As a 50 year Alaskan resident and hunter and a retired Alaska State Trooper it's a shame none of you got arrested. God protects fools he was definitely working overtime that day.

These guys don't understand or don't choose to. But these animals can rip you to pieces extremely fast. They think standing their ground is guarantee safe and they are sadly mistaken. They will feel a false confidence and the next bear will consider stomping the ground as threatening and attack. People refuse to educate themselves and respect the wild.

Being around well fed brown bears in Alaska is an unbelievable experience. It’s totally opposite of being around grizzlies in the lower 48. We did a day trip to Lake Clark back in late June and it was hard to comprehend that these bears are ok walking by you. Hoping for Katmai next July if we get campsite tickets in January.

Seriously? You invaded this bears space. You think you are funny but you are not. Leave the bears alone. If this had gone wrong the bear would have been killed due to your Ego. Shame on you.

She's trying so hard to say she's harmless. Which is true. She's harmless during the time she was holding her rear paws laying on her back. But here's the thing i found out 35years studying these brown bears. They can turn from steady and calm to chewing on your skull in the blink of an eye. She can misjudge a humans intention and shred you. This female is genuinely lonely it wasn't a ploy. But you cannot relate to these predators they are deadly dangerous. Timothy Treadwell spent 13 summer's with them and was eatin alive on audio because he had himself convinced he was a bear whisperer. Which is absurd and reckless. And it made his attack to be the most popular horrifying fatality in history.

Did the bear eventually leave the men alone and move on. Perhaps it was a young bear, not that experienced. Still amazing photographic shots, bit still far too close from a safety perspective.

That teddy bear was trying real hard to invite one of you to jump on it's furry belly and wrestle and maybe play "bitey face." It even bowed to show it was in a playful mood. I don't blame you for not taking up the offer although it looked very tempting. 😊

Nice video of a well mannered bear. Thanks for sharing 😊 We all know they CAN be, but aren't ALWAYS dangerous. I'm glad this was a non agressive bear in a good mood. They aren't mindless killers. And attacks happen but more often they don't. I bet it did give you all a bit of a scare though 😅

Is this in Katmai? Brown coastal bears have a lot of sea food during the summer and are so used to people. This one is just curious but still a dangerous situation.

This video 📷📸 and it's mild calm attitude. Gives me a entirely New concept & a totally unfamiliar idea about what too think 💬🤔. This Bears behavior is just unreal, and it makes me wonder what I would've been doing in the same situation & circumstances? I'VE had friends who went there relate that their experiences were quite similar & the Bears were just amazing too see 🙈. Maybe some of Grizzly Man's stuff wasn't too far Off in it's real truthfulness? But His overblown ego was what ended up getting them Killed. Basically He pushed the Edge too closely? One to many times, and it caught up with them. Thanks for Sharing.

if bears are used to seeing people they could care less--in our area we have many--some people think they are pets--mostly they are always hungry and can smell food a million miles away--but they will swat if cranky or if your too close

This is why hunters that go there to hunt them are so cowardly, the bears have no fear, they don't understand what's going on, there is no sport or challenge to it. The bears will walk right up and lose their life to those cowards.
