Big thanks to Jim over at Firestone for getting our leaking tire situation all sorted out! Also the speedo in the mk2 works now but I think I might have done alot of extra work haha
Talk about frustrating VW stuff. I have 2 mk3's and both heater cores just failed. 30 hours in and i have one done with flaps rebuilt!! Yea!!
First off..love your vids..big fan! I did keep saying to myself tho..why didn't he just pull off the steering wheel for more room and better visability..but either way, ya figured it out. I own an S2 Scirocco..That cluster is a b!tch to work on and I have completely redone the whole thing many times with LED's..then new gauge faces, etc. What seems simple turns into a few days worth of "fun" stuff. In the end it always feels worth it.

turn signal is probably because of your warning light switch that is either broken or disconnected

The light for parking brake is ON every day.Oil is ok,brake hand is ok,any help?

Yup plug it straight in. I'm mk1 mk2 world there no auto specific cluster.
Taking out the speedo in a mk2 is always "fun". Weird plugin of the speed cable don't think i have ever seen one that looked like that, and i have a good stash of speedos laying around. Must be a US thing

Do it right...mk2 manual speedo cable and the egr reset box...or the one piece cable.
It's ok my dude, we all have those days. Mk2 is looking really good down low and on some proper wheels.
Could’ve just accessed through the drivers vent instead of taking off everything. ✌🏻

You have helped me with so much on this car I hope you keep it up. I got my 1990 Gl 1.6 D a few months ago for $300 even has a 5 speed In it. Sadly I live in Kalamazoo and there seems to be a big lack of cars to pull parts from over here
honestly, i know it sounds like a lot of work, but i would CE2 swap that whole car from your 91 parts car. I would be down to help too, im a huge mk2 guy and im kinda local off 210 in st aug.
it's better in the long run, you can get swap harnesses for ce2 cars all day long, as you know from your mk3 swaps.
Yeah I know I’ll need the CE2 stuff for whenever the 3.6 goes in but have I mentioned how much I dislike being under the dash?😂

Possibly? Not sure how much the mk2 clusters come apart
Is the speedo accurate? I tried to make this work with a mk2 VR swap and it worked, but was 10mph of (give or take).
I used my speedometer app and it was pretty close! Maybe 5mph difference. Not sure which is more accurate though lol
