    Wonderful, Lightning Ridge black opals are simply magical. Thank you Michelle for showing us lots of beauties. Immediate click. Each frame is a "graded price per ct", from my eye (when you have a few you can category to quality), and parcels sell as a whole, not single stones chosen out of as a rule wholesale & choose retail . You buy a pour at wholesale, you can pick at retail. Black Opal is why I moved to Nevada to mine.

    • @ResortDog
      @ResortDog 2 года назад

      @@joeporter4970 Still, EVERY dealer will tell you to keep it clean and never ultrasonically clean one. As I wear a opal in wood pendent for over 20 years every where & under everything my body has been, Digging to hot springing to sub zero outside temps. Not a new crack. The majority of Australian Opal is fine and the volcanic opal can be just as good and even more shock resistant, as in the dropping from 6 foot test, BUT not every stone is the same as opal is individually formed. Some are more bullet proof but all the good dealers will replace the rare stones that break on their own because crazy is all that opal does on its own, impact is on you.
