Why you should buy the backbone over the PlayStation portal? Because you can use Xbox game pass, ps remote play, Apple Arcade, g force now and cellular service. Both good in their respective ways.
And emulate games so all Nintendo games depending on your phone you can play some switch games but most phones can handle some gamecube games and newer higher end phones can handle up to wii and wii u sand then the top phones like tmsamsung s24 can play certain switch games like botw I think and it can also play 360 games anything really
Deal breaker for me is the no Bluetooth on the portal and most of all not being able to sign into public WiFi since it has no browser. Of course the portal is built better but if I can’t play in a hotel, airport, coffee shop etc it’s not worth it. I can’t use my AirPods and I can’t play anywhere but home and a friends house so what’s the point? People sell the backbone for 50 bucks brand new on Facebook market and I can play it anywhere plus use my own Bluetooth headphones, that’s the move in my opinion.
I got mine 2 days ago it's great however I have a terrible phone so it won't run fc 24 without hella lag.. plus you can always link it to a ipad or something for a bigger screen if you don't have a console at home
Hey! Don’t forget that you HAVE to own a PS5 AND you can only play PS5 games, along with it being a completely separate device that has to remote connect with the PS5, which causes bad latency issues and stuttering fully dependent on your internet. Don’t misrepresent the backbone it’s a completely different device.
Not misrepresenting anything just giving reasons some might prefer the portal. I actually have another short ill be posting giving reasons to get the backbone over the portal.
@@ryans413 his point is you can use the Backbone with your mobile phone for more than just the PS five while the portal is solely dedicated to the PS five. While you can play the backbone with any service that’s cloud based or streaming like ps5.
Bruh…I just bought a Portal. And I’m a cheap ass mofo. Let me tell you the truth. It’s absolutely worth it. No question. But it also depends on how you use it. If your a home body…this is your system. But if you’re all over the place the backbone may suit you better. I have both just in case
Buy a backbone for 100 dollars or less and buy some cheap 100 dollars tablet, the size of the PlayStation portal and it's okay if it's cheap the tablet as it's cloud gaming and there will be no lag. I tried it myself on a 50 dollar tablet and there was no difference when playing on the ps5
I am guessing the size of buttons don't matter if you are used to switch also. I have all three main systems and can adapt to controller quick. But still cool to get others opinions to see other perspectives. That's how I like to do research on tech I buy. Like to weigh pros and cons and go from there.
Btw, both use remote play, which does technically need good WiFi (correct me if I’m wrong). So the PS Portal is arguably a waste compared to the BackBone. Also technically speaking the BackBone One has a bigger game library
Isn't the PlayStation portal basically a PlayStation version of the wii u where you NEED THE PS5 to play so it ain't playable ON THE GO unless you bring the over sized console.
I would like to see you swinging through new york in the McDonald's parking lot or on the way to your mom's! That's it 😅 that's all that needs to be said 🤷♂️
Backbone is way better, it works with any phone that uses USB c and you have game pass not to mention android and ios games. That dusty portal only works with fast connections. I'm so happy I sold it off
I don’t have a portal but I’d say to get the backbone even thought it dosnt have the same screen size or the controller feel or whatever it can work with Apple Arcade, Xbox clouding gaming, steam, and remote play also if you have a phone better than the iPhone 11 you’ll get an oled screen instead of a LCD screen
@@Theguyfromfortnite2.0if the phone is someone’s only mobile device which they use for everything then they need a dedicated device for gaming that’s why the portal is better
"feels cheap blah blah" duh.. different companies made the products and one is official while the other is 3rd party, obviously one is gonna be "cheaper" than the other. And im very sure no one would want to ve heavily restricted to PS5 only when the backbone can be used on anything from PS Remote Play to Xbox Cloud or whatever its called to whatever mobile games you have on your phone...

@@ryans413yes! The Ps Portal has Screen Problems caused by the locked HZ. -> lags These Problems Are Non exisiting on my iPhone. But thats all why i send back my Portal 😢 For me its unplayable

Cant the backbone fit a tablet??????
The portal still lags and has latency, even after the WiFi update. I had to turn mine, Fortnite was not fortniting

It depends on your phone. I have a galaxy s21 and remote play works perfect. Even over mobile netwkrm
