I live in Montana, bear encounters are very common here. There have been attacks, but they’re not as common as you think, and they’re usually because it’s a mom with babies, they feel threatened, or they’re really hungry. Bears are scared of you. They aren’t gonna go after you with no reason. But if you sneak up on them whether on accident or on purpose, they’re gonna get scared and they’re gonna attack. The best thing if you’re in the wild and you see a bear is to make noise. Let the bear know you’re there. Yell, be loud. 90% of the time the bear will avoid you. We carry bear spray and bear bells. Bear bells are bells that you wear on your shoes so you make noise when you walk. Bear spray is essentially a really strong pepper spray. It’ll give you about 10 seconds to get out of there, and most of the time the bears gonna run away. Don’t ever run or scream. Running is gonna make the bear chase you. Screaming is gonna sound like a wounded animal and an easy target. Put your arms up in the air and SLOWLY back up. Do not turn your back to the bear. If the bear takes a step toward you stop. In a firm, deep voice (never screaming), yell at the bear. Doesn’t matter if you’re saying (hey bear go away) or some ancient war cry they don’t understand English lol it doesn’t matter. And don’t climb a tree. Bears can climb. Faster than you can. And when you inevitably have to come back out of the tree, with a bear after you, you’re gonna get hurt falling out of the tree. Be safe out there!
That last clip is real. The man firing is Braun Kopsack, a big game guide who is a legend in Alaska. He and I were best friends during high school in PA. The man is tough as nails and fearless, and absolutely amazed me at his willingness to tough it out, under any circumstance, to finish whatever he started out to do, without complaint. There are no grizzly bears in the Claremont Wilderness Area, which is in California, where we haven’t had grizzly’s since 1924. This is a black bear, which come in many colors to include the very common brown. A grizzly bear has a pronounced hump on the shoulders.
FYI, clip 6 and 3 were not Brown or "Grizzly" bears. They are actually Black bears with brown coats, (sounds silly I know, but it's very important to get the correct identification because their size and temperaments are vastly different.)
Well because they’ve evolved to become lethal and even suicidal killing machines with their cubs. Bear cubs are one of the smallest mammals to be born so it’s in the mother bear’s instincts to be that way.
@@AutisticBearLover mostly because of aggressive males when mating. they can kills cubs, where mama bear can fight to death to their protection. this is where their crazy protection instincts are coming from, imo. they see humans as deadly treat to cubs, so as they always say, stay away from cubs. one nasty thing is, cubs can be very playful and intrigued, start running towards you etc, and that could lead to dangerous situations..
Although Bears show some signs of aggression or other emotions, they are still very difficult to read, they are indeed unpredictable, they may look calm and uninterested, then in a split second, boom! An attack!

@@MarqueeliusThe_III While shed hunting last spring our dog got attacked by a mother black bear. She had her cubs. Smacked the dog up a bit. She was a scary and big 3-400 lbs. In all the excitement, she couldn't find one of the cubs. My son took the dog and hid down over a ridge. The Momma bear was grunting and obviously concerned about her cub. Finally she found the cub and soon after disappeared into the brush. Now that was dangerous because she would have attacked us if we hadn't tried to hide in heavy brush. What I mean about this being a the most non-dangerous is compared to the videos where the bears actually catch the guy. There are some bloody ugly videos out there in
The man hiking the Appalachian mountain reminded me of a man I knew named Gypsy. Glad all are safe. Even the schmucks who fed the bears. Duh. Blessings
That last one I saw when it aired it got my hair to tingling wow that was intense watching it, I can't imagine being right there ! She would have torn them apart, awesome thinking on the guides part to shoot into the water in front of her, at least he didn't have to kill her!
A bear won't fall easy, I bet they actually hit the bear fairly well to stop her and make her run away. If you do your research, gun shot sound and weak impacts (wrongly placed or weak cartridge) will only make a mama bear charge more intensly because you confirm you are a threat to her cubs but you don't put her in such a bad position to be affraid of getting killed. That mama bear will die from the injuries, remember bears aint like humans, they dont bleed so evidently as us, they have very big structures to help them and they are so strong that they can get deadly injured and still run away or keep fighting just to die hours or days later.
@editasevcikova1505 lmfao no way 2 shots with a .45 to to the head will drop the bear instantly. The only thing bear spray will do is piss off the bear
When my bf first bought his cabin he had gone to bed one night after a couple drinks and left his cheese and crackers on the deck with the intent to clean up in he morning. He said he woke up the next morning to make coffee and turned around to see a bear on the deck eating his leftovers. The bear saw him, hopped off and began to run away and purportedly stopped, hesitating for a moment before deciding to run back for the crackers and then left. LOL
Jesus Christ that last one is more horrifying than any actual horror movie. I'd be petrified with fear seeing something that lumbering just barrel at him like a cougar.
@Edita Ševčíková most people who are killed usually always use bear spray with no effect or never got to pull the trigger to spray it. The bear is practically on top of u by that time. Even if he takes a direct him he’s still coming at I’m assuming almost full speed and can kill you while blinded and im gonna say even more angry I’ll take a 12 gauge with a slug or the double buckshot not sure which is more deadly. I know the buckshot spread increases with distance but I’ve seen what it can do to a tree and it stays together for longer that I/you would think. Yeah 99% of bears are more scared of u and will flee. But when I’m walking with my kid I’m not rolling the dice on those odds cause it’s not worth it. 12 gauge and a sidearm in case it’s too close to then with shotgun or point it
When it comes to bears if it's black fight back/make a lot of noise if it's brown, lay down and do not move if it's white.....say your goodbyes because you're getting air dropped to the afterlife
I think once they saw the cubs they were already on edge if they didn't see the cubs and the bear just sprang on them and he got the shot off with no warning then he'd be like a mini John wick
Warning, DONT Feed/pet bears. If they ever attack after getting use to humans they won’t be scared and would most likely expect food or kill them and if they don’t get food they might attack so please just learn not your do these things
The clip from Russia is a How Not To handle any encounter with a bear. Do not ever give them food. The bear is going to associate good with the highway and cars. If it already did associate food with people/cars/highway, this reinforced the association. It's likely the bear will get killed either by a car or by wildlife management that view the bear-human interactions as a danger, which it is. Sad that the bear is the one that bears the consequences of people's bad choices.

