It’s more or less what Oregon played except Oregon scheduled one SEC team. I think there’s a lack of respect for conferences in general. The national race is a fashion show. Being a competitive Chess player, I know how insignificant a single game is. Then I watch these football games and as soon as someone falls off the wagon, suddenly it’s “they ain’t that good”. Preston Thompson bad take. Oregon was very competitive with a team that beat Bama and stayed close with LSU. Chess =\= football. Utah hadn’t played anyone good yet and once they did they got exposed. Should never have been ranked 5th in the first place.
You’re presuming that Utah wouldn’t have been able to keep up with Auburn based on what happened against Oregon. Do you think if you play the same team five times, you get the same result every time? This is the problem with the national race in college football; you’re judging the relative strength of a team based on one or two games rather than the full season. Which is why I’m saying, as Oregon’s coach says, there needs to be more weight on conference performance.
Preston, while you are correct that 1 game shouldn't make a season, in Utah's case it is very telling. Utah played exactly 2 ranked teams and lost to both. As regards to their supposedly great defense, they never faced a major rushing attack. I believe the highest ranked rushing offense they faced during the regular season was Arizona, ranked number 68 of 130 teams. It's a lot easier to dominate mediocre to bad teams. Utah is probably a top 25 team, but I personally would not rank them above 22 or 23. Remember that they haven't beaten any ranked teams and should be ranked below USC, who beat them on the field.
USC is ranked because they beat Utah. Make no mistake, if USC played every game like they played Utah, then Utah wouldn’t have even gone to Santa Clara. But frankly, USC doesn’t always play that way. They’re 8-4 for a reason. And Oregon, well, credit to them they successfully ran the ball on Utah; something I haven’t seen in probably a few years. But like I said, those were conference opponents who nobody actually going to the playoff had played. Oregon would be going if those sneaky Sun Devils hadn’t stabbed them in the back. (ASU likes to do that by the way). Anyway, I firmly believe that overall records are more valuable than results of individual games. A lot of weird stuff can happen in one or two games.
Cookymunster hell no you think Oregon would stop Jared Jeudy, Jayeln Waddle and Devonta Smith or Najee Harris. Don’t let that Auburn or LSU loss fool you
Although I’m disappointed, I do feel like Oregon deserves credit for meeting Utah straight up like that. Few teams dare to try it. Even fewer have success with it. Even though that performance was (in my opinion) well below Utah’s standards, what the Ducks did was quite impressive. They stopped the Moss attack and successfully ran the ball on the defense. Those are two things that frankly don’t happen. Congrats to them.
Never had a chance anyway. If Utah had won, they would have needed Baylor and LSU to win. I doubt both of them win, either Oklahoma or Georgia or both would be more likely to win.
@@gregomy8845 Nah Oklahoma definitely would have jumped them, especially if OU were to blow out Baylor, which can easily happen. Utah should count their blessings because a CFP game or the Rose Bowl would have been embarrassing for them, the Alamo Bowl is more their speed.

