Thank you for the great overview! The most important point for me is that the platform pays VAT to the customer's country of origin. My task now is to find out.
You're welcome! Good question! It's difficult to recommend a specific platform. From there, take your top picks and test them in their free trial periods to select your favourite. For an all-in-one platform, we often recommend Kajabi. Team Wit & Wire

I personally find Mighty Networks to be a bit too complicated as a member, which is why I don't usually use or recommend them for business owners. (There's a lot to click, and I sometimes feel like I get lost in loops.) They have a ton of happy customers, but I personally prefer the simplicity of Circle. I hope that helps!
I'm curious on your thoughts regrading Go High Level - it seems to compare well to Kajabi as an all in one platform, but a much more doable price. Thank you for the info!! :D
You’re welcome! And great question I haven’t tested HighLevel much personally yet, but I’d be curious to hear about others’ experiences. My hunch is that it’s fairly similar, likely with different strengths and weaknesses. (I’d say that for any platform comparison.) For example, they likely have a stronger CRM than Kajabi, but I’m not sure how their other features compare.
@@witandwire Hi Melissa, thank you for your videos! I am also curious as to how you think HighLevel shapes up against the other platforms you mentioned. Speaking from someone who is just researching how to get started. 🙂
Full Scope Freelancer should be on this list. For the price, even if they only had a course builder it would be great but thsy have a bunch of other tools as well for building websites, doing email marketing, managing social media, etc... Currently saving me tons of money compared to the alternatives. 👍

Thanks very helpful but I’m wondering where does moodle fit into all of this? It was recommended to me as the universal open source LMS. What are its advantages or disadvantages cf the commercial platforms?
Great question! Moodle can be great if you’re looking for an open source solution, but it can be more work or more technical for some creators. It just comes down to the type of platform you’re looking for, and I often recommend testing out 1-2 to see what you personally prefer. I hope that helps!

