Interesting that the logos on the sticker and the blanking plate where a tach would go both face the same direction, but the logo with the viking name on the speedo faces the opposite direction. Just a little quirk you don't really see from big manufacturers.
Yes they were although some what rare . My father worked for Kohler R&D and we had a 1974 model pre production unit in 1973 to ride for a month for testing purposes.
That's a beautiful example of mid 70s sleds. And pretty modern looking for that era