2:38 that menacing look is rather damn adorable in my opinion
7:34 The bear’s sneak-in is more quieter than most professional robbers!
0:24 *I laughed so hard at that sound effect.* I’m sorry 😂😂😂😂
FYI, clip 6 and 3 were not Brown or "Grizzly" bears. They are actually Black bears with brown coats, (sounds silly I know, but it's very important to get the correct identification because their size and temperaments are vastly different.)
Cinnamon bear is the term for that coloration of black bear
The rest of them were, though?
@@laurenmendoza4235 Clips 4 & 1 are the only true Brown/
"Grizzly" Bears.
Big O'l brown black bear.
Yeah browns are rare to see in CA but it wasn't a Grizzly for sure. 👍🏻
That bear going upstairs😂...imagine that coming into your bedroom in the middle of the night😱😂😂
The way that bear came upstairs was one of the funniest things I’ve seen this year 😂😂😂😂
that bear came up the stairs like it pays the mortgage 😭💀
liked that in the last clip the dude didn't fling or freeze; just took aim and fired in a second.
The narrator tries to make the bears more terrifying than they really are in more than half of the videos *facepalm*
9:07, those mother bears charge with so much aggression.
women...
Something you don’t get
Well because they’ve evolved to become lethal and even suicidal killing machines with their cubs. Bear cubs are one of the smallest mammals to be born so it’s in the mother bear’s instincts to be that way.
Oh yeah, an angry mom of almost any mammalian species is a force to be reckoned with.
7:25 that bear was just going on a hike too.
Although Bears show some signs of aggression or other emotions, they are still very difficult to read, they are indeed unpredictable, they may look calm and uninterested, then in a split second, boom! An attack!
That's how everything is
I can't believe people actually stop to record a bear encounter.
If you survive, it's a cool video. If you die, it's a final goodbye to your loved ones.

