It's a two party system where people wanted neither
The 2 parties are exactly the same, they should join together to remove any doubt
Hobsons choice!
I voted Labour and I’m very happy to see adults in govt, governing.
@@RobinHarris-nf4yv hard brexit, austerity, tax rises, authoritarianism
@@superman_69703 word salad, psychosis, random, nonsense
Many of us also didn't like Starmer. I was always a Labour voter and member of the LP for years before Starmer became leader. I despise him for his lies and his authoritarian stamp on the LP.
Starmer is a very wet Tory. He doesn't have a on ounce of Labourite in him.
When our Labour MP came canvassing as a candidate, I told him that I despise Starmer more than I despised Thatcher. I could swear that he was physically knocked back by this. I hated the enemy that Thatcher was to the ordinary people of this country, but the treachery shown by Starmer is something which can't be forgotten or forgiven. As far as I'm concerned, he has driven the final nail into the coffin lid of the Labour party.
We need a caring alternative to Reform.
@eddiehawkins7049 We need Corbyn now more than ever but I think the media did such a good hatchet job on him that half of the nation genuinely believes he's going to send them to the gulags if he ever got in.
Starmer has not lied and you won’t be able to provide a single example
How has he been authoritarian?
Jailing rioters seems a good thing to me
@@eddiehawkins7049 Green for me next time.
He's treating the electorate like he treats his party. Like utter shit.
The Tories did that
Labour are picking up the mess
@@RobinHarris-nf4yv No, Labour are picking up the mess - and then throwing that mess around.
He's treating the electorate like he treats his party. He doesn't care what they think and does as he wants.
@parallaxview2143 In a democracy, you get very few chances to express your view. This time round people had the option of the gaza candidates and many people took that chance. Starmer got half the votes he got last time.
@@stevenwilliamson6236 Gaza candidates are Corbyn cultists.....they can scream all they like UK has no leverage over Iarael and whatever our govt says makes zero difference.
This government so far feels a lot like the Conservative led coalition government of 2010. Oh our predecessors left us such a mess, therefore we will have to make huge cuts, it will have to get worse before it gets better etc. etc.
Austerity doesn’t work. If we want to turn our country around, we are going to have to bet on it, and that means investing into it.
Very well put. Yes, investing is a gamble, but it's also the only way, as you say, to actually get ahead.
I wouldn't even call it a gamble - it's a risk, but in the same way open heart surgery is a risk
Labours manifesto is investing into it.
You can’t have roses day 1 when Tories salted the earth
@RobinHarris-nf4yv what investment? All I see is Osborne-endorsed budget squeezing. While I agree with balanced finances, it's madness to expect year on year balance
Business will borrow to fund 5 or 10 year growth plans. Government should do the same!
Tories = Austerity with lower taxes and we get nothing in return, delivered with a mean face.
Labour = Austerity with higher taxes but we still get nothing in return, delivered with a sad face.
I think Labour are worse.
It is profoundly anti-democratic to push forward policy that you remained silent about weeks after taking power. If Starmer wanted an outdoor smoking ban, he should have put it in his manifesto and gained a democratic mandate for it.
Like, I'm in favour for the policy, but not the way he's doing it. We don't live in an elected dictatorship. Promises need to be kept, the electorate needs to be informed, and you ask permission before vast social changes.
But then, Starmer is not a Labourite, he's a very wet Tory.
It's deflection, worked for the tories. And after all, Starmer is a tory.
@@oceanscene22 🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@MrGrantSloan thing is the Tories are professional liers - Sir Kid Starver and his minions are just plain incompetant
Look at the GE results. Huge shift and no one talked about it. Labour thought they won, no, Tories lost. It's not the same.
The Greens did well out of, a 400% increase in seats. Not that you'll ever here the media even mention their name.
The old adage goes that oppositions do not win elections, government's lose them.
It's not just Starmer, the entire Labour front bench.
I don't think Rayner is nearly as bad as most of the rest of them
The entire Labour Party are a disaster at every level look at their councils
when people voted for Starmer they thought it was for a Labour Government, but it isn't.
It was obvious looking at them that they were gonna effectively become new Tories.
This country will never be on the right track until it starts standing up to the USA.
Exactly 💯 true👏
Maybe we'll get that with Lammy Vs Trump, an intellectual bantam-weight contest. That's assuming of course that Trump can even be bothered to engage with him.
Their entire mandate was 'were not the Tories'. They can't even stick to 1 policy
Only 30% of the uk voted for starmer. Also only half of labour voters voted for starmer to get rid of the Tories. Pinching their noses as they did.
Starmer is the kind of technocrat that is adept at gaslighting the public to push through a deeply unpopular agenda.
and it's not even unpopular, but beneficial in the long run. It's cosplay Blair, when we don't have the economic conditions to do what Blair could get away with
Dealing with 14 years of Tory destruction was always going to be deeply unpopular
Did you think it was going to be rises on day 1
@@RobinHarris-nf4yv people want instant fixes nowadays. The thinking is delusional. Honestly though I believe a lot of the comments are bots here, we're seeing exactly the same comments and rhetoric in thread after thread after thread.
Wow! The gaslighting is strong. The current destruction started on the 15th of August 1971, but our money has been deeply corrupt a lot longer than that. You must think a vote for Labour is a vote against the Establishment. Perhaps you should read some less biased history books to get a bigger perspective. You sound very divided. It's you that is the bot.
@billB101 I'm not a bot. The bots are the ones that have been gaslit by the media pantomime, into thinking Labour ain't the same establishment as the tories. 🤣
When i hear his voice, i genuinely feel a bit panicky.
Of course you do 🙄

