No one in my immediate family played ACPC (we're not into smartphone mobile games) but Sis and Mom played New Leaf together (I wasn't interested in it though), even though they only played together and not so much online. All three of us played ACNH when the pandemic hit, and it helped us to cope with the severity of everything that was going on in the real world at the time. These days, not so much, since there's plenty of other games to play, but I can understand what diehard fans are experiencing (I felt it as well when they took the 3DS shop down, and I really miss playing Fantasy Life).
Back in june, my family surprised me with the aquarium tour while on vacation! I'm not sure if it's still running, but I would highly recommend if it is!
I have to agree with you, Bob's Gang. Somehow, Nintendo has "too many irons on the fire" with so many games and Splatoon, too, it makes no sense that one particular "cozy game series" has to take the most hardest, most unkindest cut just to have a better one slotted into a new system. That's not how you gain fans nor gain repeat customers nor new customers.
So Nintendo is killing animal crossing. Got it 👍🏻 (This is me being overdramatic but not at the same time. I never got to play some AC games cause I don't have the gaming systems. Just bummed I never got to really play NL)
I wouldn’t say so! They’ve actually done more for the franchise this year in terms of collabs, major merch, ect than ever before. I think it’s more the start of the next era. It is still sad though to see past things go.
@@CrossingChannel I understand new technology and all that but I really wish they didn't get rid of the online access for their games. Yes, we will get new games for consoles. New Horizons was the BIGGEST selling game of all time in Japan. It has sold 45 million copies. They will make lots more.
Bob’s Gang. Honestly, I didn’t play Pocket Camp as much as I should have, (which was only for a couple months,) mainly because of the updates being very heavy. However, on a positive note, this might actually mean that they are going to focus on a future game, possibly a sequel to New Horizons. Who knows, it could even be like Pocket Camp, and get continuous updates!
Newish player to ACNH as of this year. All these updates I am appreciative for. Keeping me in the loop for the last leg of Animal Crossing this year. #Bobs Gang
Look into Fantasy Life! It is not another Animal Crossing but I played the 3DS game and it was really fun if you are looking to do job/tasks - they released the title of their new game that is suppose to release but unfortunately got delayed. Hopefully that means that they will be improving it to be better for when it eventually comes out!
Bob's gang. It's truly sad how they've shutdown the Online usage for Nintendo Wii U & 3DS Systems but also they're shutting down Pocket Camp but making an paid offline version soon. I'm already missing all those features and it's truly sad how it's being taken away by Nintendo. On a side positive note, I am trying to buy a perk for your channel because I really support you. You and MayorMori are my favorites. Let's keep in touch, please. :)
I used to play pocket camp with me and my friends back I’m 2020 since none of us had phones that and Skype was our way of connecting, rlly sad it’s gonna remove the online feature we also used to run around each others houses trying to find a good spot for our 3DS’s to connect so we could join each others new leaf worlds and play games, I’m actually really upset new leafs getting shut down it was genuinely, that and the happy home designer game was what really got me into animal crossing 😞
I think they realize how much AC players love interacting with other players, so they probably want ACNH to be the only game where AC players can interact and thus boosting ACNH's popularity again, maybe like it was during the pandemic.
I dislike Nintendo's behaviour... I still miss New Leaf's online. I still play the game but not as much anymore due to the shut down. I'm not a big fan of Pocket Camp but its sad to see the game shutdown this upcoming november.
I’m scared of visiting my old new leaf town truffles is still mad at me for leaving Tom nook. His kids and Isabel all followed me to the island. It’s as if I screwed up and now have to make a new life with a new identity.
I will miss having my friends in pocket camp. They have always been so helpful. Also I hate that I never got the Goliath bull frog to complete my list. It so sad that we will not get updated content going forward.
I understand most of their time and focus went towards splatoon 3. But it’s still sad we only got a year of updates for acnh when there was so much they could have added to the game. Hell, new leaf received an update even after its 4 years of release back in 2016! Even if they didn’t want to do something new, they could simply tied us over with old furniture series returning, old features. Just anything but they just chose to basically abandon the game.
