This is a great project and a lot of fun. It was extremely stable and, as you mentioned, it landed so well. You ran it hard and nothing broke which is impressive. I am looking forward to the next installment.
I did one very similar a couple months back as I wanted the same exact thing,a great suspension and great air control. I started with the short wheel base vorteks chassis,upgraded to 4s kraton diffs, a metal upgraded infraction style slipper clutch,4s outcast arms,turnbuckles,knuckles and axles, used short shock towers to make it set higher with 4s stock mojave shocks,a 4s 130 amp esc from a losi lasernut along with the 1900 kv spektrum motor for awesome power, finally topping it off with a set of 4s kraton copperhead 2 tires and It turned out to be one of my most driven rigs out of the 36 I now have. Great vid bro. It's called the Vortoutjaveton.
That truck looks like an absolute blast to drive around, love the stuff you put out and can’t wait to see what you do with this beast of a car. For the shocks it could be worth looking into the axial bushings to tighten it up as well
Very cool project man I love it. I definitely think if you go 4 or 6s you should do a center diff. I love how compatible all the Arrma stuff is, it’s pretty easy to build something wild like this. Also the bug body is awesome but the senton body looks epic as well look forward to part 2🤘🤙🤘

When my V1 Senton eventually got worn out after much abuse over a very long time, I went shopping for a replacement.... After consideration.... I replaced it with ANOTHER SENTON.!! 👍 👍 😂 😂 I got a Boost & swapped all the greatness over from the old one.!! The Arrma 3S platform is very good.! I actually own the Senton, a Big Rock & my latest is the Infraction Mega with a 4S conversion.!.. The 1/8 Infraction is a fantastic truck btw.!! Tip for painting the new body shell... paint it from underneath with your color, let it dry and then paint white to back it. Then the paint won't scratch off. Great video!
That actually is what I did 😃. Except I didn’t let it dry for too long between coats. I was in a rush lol Two coats of blue, then white. The paint didn’t scratch off the top, you’re seeing asphalt coating imbedding into the scratches lol Thanks!!

Ive gone with the 2050KV Spectrum motor and ESC out of my Fireteam which now has a G2 Max6 combo in it...I finished cutting out the body today and might go a metallic copper tone with black backing. i really enjoy the inspiration you throw out mate...these Frankenstein's 9/10 times they turn out great and you get what you envision!! Oh yeah...done away with the centre diff and have a 48T spool / 16T P.. M1...mwhahaha.... Good onya champ, keep cranking these types of builds, we'll watch em!!! Take care!!
Cool! I don’t know man, I LOVE my Vorteks! I’m glad I chose the Senton but I also have the Mojave so that made my choice easier. Should work on the Vorteks just fine I would think.
You might like what I did to my senton. I turned it into a Hemi Cuda street drift basher. I used the 2.4 hoons. They look closer to scale to me than the 2.9. And I didn't need to change the hubs. I made no changes to make the body fit. The stock bumpers fit perfectly inside the body. I put those same white wheels on my Arrma Vorteks Ford Pinto rally-ish basher. They were so unbalanced it was horrible. They now sit in my spares box. You can probably use a small O-Ring as a spacer like the scx24 to keep the shock off of the control arm. Love your videos.

Love it. It lands awesome! Little high centered. Bring it down some to eliminate the rubbing/ interference and some of the roll over. Its better than the Kyosho Mad Bug and more durable. Great job! 😮
Thanks! I’m not sure I want to lower it. The front axles don’t really drag so if I can grind down the rear arms slightly so they don’t rub, I think it will be perfect. It sitting so high is why it lands so good but I mays till bring it down ever so slightly 😃
Nice! Well I would do this with your Senton!😆 I do show the chickens in occasional videos, but the white one I showed here is my favorite. She’s the lone survivor of a raccoon attack about a year ago. She’s also the only one I named. Fiona. Then we raised 6 news ones, and I don’t even know who is who yet lol.

