As a child, I loved to listen to my mama cut fabric. A lot of years later, I still love the sound of fabric being cut with scissors. Most people think I am crazy. Anyway, I thoroughly enjoy all of your tutorials, no matter what they are for. Please keep them coming!
I can't stop making them. They come out better and better with each new one. They really are ALOT of fun. My favorite bag to make right now. And it's very easy to make them in different sizes, too. Thanks again, Debbie. Kathleen/USA
I love your bag tutorials. Even made the sewing machine cover with the foam- love it, I cant wait to make this bag. Thanks you again. I have sewn for 40 years and also teach, but never sewn for me until I started watching you. Now I'm spoiling me. :)
What a ,nice and easy bag. My granddaughter ten and I made matching bags, this was her second sewing project. She likes her bag very much. Thank you for sharing and helping me to pass on my love of sewing.
Debbie, your videos are so wonderful and informative. I find your directions so calming and your voice so reassuring; I often listen to your videos one after the other to build my confidence. Thank you, thank you!
I Just made this for my niece for her birthday in July, it is such a great sew! As a bit more of an experienced sewer I added the straps when I added the lining which worked very well. Great video instructions as always. Thanks Debbie.
I just finished this bag for my daughter and I am thrilled with it. Your video was clear and easy to follow your steps. Admittedly I did make a couple of mistakes but when I re-watched your video I understood where I went wrong. This was the first project I have sewn by myself without help. So thank you for your easy to follow video. I will look out for more projects to do with you. Thanks!
I love this bag. I've been making almost all your bags for the past year (I am new to sewing at age 65) so I have used that learning to take the bag to a new level but it was still simple to sew with your great instructions. I used a foam interfacing on the body of the bag and the flap. I used a twist lock (was nervous to cut the opening for the twist lock) and I attached the strap with rivets. I put a little pocket for my phone inside. Have preordered your new bag on Amazon. Thank you so much. for helping me to be a little fearless.
You are so enjoyable to watch, such a happy smile. I love this bag and you have made it so simple, headed to the stash to select fabric now. Thank you.
Debbie does it again!!! What a great tutorial!!! Love the fabric and the shape of the bag. Thanks, Debbie!!! I have a High School Class Picnic in two weeks and I'll be making one for our auction.
I just discovered your tutorials and am thrilled. Instructions are clear, your pacing is spot on, and the bags are great. I have been making bags and learning about making bags for a couple of years - pandemic hobby - but learned new things with the very first tutorial I watched. Thanks for a terrific resource!
Dear Debbie, Thank you so much for the bag tutorial, I appreciate your teachings so very much . You have always encouraged and inspired me to sew. Ever so grateful always to you for sharing your knowledge. much love and blessings to you , Mariam from Texas
I am glad you said an hour to make - haven’t sewn for yrs - couldn’t remember how to line a bag- so now I am back to sewing to keep my brains working 😂💖
Wonderful tutorial as always and definitely something I'm going to have a go at making :) You find some fabulous materials and always seem to find the perfect fabrics and contrast fabrics and perfect colour schemes..
You are great Debbie, love your work. I had to laugh 😂when you said that you love the sound of your scissors working 😅 a lovely bag, perhaps you could use black silk and gold contrast..to make a more evening bag..
Hi Deb, thank you very much for this beautiful yet simple and elegant bag. I hope to make 2 for my Sunday School class girls for Christmas and add a few items inside. Thanks so much. Please keep up the good work. God Bless. Melbourne, AUS

Hi Debbie - just finished making my first one - completely from PUL fabric for my little niece. This WAS so much fun. Can't wait to make a few more now that I have the hang of it. Wonderful video, great instructions and always a joy to sew along with you. Kathleen
Gonna do it !have an old embroidery shirt that I have loved and worn for over 15 yrs.its time to retire it into a great bag...thanks for the great ideas..
I like the dping colors. Right now were heading for autumn or fall as we call it here. I'm thing puses could be made for every season. Its simple enough to change fabrics. I could even get nifty with novalty fabrics and have holiday handbags. I think that would be great to sell holliday bags.
Loved your video Debbie, and your detailed instructions. I made 2 of these bags yesterday! One for myself, and one for my daughter. So glad I subscribed to your channel. You are a great teacher! Blessings!
Thanks for the video. So pleased with the bag I made. Only comment is that the magnetic clip on bag part should be slightly higher to accommodate folding of the flap. Perhaps I missed that poi9nt.
Just finished this bag, I did it in white with black scotie dogs wearing red collars I used the same fabric for the flap and used red bias around flap and red cord handle. Love it thank you Xx
Well Just finished my second one as I loved the first one I made, but did the second in different colour and added a zipped pocket inside for pens etc. took me a whole afternoon to make each one but then i am just a beginner. I also added a fancy button to the front and 2 small wooden heart buttons at the base of each side of the handle which looks nice I also used fusible Bosal to give them shape. So light and practical, my designer bags are in the cupboard as these are my new current favourites haha . I have now joined the Half Yard Club as a thank you, as i have watched a lot of your videos You Tube, had it not been for you I probably would not have taken up sewing! Jess. P.S Was thinking a might spray them with some water repellent just in case i am out and it starts to rain!