Scary ass hell

I'd literally die
5:35 that bear lowkey chill
7:28 he just trying to chill
The momma with the 3 cubs. Whoa, first off, I don't think I would have Ever put myself in that situation. That was scary AF. !!!😵😵😵
What's scary is they floated into the bear's area. Controlling the raft away from the cubs isn't easy and momma had to protect.
That charge was fast.
Russian people are just special . Also yes bears can be curious but that DOESNT mean YOU SHOULDNT stay away from them
How people can fall asleep so peacefully in their garden in bear countries amazes me every time I’m from a country where we don’t have bears like that and I’m amazed at these people I’d pass out 😂🤣
Bro, I would cry
It’s tough definitely, but where I live, even though I live in bear county, we’re more scared of cobra chickens.
All I'm seeing here is "I'm a coward, preserving life while not living it"
Do you go camping? Same thing.
Fun fact, black bears don't usually kill people.
I can’t be the only one that hates how he over dramatizes every single encounter. Just tell the story but you don’t have to make it seem like it’s super scary when it’s literally just a bear in close vicinity do a human
stay mad
"Just". Keep crying 😂
How many is Big mad because the narrator of this video is descriptive and very detailed bro sit your ass down somewhere if you don't like the f****** video don't watch it
Bear 1: Don't say it! Don't you DARE say-
Bear 2: Let's hibernate! I find Winter to be so... unBEARable!! Haha!!
Bear 1: I hate you so much...
Glad that the “Bear footsteps” subtitle comes up at the bottoms so I know what kind of footsteps I’m hearing 👍🏼
1:28 scared the Mickey outta his ass. 😂
These are the most non dangerous encounters I've ever seen on RUclips. It's kind of cool.
What I wanted to say is that there are videos out there that actually show the attacks and their consequences. This one is not like that. I like this one better.
If you think this is non-dangerous then I need to see what you actually find dangerous.
You missed the ending and the guy pinned in a tree. Also the lady who nearly got her face swiped off by a frightened bear.
So a bear in your house isn’t a dangerous encounter? What are you on?
@@lfforever7991 Imagine if they had dogs
Duh. Blessings
There’s no such thing…even a young cub could give you all the fight you’d ever want if it was pissed off or felt cornered.
The part at 5:36 was so dangerous, never mess with a wild Russian💀
Guide didn't shoot the water. He missed.
@@mgray1609 he shot in front of her to keep from having to kill the cubs.i watched this show when it came on the outdoor channel years ago.
@@69sound81 a nicely placed .45 would do the job
@editasevcikova1505 lmfao no way 2 shots with a .45 to to the head will drop the bear instantly. The only thing bear spray will do is piss off the bear
6:00 Russians chilling with their bear brothers as always
The one sneaking in through the window and helping itself to a bag of snacks was too cute.
LOL
@@discobean54 SO adorable!!! Glad he managed to have a snack!
@@lauras3612 Good thing the snack wasn't the human
Jesus Christ that last one is more horrifying than any actual horror movie. I'd be petrified with fear seeing something that lumbering just barrel at him like a cougar.
If only these people had said “That’s far enough!!” The bear would’ve turned around, gave a look and then left. Or so I’ve heard.
Or possibly a sidearm or 12 gauge for home defense in dense bear zones. But they are probably anti gun. Etc. Guns don’t kill people, people kill people
@Edita Ševčíková most people who are killed usually always use bear spray with no effect or never got to pull the trigger to spray it. 12 gauge and a sidearm in case it’s too close to then with shotgun or point it
5:28 the bear be like you got the stuff 🐻
IMAGINE SLEEPING AND A BEAR IS SNIFFING YOU😵💫🤕
6:41 is by far my favorite because he is just minding his business like everyone else lmao.
When it comes to bears
if it's black fight back/make a lot of noise
if it's brown, lay down and do not move
if it's white.....say your goodbyes because you're getting air dropped to the afterlife
#3 says it took place in the Claremont Wilderness Park which is near Los Angeles. There's no Grizzly Bears in Southern California except for in a zoo.
Probably a black bear with a brown coat
@@AutisticBearLover black bears don’t have brown coats
@@calamityclash0018 Guess again.
It’s remarkable how in the last clip, the man was composed enough to fire the shot. Remarkable really.
I think once they saw the cubs they were already on edge if they didn't see the cubs and the bear just sprang on them and he got the shot off with no warning then he'd be like a mini John wick
That was some mommy bear stuff right there. She popped out like a mom…”What u say to my kids?”
This is why it's important to train and protect yourself before going camping, hiking, you name it!
Or better yet, don't go camping
Bro was all giggling and stuff until that bear almost made it inside his room. 😂 coulda tore down the door too lol
#3 is a black bear, not a grizzly. Grizzlies have a shoulder hump. Not to mention it looks like it's in SoCal, where there are no grizzlies.
Bears are like great white sharks on land.
I love the high pitched “hello” to the baby fox and then the “holy crap” to the bear
Old lady in the first was like: “can’t ever have a nice day on my day off. Matta fact I’m bouta whoop yo ass”😂
The camera on the first clip confused me so much, like why is there a camera filming and why is it at that height 😂
What? You don't have a camera filming you while you sleep? Weirdo!😁😃😉
Warning, DONT Feed/pet bears. If they ever attack after getting use to humans they won’t be scared and would most likely expect food or kill them and if they don’t get food they might attack so please just learn not your do these things
Most bears get fearful and anxious when confronted by people cause they know we are dangerous and they freeze, flight or fight
Most animals do because the ones that did not respect humans Most likely couldn't pass on their genes
The intense suspenseful music and narration tone on the Russian highway at 5:11 where they feed the bear didn't work on me. These are Russians, they and the bear drink vodka together and the bear even pushes the wheelchair haha.
Yeah my dad and I saw a blur go by the front glass screen door. I walked out onto the deck to see what it was. First words out of my mouth: oh hell bear. I backed up and shut the door hoping it didn't follow me. The thing was half the size of a mini van.
That last one looks like Usain Bolt at 2X speed approaching you 😂
Number 5 kind of scared me a little because even tho I love black bears they are very dangerous so yea.😮
Its natural to want to feed wild animals but people have to start realizing that there putting that animal one step closer to being killed
They should either just stop doing it
They should either just stop doing it
Not natural for black ppl lmao couldn’t pay me to do that
“you really shouldnt watch” so i clicked immediately
9:03 if they had no gun or even FUMBLED with the gun a little bit and didnt get a shot off.. they'd all be dead meat just like that one video where that bear killed all those guys at the construction site trying to protect their cubs, it even killed their dog.

Well, at least they didn't encounter some hiking nerd in the wild. THAT could've been dangerous. He might have offered you a baby wipe, or some water, maybe even (gasp!) Asked where you're from or what interesting hikes you've done.

Humans: sends man into space
Also humans: sticks hand out of window to a bear
The "Claremont" bear is NOT a grizzly, it's a large black bear. I've hiked up that road and it's in Southern California, far away from any grizzly bear territory.
Black Bears aren't dangerous as long as you don't bother them. Brown bears is another story though.