Animal Crossing pocket camp was my childhood.. Before I got a switch I really wanted Animal Crossing so I got the app At least I’ll still have those photos I took in the app
I definitely understand why they shutting down those old systems. Every day they had to pay to keep them running. it doesn’t generate income anymore so why keep them. Those resources can be used on other things.
Animal Crossing is a great game honestly I still play animal crossing new horizons from time to time and it’s fun to play online with people around the world it calms gamers down who have or don’t have disabilities and it’s really relaxing. I play it pretty much and I hope that they will make a new animal crossing or update it. Who knows time will tell this game today.
What's going to happen to the pocket camp items you can get in New Horizons? Are those being taken away or are they adding them to the Nintendo app animal crossing icon the one where we get predictions for the day and coins to get exclusive app items? ❔❔❔
its so sad cuz iv been playing animal crossing since i was a little kid. iv played new leaf, wild world and new horizons and i still do play new horizons and wild world (offline mode) i still love animal crossing now but its rlly sad that loads of things hav been closed down bro.
Oh cmon 😭 I started on ACPC as bacc then, it was the only game were I could play animal crossing when NH was very popular due to the outbreak I loved it and love the many things that were on it I made many friends and loved seeing everyones different camps and styles Welp, o7 to all my PC friends and may I see them again in the future 😔
All new Horizons did in my opinion was have bare minimum content and less villager dialogue so we could have better graphics. That and the fan base suddenly became extremely toxic. Between the people complaining about time travel so people could build their dream town quicker or the space buns incident…
I honestly feel like Pocket camp's existance is why New Horizions never got some cool stuff so people would go there instead Pocket camp had the ability to hold cute bear stuffies early on and New Horizions never got that and i think that was to keep it a PkCp exclusive feature I think the game being discontinued is basically a way of making sure the next game won't be hindered by "we can't do this otherwise people won't pay for it in the gatcha"
I wish with pocket camp they give us to end of the year . Let us have one more Christmas with the game online . Then make Oct , Nov and Dec really special . I know it closes Nov 24 I played every day for 7 year s
I love animal crossing new leaf and happy home designer I got the first blue 3ds when it came out my parents got it for me for Christmas a long time ago I still have it today there’s some issues with it it’s pretty old but it still works like the thumb stick grip came off and the the right trigger doesn’t work that well and the battery life doesn’t last that long either so there’s a lot of issues with it but still works even though I don’t own a switch I hope they continue making animal crossing games I recently just downloaded Pocket Camp to try it out i’m still in the beginning of the game though. I haven’t really gone through it yet.
I’m scared to visit my old new leaf town. I bet truffles is still mad at me for not being the mayor she hoped for I never did go to Timra‘s birthday party. Tom nook, his kids, Isabel, Mabel, and Sable all literally followed me to the island. Maybe it’s because I haven’t yet paid off my house.
A new animal crossing game must be on the horizon with the amount of success new horizons had for the switch , I would love to see a port of one of the older games GameCube or city folk I think it is something Nintendo could possibly do with the amount of ports they have added to the switch!
Bob’s gang. Anyway, In a video by a YTer I watch regularly (I think it was either Nin10doland or Nintendo Prime), I believe he said that there may be a new Animal Crossing game in 2026, according to a rumor and code name leak(I forget what it was).
I got into the Animal Crossing games in 2020, when New Horizons came out. Once I heard that New Leaf was the best (from what everyone had said) I did my research. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to buy a used DS and the New Leaf game anymore, which is sad because I really wanted to experience it… 😔
I really hope the next Animal Crossing game is more like Wild World, City Folk, and New Leaf. I hate the crafting element, the cooking element is okay, I like that there's more to plant than just flowers and trees, I LOVE being able to put furniture outside. However, like I said, I hate the crafting element, I hate the tool durability crap, I don't care for the terraforming aspect, or the whole 'island rating system,' the events for holidays aren't as fun anymore, and I got tired of New Horizons within, like, six months to a year.