Hey man, a couple months ago, I got the 1:10 lAegendary Thunder off of Amazon, for like $105 out the door. It's a true 1:10 scale brushless 4wd truck. Durability is between "damn" and "meh" closer to the meh end lol. I would LOVE it if you got this guy, so I can quit just throwing random parts at it, to see what sticks. The reason I'm doing that is because the available parts on Amazon for it are INSANELY expensive. I'm talkin like $45 for ally minyum a arms, FRONT, not both ends. $80 for the 550 size 3300kv motor lmao. I'm currently trying to stuff a Traxxass "intentional" slipper in it, since I've went through 2 oem ones. I've put all new electronics in it, now I've got the CF center brace, and the surprisingly cheap ally minyum chasis plate on it, and I got a metal ackerman, with Redcat volcano servo saver, and whatever the other side that holds the ackerman is called. Had to do that because when I bought the $30 frnot metal a arm holders, the stock stuff wouldn't clear, so couldn't steer... hey. Anyways, there's my life's story, does this convince you to get what's touted as "the cheapest true 1:10 scale brushless rc you can buy" left off, until day 2 when you break a $50 set screw.
I get asked to review that truck just about every single day lol. Not even kidding. So I probably will. I asked them for a unit I could review and got no response. Currently I already have too many videos on the works, but hopefully soon!

I'd really recommend swapping the differentials & inputs with those cheap Chinese Knock offs you see on Ebay, Amazon, Aliexpress etc, They're a direct copy of the metal 4S diffs... You get the diff case, crown gear & input for around £18 (in the UK) You'll need to fit the internals from the original Arrma diffs, they fit perfectly btw.! They come in various colours (red makes your truck faster, obviously) 😉 I've had them fitted to my Senton for well over a year now & they're nowhere near being worn out.!!! They're noisier than stock... But not too bad, about the same as any 1/8 RC with a metal drivetrain.! I have 3 Arrma 1/10 vehicles & I literally lost count of how many diffs I've replaced over the years, I'm talking like every 2 or 3 months I'd have to replace a diff. It wasn't because the slipper clutch wasn't set correctly either, they just wear out too quickly... Oh, okay.!!.. Maybe 4S is technically "too much" power, but what's "too much" when we're talking about having fun, eh.? 😂 😂 😂
Thanks! I spent $180 at Jenny’s. The tires were $82 (drift tires were around $35). Body was $45 or so. Paint I think was $12. Senton around $330. North of $650 atleast.
Thanks 😀A lot of people like to upgrade to the 4s shocks, and I believe proline makes an expensive set for 3s lol. I haven’t done an upgrade on a 3s besides this one which the 3s shocks would be a little short and weak for.
I just got a senton I'm ordering parts to do this now. I can't wait to drive it. I have 120 amp to throw in it. I started a whole RC business because of the alien 👽 video... It supports my family I sell almost 2k a week. I have 30+ online listenings to go. I even have a 72 volt 5000 watt electro and co ETM 5000 dirt bike. Talk about electric power...!!! Ya I have this kit here. Got the drill too but they do sell just the screwdriver by itself. It’s actually called an impact driver. You can use it for screws of course, but you can also use it for larger bolts and nuts. More powerful than just an electric screw driver.amzn.to/3SCdJOR

Explain me somebody. What is the difference between 45A and 60A ESC? Rlaarlo have 45 and WlToys have 60, but both run 2 and 3S. So what is the difference?
O it can my man. Will literally be sitting in the chassis. I use a 4s cooling fan zip tied down to help the cooling. Pair that with and smc 6s and your in business

I do show the chickens in occasional videos, but the white one I showed here is my favorite. She’s the lone survivor of a raccoon attack about a year ago. She’s also the only one I named. Fiona. Then we raised 6 news ones, and I don’t even know who is who yet lol.

