    How does this compare to Teachable for a new creator?

    • @witandwire
      @witandwire  Год назад

      Great question. I don’t think there’s a one-size-fits-all answer, which is why I offer the comparison. (That way business owners can see which features are most important to them and make their decision.)
      But in general, as of the latest platform audit (summer 2023), I recommend:
      For an all-in-one solution (with a website, email marketing, course creation): Kajabi, and I have an extended 30-day trial for W&W’s audience here: witandwire.com/kajabi
      For anyone who wants the best value and already has a website (or plans to create one separately): ThriveCart (witandwire.com/thrivecart)

    Hi Melissa. Thank you for this video. I have an active training business, with 20+ recorded courses. I am interested in putting together various combinations of courses to receive certification in a specific area. This would mean it would be a membership - but there would need to be a comprehension/quiz requirement before being allowed to move on to the next level. Is this possible in circle?

    • @witandwire
      @witandwire  8 дней назад

      Good question! Circle does have quiz capabilities. You can find out more information on how to set up quizzes here: help.circle.so/p/courses/course-setup/set-up-quizzes

    Thank you for this very helpful video. I’d love to know more about the Circle upsell feature. I can only find references to it online but nothing showing how it actually works

    • @witandwire
      @witandwire  11 месяцев назад

      Great question. To my knowledge, you can’t actually create a classic upsell, i.e. a product sold immediately after checkout (the way you can in platforms like ThriveCart, witandwire.com/thrivecart). I think in Circle, when they talk about “upselling” members, they mean making Private spaces that are locked, which invite members - perhaps free members - to see those locked pages and then decide to upgrade to a higher tier to unlock those Spaces.

    Thank you! This is very useful. One question: Does Circle allow for more than one person to create/edit the lesson? Can I assign roles and permissions to enable course co-creation?

    • @witandwire
      @witandwire  5 месяцев назад +1

      Great question. Yes, you can on the Professional plan. (You get 1 admin on Basic, 3 on Pro.)
      It’s not covered in the new tutorial specifically, but if curious, we just released an updated full Circle tutorial today here: ruclips.net/video/0CLtLGsUgAI/видео.html

    Great video, thank YOU! Very helpful. Do you know, is it possible to share a link to a lesson? We use circle as sort of an intranet, so it's helpful to be able to share if somebody asks a question or is looking for something. I know you can share from other areas/posts....

    • @witandwire
      @witandwire  5 месяцев назад +1

      Great question! Yes, each lesson, post, and event has a unique URL and page so you can share direct links internally.
      Also, I just released a new Circle tutorial to show off their new features released over the last year. You can watch it here, I hope it’s helpful! ruclips.net/video/0CLtLGsUgAI/видео.html

    Thanks for the video. One thing i didn't understand is if i create my course on that platform does that mean that every person who wants to purchase the course has to create an account in order to watch it? Thanks :)

      Great question! Your students would have to setup a Circle account to have access.

    Thank you for the video, it is very helpful. I have one question, I tried to embed using Loom, but the share link icon stays on the video, so members can copy the Loom link and share the video wherever they wish. Do you know any solution on that or do you recommend any Loom alternative, so we don't consume the Cicles's GB of storing space? Thanks!

    • @witandwire
      @witandwire  6 месяцев назад +1

      Great question, and I know exactly what you’re talking about. Unfortunately, there’s no way to hide that button with the combo of Circle + Loom, and although I’ve tested other embedding tools, I don’t have a great alternative yet. (Vimeo and Bunny.net likely work, but I haven’t tested either one.) I do think for most course creators, the native Circle storage is likely the easiest solution, but maybe one of those two options proves useful.
      I’d also recommend reporting the concern to Circle. The more people who hear the request to allow us to natively add embeddable snippets (rather than just using their Embed feature), the more likely it is to get prioritized.

      I believe you can download loom video, so you won’t have to share the link, all you need to do is post the video from your file then you go ahead to put it on view only just so your students can see the video but will not be able to download or share the video

    • @andreasntritsos
      @andreasntritsos 6 месяцев назад

      @@pappyjulz9877 so you mean download the video from loom and then upload it directly to Circle? If that's what you mean then it will consume the Circle storage which I don't want to happen. If you mean something different please explain a little bit more. Thanks anyway!!

    Thank you, this is very helpful! For Loom videos, can we restrict the access to only Circle? In other words, does the privacy setting on the Loom video need to be 'anybody with link can view' or can it be something more restrictive like what Vimeo offers? Thank you in advance!

    • @witandwire
      @witandwire  10 месяцев назад +1

      Great question!
      You could share your Loom video in Circle using the 'anybody with link can view' setting because in a Circle community people are added by invitation only.
      If you wanted to give only certain people access to these Loom videos, you could create and segment your members into different spaces.
      We hope this helps,

    Thank you. This was very helpful. I'm a health coach and I'm building courses and have used Stan store to sell digital downloads and freebies but was looking for a platform to create courses and have a community component and your video was very helpful. I also have system io account and am very familiar with it. Do you know If we can integrate system io ( for the email marketing piece) with Circle and could I also upload a Circle course in my Stan store so that people access it via that platform ?

    • @witandwire
      @witandwire  7 месяцев назад

      Great question. It’s tough to know exactly what to recommend without doing a deeper dive, but it’s likely that you only need two of those three platforms long term. (I’m guessing Systeme is unnecessary, since you can create courses with Circle.) The TLDR of how you could integrate Stan with Circle is that they’re both on Zapier, and that’s likely the best way to connect a Stan purchase with a Circle enrollment, but there could be a handful of different options that would work. I hope that helps get you started!

      I’m glad you found the video helpful! I agree it’s tough to find a tool that has 100% of the features we each want, but I think a lot of great options come close. Or sometimes adding one additional tool to the mix can help solve a specific problem.
