- Who would have thought that we would actually ever get an ICE CLIMBER Horror Game! WhiteVoid, creator of LEFT BEHIND and CRUCIS MORTEM has blessed us with his newest creation called FROZEN INFERNO!
It combines classic Ice Climber gameplay from the NES Game with an extremley dark theme.
Popo and Nana were competing in a race to climb on top of the mount as fast as possible. Nana tried to slow Popo down but ended up killing him. After this tragic accident, Popo haunts Nana.
To make it stop, Nana decided to go back to the place where it all started!

It's a very simple game, but still very well done, both the story, the sprites, the challenges, it's that kind of simplicity that we like to see.
The ending game was like a loop

I've never thought we will see an Ice Climbers.exe. I think we need more NES.exe games after seeing this
I do agree with Luigikid and that at the end, Nana is in a constant death loop where she never truly dies. Though I think Nana had it coming, though yes she didn't mean to push her partner Popo to his death. But she still did do that.

@@darknova1552 well, actually I think it is referred to as manslaughter. When you kill someone by accident, but I hope you get what I mean cause yes, it was an accident. Though like I said Nana still killed Popo and he came after her for it.
@@DanniRamey-eb6ehI think the creator commented on this video and said that this is all a hallucination by Nana. Popo isn't real, and all the events if the game are just in her head.

we need more NES.exe type things, like a punch out.exe
That sounds stupid on paper but a Punch Out.exe has potential.
It could be like regular punch out until you beat like Von Kaiser, but when you KO him, the game doesn't go on to next opponent, and instead his face starts bleeding out on the mat...
You didn't knock him out you killed him. After that the game could go any direction.
@ChaosAnime1550 while I have no idea how gameplay would work, I can imagine a bit of plot;
maybe one of the opponents or even Little Mac himself was accidentally killed during a match
either bleeding out from a broken nose and/or worse injury or neck broken
or a Pixel freak of nature that spikes the difficulty, a never before seen opponent ends up killing you

@@NezuNeedsTea He was, it's and endless cycle of death, and actually popo it's not even real, the one from the start it's just an hallucination, and the one in that kind of purgatory it's not the real one torturing her.

I discovered Ice Climbers through an NES emulator that I installed on my tablet, so I will give suggestions of games that I found on it that could be horror like: Duck Tales, Bubble Bobble, Bomberman, Battletoads... this last one is already difficult on the normal game, imagine creating a horror version of it, LuigiKid would give the biggest ragequit in history (just like anyone else).

amazing, Ice Climbers is legit one of my favorite NES games and I will never forgive nintendo forgetting about them.

But this fan horror game was very thought-provoking as to what the fate of the Inuit in the blue coat might have been. I enjoyed watching you play through the fan horror game based on the classic NES game I played at one of my friends. 🙂

The story kinda reminds me of too late.exe, during SMB 1 world 8-4 Mario cut the chain to drop the bridge to kill bowser. However Luigi was in the bridge to so he fell and burned to death. In SMB3, Mario finally met Luigi, or should I say Mr L. 0:57