Hey man, a couple months ago, I got the 1:10 lAegendary Thunder off of Amazon, for like $105 out the door. It's a true 1:10 scale brushless 4wd truck. Durability is between "damn" and "meh" closer to the meh end lol. I would LOVE it if you got this guy, so I can quit just throwing random parts at it, to see what sticks. The reason I'm doing that is because the available parts on Amazon for it are INSANELY expensive. I'm talkin like $45 for ally minyum a arms, FRONT, not both ends. $80 for the 550 size 3300kv motor lmao. I'm currently trying to stuff a Traxxass "intentional" slipper in it, since I've went through 2 oem ones. I've put all new electronics in it, now I've got the CF center brace, and the surprisingly cheap ally minyum chasis plate on it, and I got a metal ackerman, with Redcat volcano servo saver, and whatever the other side that holds the ackerman is called. Had to do that because when I bought the $30 frnot metal a arm holders, the stock stuff wouldn't clear, so couldn't steer... hey. Anyways, there's my life's story, does this convince you to get what's touted as "the cheapest true 1:10 scale brushless rc you can buy" left off, until day 2 when you break a $50 set screw.
I get asked to review that truck just about every single day lol. Not even kidding. So I probably will. I asked them for a unit I could review and got no response. Currently I already have too many videos on the works, but hopefully soon!

Did exactly the same last year with a 4s conversion, unfortunately the proline body just shattered on the first rollover, I was gutted
Man I thought that’s what was gonna happen, but so far it’s doing pretty ok.
I'd really recommend swapping the differentials & inputs with those cheap Chinese Knock offs you see on Ebay, Amazon, Aliexpress etc,
They're a direct copy of the metal 4S diffs...
You get the diff case, crown gear & input for around £18 (in the UK)
You'll need to fit the internals from the original Arrma diffs, they fit perfectly btw.!
They come in various colours (red makes your truck faster, obviously) 😉
I've had them fitted to my Senton for well over a year now & they're nowhere near being worn out.!!!
They're noisier than stock... But not too bad, about the same as any 1/8 RC with a metal drivetrain.!
I have 3 Arrma 1/10 vehicles & I literally lost count of how many diffs I've replaced over the years, I'm talking like every 2 or 3 months I'd have to replace a diff.
It wasn't because the slipper clutch wasn't set correctly either, they just wear out too quickly...
Oh, okay.!!.. Maybe 4S is technically "too much" power, but what's "too much" when we're talking about having fun, eh.? 😂 😂 😂

Thanks! I spent $180 at Jenny’s. The tires were $82 (drift tires were around $35). Body was $45 or so. Paint I think was $12. Senton around $330. North of $650 atleast.
Does this work on a Arrma Big Rock 3s BLX, too?
Everything should work exactly the same except the body may not fit as easily. Possibly it would though.

Thanks 😀A lot of people like to upgrade to the 4s shocks, and I believe proline makes an expensive set for 3s lol. I haven’t done an upgrade on a 3s besides this one which the 3s shocks would be a little short and weak for.
I just got a senton I'm ordering parts to do this now. I can't wait to drive it. I have 120 amp to throw in it. I started a whole RC business because of the alien 👽 video... It supports my family I sell almost 2k a week. I have 30+ online listenings to go. I even have a 72 volt 5000 watt electro and co ETM 5000 dirt bike. Talk about electric power...!!!

I used a granite put a bug body on and bam ,rock and roll toughness!!!!! I think you and little bro should get some eye protection like pit viper glasses would look great on and even better eye protection,and cool factor 10.

Ya I have this kit here. Got the drill too but they do sell just the screwdriver by itself. It’s actually called an impact driver. You can use it for screws of course, but you can also use it for larger bolts and nuts. More powerful than just an electric screw driver.amzn.to/3SCdJOR

Explain me somebody. What is the difference between 45A and 60A ESC? Rlaarlo have 45 and WlToys have 60, but both run 2 and 3S. So what is the difference?
A 60amp will handle the higher power 3s battery better, but for the size of the car, a 45amp is plenty in most cases

Just put the hobbywing 8bl150 esc and the 4278 motor on 6s my kraton xxl 4s is absolutely amazing with this setup
I’ll have to see if the 3s chassis can take a 4278 motor. Hope so!
O it can my man. Will literally be sitting in the chassis. I use a 4s cooling fan zip tied down to help the cooling. Pair that with and smc 6s and your in business
