confounded Bridge! Without the ride?
Nice 👍
Sounds incredible.
Love the imperial lugs and the new bass drum claws. I bet the tom would sound more full with the vibra band.
Loving the Ludwigs!
Hello from Marz.
Yea, sounding good bro !
wow the sound dot really complements that snare.
those Luddy's look and sound F#cKing amazing
That floor Tom sounds amazing, as do the other drums👍
7:09 still the meister of Bonham crossover triplets
Duuuuuuuude, they sound incredible! Especially that Supra!
Gorgeous kit, I'd love to hear what it sounds like tuned up high.
BEAUTIFUL KIT! Would you please tell us how you tuned the bass drum? Muffling, heads, etc.
Yaaaaaaaaaahhhhh Terry!! You Rock!

like thr 24" Bass, to me that the standard I consider a 22" small, An Acrolite would go good with those. they sound GREAT!!!
Crossover you did were nice.1,223,583?
Do metal and Ludwig go well together?
Possible rushing the beater fix ... ‘slightly’ tighten the spring tension on the pedal? Works for me...nice chops!!
Good tip! Thanks PH!!
Hair looks great btw
Sup dude!!!!

Indeed juicy
Thanks, D!
Terry what’s your thoughts on the new John Bonham Promuco drumsticks ?
They're well made sticks. Not sure how they compare to the original exactly (as I've never had a pair). They seem like a standard pair of 5B.
man, I know your recording setup is insanely simple, but daggone it, your drums sounds are always super killer. Great tuning and playing
Thanks, Dave- Happy New Year!!!
@@bonzoleum yeah, you too! These comments will make no sense to someone reading them in the future considering the video was posted in Sept 2020.

JBA2's BABY all the way!!!🤘🤓🤘
sound beefy. what are those hats?
Delicious! That 24" sounds like a canon. Curious, why not the 26"?
Argh! Cannon. Not canon, the camera. Silly me.
Thanks Michael! A 24" is most flexible. You can get the Bonham tone, but not as massive.

I had a snare like that once but it was a PDP FS series snare. I would replace the hoop if I were you.
Yes- like Henry said- hoop funky.

Only Maple or Maple/Poplar/Maple???
are we supposed to guess again since new clue?
Cannot beat CM luddy's man. I am looking to sell my sabian hhx's and get some Paiste's for my kit.
LudwigHQ channel features Bun E. comparing a 60s set to a new classic kit. Check it out, it was cool seeing Bun again.
Terry did you sell these. ?
I did- here they are: www.musicgoround.com/product/40015-S000263642/used-ludwig-3pc-classic-maple-pro-beat-with-imperial-lugs-silver-sparkle

Looking to trade Tama zildjians for Ludwig Paiste 😳
Hey Terry I just traded for a mint 80s black sparkle acariote snare it's cherry looks like off show room gonna get rid of it
Please keep growing the hair #rocker
Juicy as fuck.
Why’d you get rid of these?
They sounded great, but I remembered I don't like the center lug so small; I should have had Mach lugs put on.
@@bonzoleum they were imperials
You didn’t like the one lug setup
No shirt, and camo cargo shorts, a little coke, and booze, and you could replicate someone with that hair lol !
I'm not young and it's certainly debatable if I'm wise, but you should look into some acting gigs. Even if it's just your local theatre.

Why is your hair up in a bun like the clown in spawn? If you want your hair to grow let it hang if you don't then cut it that looks weird

Instead of trying to belittle someone over the internet why dont you shut your trap. Its a page to educate people about drums and to have laugh.
