Hi. I have tried all these things with no resolve. Apple support has been no help. My AirPods 3 are still running version 4B66. The closest Apple Store is over 2 hours away. Is there something else that I can try?
Hi. I was at Mac store today and told them that I have problems updating my AirPods Pro usb-c. My firmware is 6 gen old. They told me to come in and they will force my AirPods to update. How they do that I really like to know.
@@JosesGarage101 they connect the airpods case with airpods in it with mac via usb c cable and just leave that there with wifi on…. in about 5-10 min, it automatically updates …. you can do the same with iphone but wirelessly but make sure your iPhone is connected to wifi and not on cellular data and also make sure siri is enabled
I have the AirPods Pro 2nd gen. I have tried all ways to update with my iPhone to no avail and still stuck in the 5E firmware yet. I am having an issue with the left AirPod not charging past 81% and then after listening to music for 5-10 minutes the left drops to 68% makes some beeps and then shuts down while the right continues to play no issues and no abnormal drop in battery percentage. I don’t know if this is because it needs the firmware update, if there was a problem with them in the 5E? Also they had still been in the box wrapped and not opened until last month. They were unopened at home for a year and Apple has no support offered now says to old, go figure. I am ready to order a used left AirPod but nobody has one that is still running the 5E firmware and says it won’t be compatible unless my current firmware is updated. Gonna try one last thing before I just junk them completely and stick with my beats.
If I try the MacBook way do you have to leave the AirPod case open? Mine will stay connected for about a minute or two with the case connected and plugged into my MacBook and then disconnect. Will they still update or no?
I'm having an issue where my Airpods are on different versions for some reason :( Right one seems to be latest at 6A321 but left one is 6A300 when I try to connect just the left one to my iphone, the connection only lasts a couple seconds before it disconnects even though the case is still open any idea what to do to get the left airpod to update to the latest version so it matches the right airpod?
I don’t recall Apple being this complicated with any of their device updates. Thanks for your help.