This game is a perfect example of Oregon could've intentionally lose and still he in the Rose Bowl and elevate Utah to the playoffs, resulting more $$$ for the conference. I would like to see 8 team playoff format. 5 power five champs and 3 at large.
Pac 12 should get more credit for playing 9 conference games. SEC schedules cupcakes in week 12 of season for what? You should drop in standings for that weak stuff. Utah was brought back to reality, Oregon underachieved a little, but the Pac not quite ready for big stage. Give Cristobal a couple more years...
I was at school waiting to watch this game because it was a Friday and my dad was getting home early so he could watch with me (I was born and my dad was born and raised In Utah but we moved to Florida which is where this takes place) so I’m in 3rd period at pe and we are playing some weird German baseball, I didn’t want to play because I hurt my back the day before but I need the credit of participation so I start playing and I have to throw the wiggle ball up and hit it with a stick bat, I hit it and start my best run to the base, but in this baseball they have to hit you with the ball to get you out. So they field the ball hit me with it and I attempt to dodge it. My legs get tangled up and I trip and fall. There is a huge bump in my wrist and I try to push off the ground to get up and I feel my whole wrist just slide so Ik something isn’t right. Idk if i dislocate it or if I broke something but I go to the nurse and they call my dad(which is 45 min away) so I have to sit in the room for 45 min waiting and my dad picks me up we go to the er(this is around noon and the game was at 8) so they go threw the xrays and my growth plate in dislocated which counts a fracture I think. They knock me out with some stuff that they put threw my iv which they had to do 3 times. And I wake up and there is some wrap on my arm. They retake xrays and they have to send me to a children’s hospital to record the the wrist because they did it wrong and I have to wait for an ambulance to come and I rly need to use the bathroom. So like a real human instead on asking to use it, I wait the whole hour ride to use it because I don’t like making a fuss over anything. By the time I’m sitting a new room I was sad because I didn’t know if I would miss the game(yes the game not if my wrist was ok) but there is a tv in the room so I start watching the first 7 minutes and they have to knock me out again to recorrect it and I miss all the way til half way threw the 4th. And I end up missing the whole game and I get home at 11:30 and I pass out as soon as I hit my bed. So yeah that was the worst day I’ve ever been threw.
WHAT A GAME BY OREGON!!! Man, was I worried tho coming into this one. All the hype was on Utah and their tough run defense, Tyler Huntley, Zack Moss, ect. They all said before the game that it was gonna be won in the trenches, mainly my Ducks o line an Utah's front 7. But it really was. Aside from a couple breakdowns we protected Hebert well an blocked extremely well for CJ. Individual performances were great. Verdell had over 200 on the ground (to a D allowing less than 60 a game), Hebert ran the ball finally an made some really great throws, Brady Breeze was everywhere with the 4th down stop early an the pick in the endzone, Thibodeaux played with his freakin hair on fire. The whole defense did really. I'm just so proud of this team an what they've accomplished this year. A couple of stumbles along the way does not negate how good this Ducks team really is. Pac12 champions an headed to the Rose Bowl. Hell of a season man. Hell of a season.
Seriously though. This game was everything I wanted ot to be! The ducks have seriously changed their identity. We are still athletic but we are so much more diverse in the things we can do. I'm proud to be a Duck fan. Also Mario C. As head coach is doing a fantastic job! GO DUCKS!!!!!!

Fucnigha Slayer Georgia has a shitty offense and Pickens just got suspended. LSU going to light them Georgia bitches up anyway so this convo don’t even matter
This is why you can't believe the hype! ESPN made it seem like Utah had an elite defense & should be ranked top 5! They should have not even been in the top 10 it would have been a bye week for any top 3 team if they were in the playoffs, the fans want the 4 best teams not "most deserving" that doesn't win you games if anything Oklahoma & Baylor should have been #5 & 6
I never understood how that call is judged. I‘ve read the rule and I just don’t understand it. I’ve seen stands/confirmed calls that I don’t understand and I’ve seen reversals that I don’t understand. I claim full ignorance on targeting.
Ducks ran for 239 yards, UTAH was allowing average of 56 yards per game. Ducks scored 37, the most points UTAH has allowed all season. Ducks D only allowed 15 points, lowest points scored for UTAH all season. UTAH has been regulated to the.. Alamo Bowl. 😳 Great all around game and congrats to the Ducks, see you at the Rose Bowl. 🏈🦆🎉🙂

You can't have your cake and eat it too. Everyone in this comment section is talking about how trash Utah actually was, but also saying that because you beat their trash team you're playoff material? lol. Oregon is solid at playing the middle of the road teams, they can't ever compete with the top programs tho, their record against good schools, OSU vs Oregon 9-0. GA vs Oregon 1-0. Auburn vs Oregon 2-0. Florida vs Oregon 1-0, Penn State vs Oregon 3-1, LSU vs Oregon 3-1. 2 wins 19 losses against just those top schools. Ya'll always crack under pressure the second you play a physical team. I know I come off sounding like a prick but just the facts. Spencer Jones I’m a Utah fan and disagree with your statement about we’re all classless. I had a feeling the stage was too big for Utah and Oregon could win this game. Congrats Ducks.
Well, welcome to college football. You only get 12 or so chances and one week can mess everything up. I’ll betcha $20 that after the first round of playoffs, people are gonna ask questions like “why were they invited?” or “why wasn’t this team invited?”.
As a Utes fan, I consider the 2019 Pac 12 Championship loss to Oregon and our 47-7 loss against TCU back in 2010, our most humiliating and disapointing defeats in program history. We played so badly in both games, and I was so dissapointed. Both times the Utes were ranked in the Top Five and trying to make it to the playoffs, and both times, they proved they were not ready.
I can't wait for the upcoming season. Though Hurbert is gone, our next QB will have a great coach in Christobal. I just hope he does not stay in the pocket to get sacked. We need a runner like Mariota. GO DUCKS!!

