It works, but doesn’t at the same time. I’ve had this notify me that they’re left behind constantly when they’re in my pocket like many have said.
Yup. And it didn’t work when U needed it to lol I lost them near my house going on a walk. So it just thought I left them in my neighborhood on purpose 🤦♀️
Man this thing notifies me when I’ve parked, and they are still in my pocket. Literally every time. It’s annoying 😂

I have a 13 pro max and airpods pros and i dont have this feature... by chance do you know why?
It applies to the iPhone 11 series too mate. They have the U1 chip too, and I get noti every time I leave behind my AirTags and ipad.
But do you get notified with the AirPods? We asked Apple and they said it only works with iPhone 12 or later with the AirPods even though the U1 chip is in the iPhone 11.
Anyway I don’t see reason Why it does not work with iPhone 11 according to Apple!
iPad and AirTags works on even the old models, but the feature only works for AirPods on newer device

The 11 has the U1 chip
This feature is a life saver might buy AirPods only for that. Many times I forget them home when am in rush to work.
I have a real story. The first day I used my brand new AirPods Pro, the first time I put them in my pocket and went to eat out, my AirPods fell out of my jacket pocket. Luckily, an honest person turned them in to the honest cashier. When Find My alerted me 6 miles away from the restaurant, we turned the car around and drove back. My wife had told me when we left home to leave them at the house. She is the smart one! But I had setup the AirPods Pro on my iPhone 12 Pro Max as soon as I pulled them out of the box. Hey, it really really works!
Hi, left behind doesn’t work on my iPhone 11 even it has U1 chips! How this is possible?

Is this feature applicable if you leave one or both AirPods somewhere without the case, the case being with you? Will the iPhone notify you then?
Why not just notify when airpods gets disconnected from phone? This can be implemented on any version of iphone.
That’s weird it’d only work with the iPhone 12 and newer since the iPhone 11 also has the U1 chip.

It's there on my iphone X. So, it comes with ios 15 just update your phone I think you will be able to see the options

My AirPods Pro 2 notify that they have been left behind at home, even though my home is marked as a safe location. Does anyone know how to prevent this?
All they need to do is have it show as left behind when out of bluetooth range.

This feature works with AirTags on iPhone X. I have it enabled for my keys. Weird it doesn’t work with AirPods and iPhone X

I use a video on RUclips called "Loud noise for airpods”. Which helps me find mine

Will it alert you in DND or ringer switch in mute position? I am not glued to my iPhone screen I think it should be a more significant alert like an alarm going off for folks they don’t constantly check each alert their iPhone makes instantly.

Why does the feature work with my airtag on an iPhone X but not with my airpod pros? How is it any different from how it works with the air tags?
Apple only made this available on iPhone 12 and later for the AirPods. AirTags work on earlier iPhone models.

You might have “notify if found” but def not notify when left behind with your AirPods.

You got it. The chip is in iPhone 11 but notify when left behind only works with the AirPods with iPhone 12 and later. AirTags work with the 11.
I like to be able to reduce the distance until a notification is activated! The 100m default is way too far!!

@@michaelepica3564 11 series does have the U1 chip. I don't see why the U1 chip is required since none of the Airpods have this chip. Notify when left behind works perfectly on my iPhone XS with Airtags, I don't understand why it doesn't work with my Airpod pro.

I read that you need to have the latest firmware update for the AirPods Pro for them to work with Notify When Left Behind but Apple also said that the feature only works with the AirPods on iPhone 12 or later.
This feature makes no sense to me, I never leave my Airpods behind.