I wonder if you’ll still be able to get the Pocket Camp items from linking PC to NH in New Horizons once it goes offline? I know some people still don’t know about those or how to get them. It could be a nice idea to remind people of those so they get them in time if you think they could become inaccessible. I’m not sure, since it’ll still be available offline?
Hi, I've been watching some RUclips about animal crossing lately and so many steps seem to have been left out of what you can learn. I only just randomly learned the existence of dlc randomly-- I had never heard of happy home paradise or home designer or whatever and I see these have existed for a long time. I kept seeing videos of the caravans in Harv's island but I didn't know how you got there. And videos of all these animals' homes being decorated-- is that from happy home designer? Do you see what I mean? I wish I could find a video to fill in these blanks for people who haven't been playing the game forever and aren't clued in to all of these things. Thanks, and I've enjoyed your videos.
i kinda dont want a new ac game so that whenever i finally get it again, people are gonna be migrating to the new one and i wont have anyone to play with
My question is, do you think all the seasonal events (besides the anniversaries) will be automatically cycling each year in the offline version? There's still so many items I never got from those events and I'd like to be able to collect as many items as possible
I would love if Nintendo does for the new AC game what they did with PC. Mainly the constant and ongoing updates. I wouldn't mind paying for a yearly seasonal pass to keep getting new stuff.

I love New Leaf and Fantasy Life!
seven years of acpc? I remember the first and preceding birthday events
Back in june, my family surprised me with the aquarium tour while on vacation! I'm not sure if it's still running, but I would highly recommend if it is!
I got a New Horizons ad on this video👀
In 2024?!
@@CrossingChannelI did too, which is weird because I’ve never received an Animal Crossing ad before today.
@@CrossingChannel Yeah they've been showing up a lot of places, even on tv ads - which is nuts because that game still doesn't feel complete
@@username00009probably because the video is related to it and they think you’ll be interested in it
I have to agree with you, Bob's Gang. Somehow, Nintendo has "too many irons on the fire" with so many games and Splatoon, too, it makes no sense that one particular "cozy game series" has to take the most hardest, most unkindest cut just to have a better one slotted into a new system. That's not how you gain fans
nor gain repeat customers nor new customers.
So Nintendo is killing animal crossing. Got it 👍🏻
(This is me being overdramatic but not at the same time.
Animal crossing is a HUGE franchise with a cult following so I highly doubt there completely axing this franchise.
@@CrossingChannel I understand new technology and all that but I really wish they didn't get rid of the online access for their games. Like I would hate to see the day they announce New Horizons is going offline. Hopefully years from now
I'm excited but nervous for the new Era. Like ik games take forever to make but I wish they gave us some news on the new game coming out
Will we still get new games for consoles
Yes, we will get new games for consoles. New Horizons was the BIGGEST selling game of all time in Japan. It has sold 45 million copies. They will make lots more.
Bob’s Gang.
Honestly, I didn’t play Pocket Camp as much as I should have, (which was only for a couple months,) mainly because of the updates being very heavy.
However, on a positive note, this might actually mean that they are going to focus on a future game, possibly a sequel to New Horizons. Who knows, it could even be like Pocket Camp, and get continuous updates!
I don’t care what it is as long as we get the unhinged villagers again
0:18 yeah im taking the train to boston to see it
Bob's gang. So many towns never to be visited again... So sad. 😢
the desire to love animal crossing with a lack of animal crossing to love hits hard man
New Leaf was my first Animal Crossing game
Same for me, and I recently started playing a few months ago!
Newish player to ACNH as of this year. All these updates I am appreciative for. Keeping me in the loop for the last leg of Animal Crossing this year.
#Bobs Gang
What i want is an animal crossing style game, that is chill and relaxing, with open world, online, training levels like fishing, cooking and so on.
