I’ve made the actual candy melt ingredients myself with white chocolate and 2 teaspoons of olive oil! Warm the white chocolate gently using a suitable bowl placed over a pan of water on a stove. Once chocolate has melted, add colouring and place in piping bag if you wish to make the candy rounds. If not place liquid ingredients into desired molds. Cheaper and less expensive than actually buying candy melts 🙂
@CakesbyLynz, would these chocolate balls do well on buttercream cakes?? I see where several people are asking the same. And would that spray work on buttercream, as well? Please advise and thanks! Absolutely love this tutorial and would love to try it on a buttercream cake.
Thank you so much!! I am making a cake like this on the weekend and it was so helpful to see how it’s done. Do you think this will be super fragile during transportation
Wow amazing yummy beautiful cake, ty so much ma'am you give great idea and great Tips you are great teaching and learning and give idea amazing 👌 👌 👌 👍 💟 🙏
Have you stuck yours to fondant ir a buttercream cake. I have one to do soon on a buttercream, wasn't sure how they would stick firmly to it. Love your cake x
Hi Paria, I'm so glad you like it. The spray is Food Grade Spray Ice by Choctastique. I have put the link to where I got mine in the description below the video if it would be any use. Its an amazing spray, it sets candy melts or chocolate instantly.
Hi Ricky, Yes of course, if you are using actual chocolate instead of candy melts it needs to be tempered. If you get a bar of chocolate this has already been tempered and this is what gives it its shiny colour, and the snap you get when you break it. If you melt it down and don't re-temper it, it will not set properly, so you won't get that snap when you break it. It will also be very dull looking, will melt really easily when you touch it and can also bloom, which means you get little white dots over the chocolate. By tempering the chocolate this won't happen. I really hope that helps. Also thank you so much, I'm so glad you like the channel and the videos. x
I love the detailed tutorial. The edges to be thicker tip really helped me! Great video!
I've see this style of decorations everywhere and had no idea where to start, thank you for this very easy to follow tutorial! New sub
You are so welcome! I'm so pleased it has been useful. Thank you so much for subscribing and welcome to the channel
so gorgeous! How would you suggest I stick these chocolate balls onto a buttercream cake?
Just use a lil extra dabble of candy melts or simple syrup. Also it should stick to frosting
Wherever you are, whatever time you’re reading this, I wish you nothing but the very best in life.
I love the way you explain super seemingly difficult things so easy
your cakes are the best 😀😀😀😀😀😀
Thank you so much for the video. Will the spheres have any issues adhering to a buttercream cake? ❤

There is no way white chocolate is cheaper than candy melts that doesn't have chocolate at all, just sugar and hydrogenated palm oil.

Hi, I usually just place the mould in the fridge to allow the candy melts or chocolate to harden, it doesn't take too long.

Does the spray glue on buttercream?
What can I use in place of spray to stick them??
Can I stick directly on whipped cream base or butter cream base ??
Is the spray ice for gluing them together? How do you glue the balls to the side of the cake especially if the cake is iced with buttercreme? Thanks.
can we use this technique on a cake that has butter cream frosting?
So pretty
How far in advance can you prepare the chocolate balloons?
Здорово!Умничка👍🥰
This is so beautiful but how did you make your candy melts so nice and runny? Every time I use candy melt it goes so gluggy.
Try adding a bit of oil to your melted candy melts to make it a bit more runny ;)
