Another Samsung edgelit saved from the recycling bin. I have found that many of these sets start to develop patches showing the area where the leds are just before the go completely. Give me a full backlight any day over edgelit.
Allen you were lucky there, if you have a scrap tv the clips that hold frames down on vestels it’s like half an oblong those that normally break off keep them as they can be used to lift the prism sheet off of the leds, they act like a spacer you can space them out evenly hope you understand what I mean 😊

Just found an old Samsung LE32S86BDin the road a few roads away from me just tried and its not even cracked and goes fine and HDMI is OK to.

OK many thanks Alan don't know how much a new sheet would be plus it needs backlights