Thanks for sharing your insights. Very helpful. What happens if I use one platform's content creation tool and then want to change vendors. Can I take the content/files with me?
I"ve commented before, this is an excellent video. Thank you. I do have a question. I am a long time musician and am considering creating "how-to play" courses for guitar and bluegrass banjo. Off the top of your head is there an option that you would prefer? Or, is it a creators choice situation? Thank you again Melissa.
Great question. It sounds like you need a platform that can have written, audio, and video content, which all of the platforms on this list can do. The lessons might look a bit different, so it likely comes down to personal preference rather than capability. I hope that helps!
Thank you very much for the information!🙌👏🙏 A question related to Teachable..if I upload a course and someone is buying it, do I have to issue the invoice to the client( the one who pays the course) or is Teachable the one that gives the client the invoice/receipt ? Thank you so much in advance for this response !🙏🙏
Good question! You'll be able to set up student receipts and invoices yourself. Take a look at this help article for more information: support.teachable.com/hc/en-us/articles/219853067-Student-Receipts-and-Invoices
Frankly speaking the best video i have seen so far with clear and very informative options.... I just have a question, those all in one like Kajabi or thinkfic, can be integrated with your own website, i mean you use them only to create the course ?? then link this somehow with your own page ??? becuse i just started and was planning to use the other way of having my own website -worpress with LMS integrated, however i need an authoring tool that i can create the course , then upload on LMS .... I'm really confused and need your advise ... any possible way to have a consultation ??
Good question! With All-in-ones you have the ability to create your website, include email marketing, and digital product creation. Currently, Melissa exclusively offers 1:1 consulting calls to students in our signature programs (as an optional paid add-on). So the best way to work with her is through one of our Wit & Wire programs, such as Course Builders or Email Engines. You can find more details about these programs here: www.witandwire.com/courses (but there’s no pressure to join). Team Wit & Wire
Thank you for this video. Im wondering, what is the best platform for Australians? Unfotunately, Teachable pays the creator in US dollars, even though we charge our Australian students in AUS. This means we lose a lot of revenue when you consider exchange rates 😞
You're welcome! Good question. It looks like Kajabi and Thinkific allow you to change currency for payouts. I would double check by checking their support articles. Hope that helps! Team Wit & WIre
If you’re looking for a platform with community, email marketing, and memberships, it sounds like you’d be looking for an all-in-one platform. Our top rec is currently Kajabi: witandwire.com/kajabi That doesn’t mean it’s truly the best pick, since every business has their own unique needs assessment. So beyond that, I’d recommend testing out 1-2 platforms from the video and seeing which suits your needs and preferences best.
Great question. I don’t have a summary, but I know only a few have SSO options with Google. (Whether or not that would make it compatible with WordPress, I’m not sure.) So sorry!
Great question.
I love you research and explanation, it really stands out among all the other bias videos on yt. I would like tho know, if you still need a third party website when using thrive cart and is wix a good option if so? Or does thrive course live sone where else?
Thank you! Glad it was helpful. Thrivecart doesn't have video hosting, so you could use a platform such as Loom. I recommend checking out our full review on ThriveCart Learn + here: ruclips.net/video/lPoPTvNoUxo/видео.html
Another question, if you don't mind Melissa, the output for student of a platform like thinkful - is it interactive , like the authoring tools of Ispring, Adobe captivate ,...etc ? i really appreciate your feedback .... and once again many thanks
Great question. I’m not as familiar with iSpring, but I think they have more interactive features than Thinkific and the options I cover in this platform comparison. But to really know for sure, I’d recommend searching for an iSpring tutorial on RUclips or browsing their website.
Good question! You can set the pricing to free for most platforms. I recommend double checking on the support pages of the platforms you're most interested in. Team Wit & Wire
I wish there was more info for Wix as that's where my current website is. It would be nice to keep it all in the same place so I'm not paying for multiple subscriptions. I'm okay with paying more for a larger package but to have multiple subscriptions on multiple platforms sounds exhausting.
You can use Wix’s native course creation tools. I have a few students in our program Course Builders who use it and seem happy, but it isn’t something I’ve tested myself. If you want a tool that does everything - including website, email marketing, course creation, community, and services - then Wix might be limiting.
I’m looking for a course creation platform that I can also 1. sell course kits on 2. A function where a learner can submit assessments and case studies before being given access to the next course content (I will need to assess and approve first) 3. I can capture emails/email marketing. Can you recommend any please? Thanks 😊
Good question! I recommend downloading Melissa's free resource which includes a side-by-side comparison of Melissa's top recommendations, and it's updated regularly: witandwire.com/download-course-creation-toolkit/ I would recommend choosing a few of your favourite platforms, and testing them out to find if they suit your needs. I’m glad it was helpful! I haven’t personally tested Fresh Learn, so I don’t have any first-hand experience to offer an opinion. But if anyone else uses it or has tested it, I’d love to hear!
If one changed his mind down the road to switch from the passive income model to the community model (cirle), would it be complicated to migrate the courses between platforms?
Great question. I know Skool is becoming popular, but my biggest issue is the fact that you can only have one community, even if you have 2+ courses. So I find it harder to use and recommend, since I know many business owners run 2+ offers that need different access levels. I’ll talk about it more in an upcoming Circle tutorial, but I hope that helps!
Thank you! I operate a community of multiple instructors. We want to create an online course site together. Each instructor wants to open their own course and upload videos. Can you recommend a platform that provides these features?
Great question. The feature you’re looking for is usually called “Additional Authors,” “User Roles,” or “JV Partners.” Teachable, Thinkific, Kajabi, and ThriveCart all have the option, and likely others. I’d recommend doing more research on the exact permissions and abilities you’re looking for per platform.
Great question! If you'd like to have a student community, Circle: witandwire.com/circle is my hands- down favorite tool to engage with students (and help them connect with each other). You can create different Spaces for different topics, and it's much more customizable than a Facebook group. Here's a full tutorial of the platform: ruclips.net/video/7gx7z5wr_5Q/видео.htmlsi=viADC49-czFF0RDO If you're looking for our current course recommendations, our Complete Course Toolkit includes the exact equipment & software we recommend to create curriculum, record videos, and sell profitable online courses, including a side-by-side comparison of the best course creation platforms. Great question. It sounds like you need a platform that can have written, audio, and video content, which all of the platforms on this list can do. The lessons might look a bit different, so it likely comes down to personal preference rather than capability. I hope that helps!
SUPEEERR Helpful thank you 🙏🙏
Glad it was helpful!
GREAT INFO THANKS
Glad it was helpful!
@@witandwire Thank you soo...sooo..much ! 🙏🙏🙏❤️💐💐💐
such a useful video, thanks!
I'm so glad it was useful!

