Alicia Vinkander look at the end is haunting...despair, anger, helplessness, hate and rage, betrayal. And that last step is done with such a hurt pride. Bravo ^^
I love how the camera movement, the very conscious placement of the dancers around them and the music makes you literally feel Kitty‘s despair and the impending tragedy. This is a masterpiece.
I find Anna's black dress very telling and foreboding. She's the only one wearing a black dress (like in the book), and it is very simbolic of her tragic relationship with Vronsky.
The clip cuts off JUST before this moment but the light which you can see in the mirror is the headlight of a train, marking the start of another theatre-esq. transition between scenes. The train appears to drive right up behind her - a sneaky bit of foreshadowing to the ending! 😊
How Alicia can act upset and hurt while still remembering all the steps to this complicated af dance is beyond me.
I like how Kitty's partner is changing constantly and Anna and Alexey stay together
One of the most beautifully done dance scenes in film.

even if it's very unlike the book, this movie was so beautiful it would be a lie to say it was awful

While I'm not super into this adaptation, it managed to perfectly capture this scene from the book. It's so breathtaking and so intense.
Funny how people either adore or hate this dancing scene. in either way it means that it touches everybody' s deep heart chords.
He s only seen her once before but the chemistry was off the charts. So she knew who was asking to dance without even turning. She expected it.
Alicia's so good in this and you could really see that she is a ballet dancer due to her grace and even just her posture (epaulement).

I had a hard time breathing as the scene went on. I can feel the fucking tension rising, it felt like it was going to explode at some point.
Okay, seriously, every dance scene Keira Knightly gets in a film is absolutely a masterpiece. ✨👌🏻

Idk where to begin with the beauty of this. The costumes, the set, the choreography, the music, the swift camera changes
love this sound track, one of the most mesmerizing waltz
I absolutely love the choreography!
I love their chemistry and especially the game of eyes that can be seen in several scenes
This movie was a delight to the eyes . So artistic way of falling from grace