You could try Palia
Imagine something like BOTW/TOTK meets Stardew Valley.
i met my best friend through the island on new leaf, an amazing connection. sad to see it go.
New Leaf lives on in H-Shop. I still play it. No better time to play it IMHO.
I used to play this game all the time
I think they realize how much AC players love interacting with other players, so they probably want ACNH to be the only game where AC players can interact and thus boosting ACNH's popularity again, maybe like it was during the pandemic.
Wow That Upseting Because My Old Boyfriend Passed Away Like 5 Years Ago
Pocket camp and online island tours in New Leaf was like therapy to me 😢
I understand most of their time and focus went towards splatoon 3.
I've only just brought new leaf about 3 weeks ago and it sad most of it can't be played but I can still enjoy playing it
Pocket Camp was the first animal crossing game I ever played. I was young, and I loved it instantly. RIP.
Back in my day, you bought the game and you played it for years on your console; no internet updates ever 👴
It's sad news for all video games this year. 😢 Has anyone forgot Xbox 360 Marketplace shutdown.
what?
@@briarbrown4377 You know the digital store server on your Xbox 360.
Nintendo online services shutting down is also super sad for Pokemon, I still play alot of the older ones and the online stuff was half the fun 😭
Animal Crossing pocket camp was my childhood.. Before I got a switch I really wanted Animal Crossing so I got the app
At least I’ll still have those photos I took in the app
I definitely understand why they shutting down those old systems. Every day they had to pay to keep them running. it doesn’t generate income anymore so why keep them. Those resources can be used on other things.
I KNOW BUT LIKE
WHYYYY
You cat looks exactly like my son/cat who died at 16 and it hurt my soul for a quick minute, cherish that baby for me pls 😭
Sorry for your loss
Animal Crossing is a great game honestly I still play animal crossing new horizons from time to time and it’s fun to play online with people around the world it calms gamers down who have or don’t have disabilities and it’s really relaxing. I play it pretty much and I hope that they will make a new animal crossing or update it. Who knows time will tell this game today.
What's going to happen to the pocket camp items you can get in New Horizons? Are those being taken away or are they adding them to the Nintendo app animal crossing icon the one where we get predictions for the day and coins to get exclusive app items? ❔❔❔
I'm going to miss the eternal friendship between Doomslayer and Isabelle...
i’ve never had the ability to play pocket camp because of storage issues, and i’ve always wanted to play for the nostalgia. sad that it’ll be gone
its so sad cuz iv been playing animal crossing since i was a little kid. iv played new leaf, wild world and new horizons and i still do play new horizons and wild world (offline mode) i still
love animal crossing now but its rlly sad that loads of things hav been closed down bro.
Oh cmon 😭
I started on ACPC as bacc then, it was the only game were I could play animal crossing when NH was very popular due to the outbreak
I loved it and love the many things that were on it
I made many friends and loved seeing everyones different camps and styles
Welp, o7 to all my PC friends and may I see them again in the future 😔
I used to LOVE Pocket camp a couple of years ago. I haven’t played it in awhile and it makes me kinda sad shutting down
All new Horizons did in my opinion was have bare minimum content and less villager dialogue so we could have better graphics. That and the fan base suddenly became extremely toxic. Between the people complaining about time travel so people could build their dream town quicker or the space buns incident…
I honestly feel like Pocket camp's existance is why New Horizions never got some cool stuff so people would go there instead
Pocket camp had the ability to hold cute bear stuffies early on and New Horizions never got that and i think that was to keep it a PkCp exclusive feature
I think the game being discontinued is basically a way of making sure the next game won't be hindered by "we can't do this otherwise people won't pay for it in the gatcha"
I just got animal crossing on my DS like yesterday 😭
Bob's two years of missed opportunities for ACNH updates...
What hurts me the most is I played my WiiU almost every day and I had some friends until every thing shut down and now I lost 43 friends
I wish with pocket camp they give us to end of the year . Let us have one more Christmas with the game online . Then make Oct , Nov and Dec really special . I know it closes Nov 24 I played every day for 7 year s
Not me getting an animal crossing ad right after the video ends.