Super helpful! Thank you
You're welcome! Glad it was helpful.
Thank you for this video.
You're welcome!

@witandwire thank you so much ! It's so generous of you to give your time to answering these questions 😀
Melissa, what would you recommend for teaching baking? I need community ,e mail marketing and 3 different tier membership options.
If you’re looking for a platform with community, email marketing, and memberships, it sounds like you’d be looking for an all-in-one platform. Our top rec is currently Kajabi: witandwire.com/kajabi
That doesn’t mean it’s truly the best pick, since every business has their own unique needs assessment. So beyond that, I’d recommend testing out 1-2 platforms from the video and seeing which suits your needs and preferences best.
Have you done a summary of which platforms support single sign on (SSO) from WordPress? Thanks!!
Great question. I don’t have a summary, but I know only a few have SSO options with Google. (Whether or not that would make it compatible with WordPress, I’m not sure.) So sorry!
@@witandwire Thanks!!
thanks! what do you think of Mighty vs Circle?
Great question.
I see, thanks! helpful to know what we're getting into ;-) @@witandwire
@@witandwire Thank You
Another question, if you don't mind Melissa, the output for student of a platform like thinkful - is it interactive , like the authoring tools of Ispring, Adobe captivate ,...etc ? i really appreciate your feedback .... and once again many thanks
Great question. I’m not as familiar with iSpring, but I think they have more interactive features than Thinkific and the options I cover in this platform comparison. But to really know for sure, I’d recommend searching for an iSpring tutorial on RUclips or browsing their website.
Thank you for this. One question, is there a platform specifically for creating courses that are meant to be free and not for profit?
Good question! You can set the pricing to free for most platforms. I recommend double checking on the support pages of the platforms you're most interested in.

I recommend downloading Melissa's free resource which includes a side-by-side comparison of Melissa's top recommendations, and it's updated regularly: witandwire.com/download-course-creation-toolkit/
I would recommend choosing a few of your favourite platforms, and testing them out to find if they suit your needs.

Hi Melissa, thank you for this video. I am still in the process to pick one. By the way, do you have any comment about Fresh Learn?
I’m glad it was helpful! I haven’t personally tested Fresh Learn, so I don’t have any first-hand experience to offer an opinion. But if anyone else uses it or has tested it, I’d love to hear!
Thank you@@witandwire
You're welcome!
Melissa, you are amazing. Packed full of value. Thank you
Thank you, Tom! I appreciate that, and glad it was helpful!
If one changed his mind down the road to switch from the passive income model to the community model (cirle), would it be complicated to migrate the courses between platforms?
Good question! Circle does have course migration support, you can find out more detail here: migrations.circle.so/
What are your thoughts on the Skool platform?
Great video thank you
Glad it was helpful!
Yes it really was , the best I’ve seen for options. I’m a subscriber for life ❤️
Great video. What do you think about Ezycourse vs Systeme. I want to do a membership and the community aspect is very important
Great question!
If you'd like to have a student community, Circle: witandwire.com/circle is my hands- down favorite tool to engage with students (and help them connect with each other). You can create different Spaces for different topics, and it's much more customizable than a Facebook group. Here's a full tutorial of the platform: ruclips.net/video/7gx7z5wr_5Q/видео.htmlsi=viADC49-czFF0RDO
