Putting concrete in two side is not good bcz the weight will go to that sides only. Less cement is not actually good bcz it will reduce the strength. Its good to fill all sides to minimize the wt of top bearing.

The problem with preterm is that it traps heat and realizes at night due to bad application.... it should be properly used as per scientific practice not by thumb rule ..
I have been going to a house constructed with Porotherm bricks, that house is on the second floor and the house is only on one floor and receives direct sunlight on the terrace, and the house remains cool even in summer. This house is in Bangalore and in peak summer temperature goes upto 37C. The roof is almost 1 ¹/² to 2 feet thick. I have always felt that the house is cool. I didn't believe until I saw it and experienced it with personally.
@@Prophetess9738 good to know Sohina. 2 feet thick roof is very unusual these days. I am not sure the effect you get is due to preterm alone or the method of application. Did u try with 2 feet thick roof with cement morter or bricks batt . It would be always give similar indoor environment. Need to check. Prather is a good choice indeed.
@@aakardev4699 I am not sure that it is exactly 2 feet thick, I am assuming it is that much because they have a skylight in their living room passage way and it looked like 2 feet. They also have a half wall to separate living and dining room constructed with these bricks, you can use them as additional seating when required. They haven't plastered the walls completely, some parts are exposed, so the contrasting colors look very nice. It's not my house, so I don't know in detail, these are just little things that I noticed. Hope it helps.

Little confused the way they laying blocks at site...! Cause, the block will bear the loads on sides than the core! Hence, the compressive strength test also need to be done in similar way (if standard permits) to know the actual load bearing capasity... Correct me if I'm wrong pls 🙏❣️❣️

I have been going to a house constructed with Porotherm bricks, that house is on the second floor and the house is only on one floor and receives direct sunlight on the terrace, and the house remains cool even in summer. This house is in Bangalore and in peak summer temperature goes upto 37C. The roof is almost 1 ¹/² to 2 feet thick. I have always felt that the house is cool. I didn't believe until I saw it and experienced it with personally.
@@Prophetess9738 good to know Sohina. 2 feet thick roof is very unusual these days. I am not sure the effect you get is due to preterm alone or the method of application. Did u try with 2 feet thick roof with cement morter or bricks batt . It would be always give similar indoor environment. Need to check. Prather is a good choice indeed.
@@aakardev4699 I am not sure that it is exactly 2 feet thick, I am assuming it is that much because they have a skylight in their living room passage way and it looked like 2 feet. They also have a half wall to separate living and dining room constructed with these bricks, you can use them as additional seating when required. They haven't plastered the walls completely, some parts are exposed, so the contrasting colors look very nice.
It's not my house, so I don't know in detail, these are just little things that I noticed. Hope it helps.