My animal crossing hasn't been gone,so I'm glad that it's still there. But its sad seeing pocket camp away, even tho i didnt use it
Yeah... it's honestly kinda sad that these things happen, but we can hopefully hope for a new game soon
Maybe it’s because I haven’t yet paid off my house.
hold on pocket camp came out 7 years ago??? i haven’t played it in years but i remember i was so excited for its release
I used to LOVE Animal Crossing Pocket Camp. It shatters my heart that the original one will be removed, and social interactions will be cut off. 💔
A new animal crossing game must be on the horizon with the amount of success new horizons had for the switch , I would love to see a port of one of the older games GameCube or city folk I think it is something Nintendo could possibly do with the amount of ports they have added to the switch!
If they do that, I definitely want them to port City Folk to the Switch, or the new console, whatever it is.
i loved pocket camp :(
when i saw the email in my inbox, i honestly cried :(
Guys we have to kind a way to save it, copy the codes, remake it, make an online version ANYTHING. We need to save it
Bob’s gang.
Anyway, In a video by a YTer I watch regularly (I think it was either Nin10doland or Nintendo Prime), I believe he said that there may be a new Animal Crossing game in 2026, according to a rumor and code name leak(I forget what it was).
No offence, but you sound a bit like a Splatoon RUclipsr named Splat Channel
Because it’s the same person
New Leaf, 10 years of support. New Horizons, 2-3 years support. I hope they started a new one when they announced now more support for NH.
New Leaf did NOT get 10 years of support… it got one major update several years after launch which yes, was amazing. But that was it.
I spent well over $100 on pocket camp this year it just loses its excitement after about 8 months
i kinda dont want a new ac game so that whenever i finally get it again, people are gonna be migrating to the new one and i wont have anyone to play with
I mean hey, the last AC got an update like 5 years later, so a New Horizons renaissance isn't too much to ask for. Maybe, hopefully?
Remind me what the status is of the online features of the previous games: Animal Crossing, Wild World, City Folk?
My question is, do you think all the seasonal events (besides the anniversaries) will be automatically cycling each year in the offline version? There's still so many items I never got from those events and I'd like to be able to collect as many items as possible
I would love if Nintendo does for the new AC game what they did with PC. Mainly the constant and ongoing updates. I wouldn't mind paying for a yearly seasonal pass to keep getting new stuff.
I never even knew an app like that existed, so it doesn't really affect me that much.
I never got to play pocket camp because it never gor released in my region.
Could be worse, they could be giving it the Megaman treatment and completely abandoning the IP
i haven’t logged onto pocket camp in months and now i learned it’s shutting down??? ok I really need to log on again
As the original Switch had a Splatoon for release and Animal Crossing years later this time would be the opposite.
I hope they do make a new animal crossing game for the switch successor but also add a new leaf port for the switch
Tbh the newest animal crossing leaves a lot to want compared to new leaf
It’s things like this is why I’m afraid to make good memories in online games…
I FOUND THIS VIDEO AND THEN I FELT LIKE MY HEART GIT STABBED😭😭😭❤ ANIMAL CROSSING NEW LEAF WAS MY CHILDHOOD WHEN I WAS SO YOUNG STARTING FROM I THINK 7! AND NOW THE MOBLE GAME TOO? AND THEY STOPPED UPDATING THE LATEST GAME TOO!?!? I DON'T EVEN OWN A SWITCH!!! WHYYYYYYY😢😢😢
Dang the new leaf in my opinion is one of the best ones :/ it’s really a disappoint cause me and my cousin would play every day after school when I was younger 🙃 it’s like nostalgia for me tbh
I’m still salty they stopped updating NH after saying it would have “years of content”. So disappointing when the game has so much less than previous games in the series.
People are really overreacting that this game is going away when there's already a complete version that's on the way, and I'm all in for it.