Freedom is being seemingly eroded one bit a day by this lot.
Anything right of Labour isnt automatically far-right.
Single term Starmer.
3 term Starmer
I wish there was the option of "revolution" in the ballot box.
The problem with revolutions is that they almost never go in a direction that most people would want. And the period of chaos causes a hell of a lot of bloodshed 😢

The rot started with Thatcher.
Corbyn would have been a fantastic PM

This is due to him refusing to apply taxation to the wealthiest, we'll slip steadily into further stagnation. Why do they just keep following the same old Thatcher template? It's like Einstein's definition of insanity.
Tax those greedy money hoarding bastards, stick it back into the economy, although we know it's never going to happen.

Starmer's Schutzpolizei have started the arrests of dissidents and the clamp down on any semblance of a free press left in the UK. Polls are a temporary inconvenience.
You are deluded
Starmer arrested violent thugs
We don’t have a free press, it’s owned by right wing billionaires
Are these the "dissidents" that were burning down asylum seeker accomodation and throwing bricks at mosques?
Indeed, the UK is resembling Ukraine when it comes to the crushing of dissenting voices and suppression of political opposition.
We already have a stagnant Labour party, Blairite policy, .Totally inept and feckless.

We have a Govt no body wants or wanted!
Conservative government : 14 years. Labour government : 57 days. “We’re doomed”. 😂😂
An outdoor smoking ban is not at the top of my list of policies to enact two months after the election, and I'm allergic to cigarette smoke.
Sorry but that's just a dead cat to get people talking about something else other than how bad kid starver is.
I'm sorry to hear about your problems but if they do stop people from smoking outside then I would like them to cancel the tax on it if smokers can only smoke at home.
@@b00ts4ndc4ts Wow, let's start a band called Kidstarver.
How could they not approve of Kid Starver?
Boris willingly starved kids during lockdown until pressured by Marcus Rashford. Nice try.
Tories would have put taxes up after the election as well. Tax cuts was all they could think of to entice voters, but knew they could not sustain them, hence the increased borrowing to fund them.
Nothing will change until the off shore / crown dependent banking sector is closed.
If you are elected as a government of change you have to make changes.
With Labour only having the support of 20% of those registered to vote in the UK, and only 33.7% of the actual vote in the 2024 General Election, the Starmer regime could hardly be called popular from the outset, so its support was only ever going to go down.
If Starmer doesn't deal with this slum landlord, then the Labour Party is no different from the Tory Party.
Anything other than an expulsion from the Labour Party will not be acceptable by the majority of people in the UK and they will remember.
Labour is now The My Dad was a Worker(s) Party
What is there to approve of with Labour? The support for the genocide in Palestine? Or Brexit?
Odd to ‘turn against’ a government that has barely started yet, not even a budget so far.
This is the media's doing.
Turn against something and get the old rubbish back. Not the answer is it. Everything needs to be given time.

I don’t see why he should give a sht, he’s got 4 or 5 years and a massive majority. It’s all hyped from the Tory press, the same billionaires owners that kept the Tories in power for so long.
He's untrustworthy and a traitor
After a landslide election win, the only way is down. And England's default party of government (because of the voters' mindset) is the Conservative Party anyway, doesn't matter what happens in Scotland, NI or Wales.
Barely anyone voted for them in the first place
Laying aside the `pensionable elephant` in the room, one big reason for disapproval is that Labour was complicit in unsettling the nation and the political system by loudly demanding so many resignations of the last government`s ministers, and often for trivial matters when a slap over the wrist would have sufficed. That, along with the promise that Starmer would `part the waters of the red sea` if elected, has caused voters to judge him quickly and more harshly; which is understandable.
Thing is, the establishment got such a fright in 2019. They had to ensure, now. That nothing can seriously challenge it any more. Now they have their knight running the show. And considering, Starmer hasn't been around politics for and length of time.
“Establishment got a fright”
It’s such a boring trope
Corbyn lost, he was useless, nobody was frightened
2 party system. ‘Change’ as adopted by Starmer is exactly what we need, the problem is he isn’t offering it as far as i can see. Answer this: These channels quote all these statistics. In my life I have never been asked a question about my approval or disapproval of a party. Please clarify where these stats are from and what parts of society are even being asked!
I know. Because of this I actively searched out for a poll so I could add my disapproval and I couldn't find one active to add to. If you are creating polls available for certain groups to fill out. Then the results of that poll can never be accurate. I've seen the media reporting Starmer is doing ok on his approval. Obviously YT polls on channels I follow show the opposite story. They are not a true reflection.