People really thought this Utah team was better than OU 😂
They could be. This game does not disprove that idea. Of course we’ll never know for sure, but it’s fun to debate
I think OU means Oklahoma right?
Ilipan yep. I saw some Sooner fans use that so I thought that was what they preferred. Please correct me if I’m wrong bro
Brian Huckaby yes Oklahoma
Klik Ner OU is horrible neither Utah or OU played anyone all year
We all had our hopes up and Utah pisses the bed in the big one 😄. They’re not ready to hang with the big boys at the top yet.
I could watch this over and over. Great game.
I think that #5 ranking for the Utes meant they were the 5th ranked college in Utah.
@@RadicallyOptimistic I was including Jr. Colleges, too.
Thanks for the stream like always!! GO DUCKS!!

I want to see Oregon and Alabama play I think it’d be a competitive game
Cookymunster hell no you think Oregon would stop Jared Jeudy, Jayeln Waddle and Devonta Smith or Najee Harris. Don’t let that Auburn or LSU loss fool you
YessirToliver preach
YessirToliver I mean Alabama’s defense ain’t shit so yeah it’d be a good game 🤷🏽♂️
Cookymunster blow out roll tide by 20+
YessirToliver and Bama can’t stop anybody either so it would be even
Did anyone get a glimpse of the og Oregon run game tonight or was that just me
jhamir23ify we talkin deanthony Thomas days and Kenyon barner
Verdell came through similar to Lamichael James used to.
RIP the Pac-12's the only chance to get to the playoffs
Never had a chance anyway. If Utah had won, they would have needed Baylor and LSU to win. I doubt both of them win, either Oklahoma or Georgia or both would be more likely to win.
Zenigundam obviously your new to how the poll works my friend ~
Zenigundam actually, they just needed Georgia to lose and they’re in top 4
@@gregomy8845 Nah Oklahoma definitely would have jumped them, especially if OU were to blow out Baylor, which can easily happen. Utah should count their blessings because a CFP game or the Rose Bowl would have been embarrassing for them, the Alamo Bowl is more their speed.
Blame asu. They killed any chance the Pac 12 had.
that auburn and asu loss ... hard
As much as I would've liked to see a new team like Utah in the playoff, thank you Oregon for saving us all. They're not even close to playoff caliber and putting them in would've been a bloodbath and wasted game
You’re welcome Oklahoma- 🦆
Nate Lowe That Sooner magic works in strange ways
Too bad, oaklahma doesn't belong, the playoff needs to be the top four, OSU, LSU, Clemson and Georgia.
Striker 333 not if UGA loses. Only way I see UGA in of the lose is if Baylor barely beats Oklahoma. They will not let a tram in with 2 L’s. Also everyone would call SEC bias. From a SEC fan.
@@perserverance333 Georgia lost at home to a 4-8 team.
@@primeglasnow2661 baylor will beat OU, i just dont know by how much
Well this is what happens when the committee puts in a ranked winless team in the top 5.
I know. Clemson gonna get exposed soon.
Exactly never understood the hype behind Utah they had no ranked wins and lost to an 8-4 USC team
DillonDank clemsons schedule is actually very tough.
Just kidding
@@DillonDank i think ohio state will destroy Clemson this year they want revenge for that 31-0 beatdown! My prediction is GA vs Ohio State for the NC game! Justin Fields vs Georgia the team that chose Jake over him is a good storyline & matchup! Everyone is sleeping on UGA this is basically a home game for them but i think that they will beat LSU because of their defense & experience their 3rd straight SEC championship game in a row 3rd one is the charm
YoungHustla cute story line but LSU will beat uga and ou will make the final 4
This game is a perfect example of Oregon could've intentionally lose and still he in the Rose Bowl and elevate Utah to the playoffs, resulting more $$$ for the conference. I would like to see 8 team playoff format. 5 power five champs and 3 at large.
Them Oregon uniforms r fire....best uniforms in college....Them and the gators. But these all greens r super dope.
TY 4 all these uploads man!!!
Alabama’s worst nightmare of having to watch Hurts in the playoffs remains very much alive.
gor9027 well it just happened... OU
BOOMER
Nothing like having the score out of the shot at the end of the highlight.
You want the pac-12 to get credit for playing one more conference game but then lose to team that’s 5-5 and ppl are supposed to respect that.
Dailey Harris does this apply to Georgia, with their loss to a 4-win South Carolina team?
AGZ yes it does, of course
Brian Huckaby yes but that’s their only lost. If they lost again ppl would say they don’t deserve a playoff spot
Verdell and Moss - good talent right there
WHAT A GAME BY OREGON!!!

