When Angelina was a little girl, her japanese grandfather took her with him into Oslo. There he helped the homeless community with food, and sometimes with a job.
When he knew he was dying, he told Angelina: Stay true to who you are, and you will never regret what you do. He also said: I will watch you from the Moon, will be every where, see everything you do. You will never be alone.
Today to honor his legacy, Angelina discreetly helps the homeless community in LA. By chance, she was seen there.
It is understood, that she still donates to children charities. The proceedings of her book, will be 100% donated.
THAT is the person of Angelina she does not show to the public.

Some of the words "never alone" and "never regret what I do" and "watching you from the moon" were words spoken to her by her grandfather before. he passed. Angelina lost her paternal grandfather in 2018 when she was 12 and she sang 3 songs in tribute, "Always On My Mind", "Happier" and "Return to Me". Angelina wrote "Million Miles" after her maternal grandfather passed in 2019 and she dedicated it to anyone who has lost a loved one. Personally, this song allowed me to grieve the loss of loved ones and was the first song in my 62 years to make me weep.

The photos on the wall in the hall are her grandfarhers, the shoes and the sweater too. The journal she holds contains her original lyrics and her conceptual artwork for the lyric video of this tune.
This was written by Angelina to help her deal with the loss of her grandfather, and released during covid to help others. I have experienced loss and so it makes me cry. Which can be healing. She sang this differently live in concert last year. Someone present said the effect on the audience was difficult to express but it was something she will never forget.

Thanks for another great reaction to & appreciation of this original song by Angelina as a tribute to her late grandfather. This was her 1st release after signing with Republic Records at age 14.There are several versions available - besides this music video, there is also an animated lyrics version (illustrated by her grandmother) & IMHO the best version - black & white live in studio. Besides her beautiful voice, Angelina also has the innate GOD given gift of being able to emote the essence of each song she sings direct to our hearts & souls allowing us to also deeply FEEL her music as it flows through her. Having lost my wife several years ago, I listen to this song every day. Each time I'm brought to tears, but afterwards I feel an overwhelming sense of comfort. That's never happened to me before with any other singer. Anyway - I always look forward to your Angelina reactions. Thank you. And may GOD continue to watch over & bless Angelina.
I love Million Miles ❤️ Its very special to me ❤️ Angelina lost both her grandpas early in life and I feel empathy towards that.. very emotional, I lost my dad at a very young age and he was also very young, so it was extremely painful, but this song has helped heal and I am very thankful to AJ for writing this beautiful song about loss, which I think so many people can relate to, losing a loved one ❤️ Amazing song and the live version she did in Norway was incredible and very emotional ❤️😢

Absolutely phenomenal original from our barefoot Queen of Jazz , Angelina wrote and recorded Million Miles in three formats, A Studio version a musical video version and a artwork version where the artist is Angelina’s Grandmother Mery Zamani who is a famous Iranian artist and poet and is involved with production, there’s a 4 version at a live concert in Angelina’s home Norway in 2022 which I attended 🇳🇴, Angelina wrote Million Miles as tribute to her Grandfather who passed away and to anyone who has lost a loved one, had a lot of reviews during the Pandemic, which seems appropriate, great reaction thanks 🙏

You should have reacted to the live version from Kongsberg last summer. It is a much better version and of course live, and as we all know, her live versions are always something special, so if you have a choice, ALWAYS react to them. YOU will find them more enjoyable also.

Very good reaction! It's about her maternal grandfather who passed in 2019. A MUST-SEE is her LIVE performance of this song during her outdoor televised concert in her homeland of Norway last summer 2022. The final, almost feral, cry to her grandfather at the end of the song is one of the most phenomenally exquisite and emotion-provoking runs I've ever heard!

You're right in that expectations are always high when it comes to a new Angelina performance. After being called a child prodigy for so long, I guess that goes with the territory. Doesn't seem to bother her at all, though. She just continually goes out there and does her thing, splendidly. So exciting to think about all the new music she's going to create over the years. This song was written upon the passing of her maternal grandfather. He was the husband of Grandma Mery, and Angelina is very close to both of them. He fostered her compassion for others as well as, with Grandma Mery, introduced her to the old jazz and all the old music she's studied. The pain you picked up in this song is her own. This song has touched people around the globe--people who have lost loved ones, in particular. It is an incredible song. Thank you. Granda Ellen Zzzzzzzout.

This is her music video she also has a studio version and a lyrics version where her grandma painted pictures and then the were animated to move with the lyrics .... The little girl in this video is AJs little sister, Juliette representing a younger AJ and the man who is representing her grandpa is actually her uncle/manager the slippers sweater and the photos on the wall in the hallway are her grandpa's
Yes, you’re right on her age, she is 17 today and will turn 18 on Jan 10th 2024. Thank you for all your reactions especially Angelina’s music. Thank you. By the way, she’s just released the first single to her upcoming new album of Original Music, we think might be released next month with a Full Album out by September to qualify for Grammy Award Nominations. We can only hope. I haven’t seen much of an active effort by Republic Records to promote Angelina’s new music. We hope that will change next month when Angelina Graduates from HS. Also, sales are critical as they will determine the size of venues for her upcoming Tour, perhaps later this year. So we need to put on our “Angels Hat” and promote sales of her new Original music. Also, listens on streaming apps like Spotify, Apple Music and Amazon Music and get her music climbing the charts. In short, we have our work cut out for us, don’t we? I am ready, these are interesting times for Angelina, will she grow? Or will she fade away? What do you think?

It was not a step grandfather. This song was for maternal japanese grandfather. Her other paternal grandfather was swedish and died 5 years ago..
@@gertwestblad9052 definitely maternal but possibly "step"... some say that Sara and Michael's father was Mery's first husband (probably Iranian) and she later married a Japanese man... I don't know the definitive answer to this, but it is consistent with the looks of Sara and Michael...

@@gertwestblad9052 I have seen it mentioned a few times... I don't think it is inappropriate to say that Sara and Michael do not look partly Japanese... do they ? Boris probably knows but I am reluctant to ask him as it feels a bit intrustive... and not really important - of course they have strong Japanese heritage and Sara and Michael were brought up for at least part of their childhood in Japan (and are definitely fluent Japanese speakers )

Just like every other singer in this decade, can't understand a single word she's saying. I don't know what has happened to music, it's just a load of blaaaa bllaaaaa bllaaaa unintelligible ranting. Music died pretty much after the turn of the century.