Swear football is the only sport that can be filmed live and the highlights look like it was filmed for ESPN Classic reruns years ago
This is why you can't believe the hype! ESPN made it seem like Utah had an elite defense & should be ranked top 5! They should have not even been in the top 10 it would have been a bye week for any top 3 team if they were in the playoffs, the fans want the 4 best teams not "most deserving" that doesn't win you games if anything Oklahoma & Baylor should have been #5 & 6
Tip my hat to you Oregon... Y'all went out and handle business last night! Nuff LoVe
I was really surprised they didnt call targeting on Oregon at the beginning
I never understood how that call is judged. I‘ve read the rule and I just don’t understand it. I’ve seen stands/confirmed calls that I don’t understand and I’ve seen reversals that I don’t understand. I claim full ignorance on targeting.
Ethan Fitzpatrick equally surprised when they didn’t call it on Utah later
I didnt see it. Wasnt watching the whole game.
Ducks ran for 239 yards, UTAH was allowing average of 56 yards per game.
Ducks scored 37, the most points UTAH has allowed all season.
Ducks D only allowed 15 points, lowest points scored for UTAH all season.
UTAH has been regulated to the.. Alamo Bowl. 😳
Great all around game and congrats to the Ducks, see you at the Rose Bowl. 🏈🦆🎉🙂
Oregon sacked the qb like 5 times, stopped them on 3rd and 4th many times, 2 ints
Just goes to show how Utah's stats were padded by shitty teams that they played. I've been arguing with retards for fucking weeks about how Utah is a paper tiger. They're quiet tonight.
Raw Material thank you!!
At 7:25 when the ball is snapped over Herbert’s shoulder you can see when Herbert is on the ground that the Utah players leads with his forearm at Herbert’s head, dirty player, good thing they got their asses kicked
OU, Baylor are somewhere smiling.

It'd be worse for the pac12 if utah actually got into the cfp. They would've been blown out by OSU or LSU
What was #75 clapping about at 3:06
besides that stupid loss at ASU,you can tell Oregon was a Playoff team
Oregon will go to the Rose bowl, and probably lose to Penn State, they don't want a piece of Clemson, LSU, or OSU right now.
Parker t every team you named was a national champion....or in the SEC....nobody blew oregon out except for OSU,yea a loss is a loss but you’re coming off sounding like we just get manhandled by these teams lmao, there’s a reason nobody wants to schedule the lesser pac 12 teams but don’t mind scheduling us

Can you imagine how differently this game could've gone if that targeting call against Brady Breeze (#25) had been confirmed?
Probably just as well. Nick Pickett is a tank, too.
Why is this game played on Friday night? All the attention is on Saturday's games, not Friday's.
@Christian Hernandez that was the idea. But it's not working.
@Christian Hernandez it was the biggest thing Oregon and Utah fans were talking about, not the rest of the country, especially people on the east coast who aren't watching west coast football at that time. The whole country will be watching the games on Saturday. All due respect to you.
What type of offense does Oregon run now?

How did Utah ever make top 5? I’m sick of these pretender teams being highly ranked and getting exposed as soon as the play real comp.
Well, welcome to college football. You only get 12 or so chances and one week can mess everything up. I’ll betcha $20 that after the first round of playoffs, people are gonna ask questions like “why were they invited?” or “why wasn’t this team invited?”.
Preston Thompson Right about that. This year should be clear cut tho. OSU, LSU, Clemson, and Oklahoma.

I know nothing happened but the lateral to the offensive lineman at 2:14 makes me really question Herbert's decision making.
Michael that was the play called by Arroyo...
You doing the Iowa Michigan game?
As a Utes fan, I consider the 2019 Pac 12 Championship loss to Oregon and our 47-7 loss against TCU back in 2010, our most humiliating and disapointing defeats in program history. We played so badly in both games, and I was so dissapointed. Both times the Utes were ranked in the Top Five and trying to make it to the playoffs, and both times, they proved they were not ready.
Baylor fans be like: everything is going according to plan😈
