what a year.
Auburn beats Oregon
Minnesota beats Auburn
Wisconsin beats Minnesota
Oregon beats Wisconsin
What a season.
To be fair, we choked that Auburn game away hard. That was our game to lose and in typical Duck fashion, we lost when it really mattered. The Rose Bowl is still really nice but we always underachieve.
Auburn had a DT sit out the bowl game who went #9 To Carolina. Might have had an impact when the guy who goes three picks after Herbert sits out.
Professor Statisyahu Derrick Brown? I’m pretty sure he was playing in the game, no?
@@ThisNerdyKid He played. That information was flat out wrong. The only guy from Auburn who sat out the bowl game for the draft was a backup DE who had 0 sacks on the season and went undrafted.
Professor Statisyahu no Derrick Brown played.
This game was physical af. These teams matched up very well and I really enjoyed it.
Andrew Martinez ducks are a better team.
@8balln8 killingu65 somewhat true
8balln8 killingu65 explain why you were horrified
8balln8 killingu65 This comment confuses me.
8balln8 killingu65 biggest upset of the year?
Oregon was on their way to the CFP until they shit the bed at ASU.
How many CFP games has Wisconsin been in??
Now that was how a Rose Bowl game should be ... down to the wire with two equal strength teams...too bad someone has to lose. Great game to watch on New Years Day
8balln8 killingu65 Dude you need to shut up with this bs. You’ve replied to almost everyone’s comment. Salty Wisco fan
@8balln8 killingu65 isn't the sharpest tool in the shed.
@8balln8 killingu65 I seem to remember beating Wilson in the Rose Bowl as well. Wisconsin isn't anymore talented than every other top program.
@8balln8 killingu65 Wisconsin's recruiting classes usually rank in the 40's. They're lucky to land a top 300 kid and if they do it's usually an offensive lineman. Wisconsin barely has any explosive playmakers on offense. Their QB is average at best. Cephus is your only real receiving threat. Wisconsin's roster is not even close to being a national championship roster. Paul Chryst extracts more out of that Wisconsin team than any other coach could. Oregon's actually underperforming here given all the blue chip talent they've recruited the past couple of years. This game shouldn't have been close. Oregon should've blown Wisconsin out. Paul Chryst's coaching was the equalizer in this game.
Not if you're an Oregon fan. We want weekly blowouts.
I remember sneaking into the Rose Bowl in 87...went to the information booth, carrying all sorts of cameras, had some Rose Bowl ribbons I found on the street, told the ladies at the booth I had lost my press pass...they sent me up to the press booth, I asked for an all access pass...field and locker room...bingo, I was in. First thing I did was go to the top of the press booth to take in the scene...then straight to the field. First time I had ever been to a large university football game...I was stunned. Great memory.....doubt I could get away with it again.
apstrad somebody try this and upload it to RUclips please!!
@@tyronedavis7094 in the 80s i wrote for a small newspaper called the herald news , that press pass was gold .
@zynjan in klamath falls???
On a smaller scale. In the early 90s i was able to sneak into a ducks game. Just basically walked in. Nice comment. Really cool memory.
Where is the proof. Your so full of crapola
This was... a great game and I’m proud of the pac 12 especially Oregon. From being 4-8 four years ago to being 12-2. 👌
shit game, bad ref calls and spots all game long
@@gregoryeverson741 The only call I thought was bad was the offensive PI, but after they explained it I agreed with it. I can understand why Wisconsin fans would feel jipped, though, but it was the right call. The Duck defender might have been able to pick it off had the receiver not pushed him down field.
Fr big improvement from last year
@@cryogeneric That was a GREAT call. Wisconsin receiver boxed out Oregon DB to prevent a a pick. You're not allowed to do that, teams try to get away with it all the time, refs often miss it. That was an example of high-level officiating facilitating the CORRECT outcome, not interfering with the game.
@@gregoryeverson741 Salt
I’m gonna miss watching Oregon football until September
Just keep up with recruiting and stuff. That’s what I do to keep myself entertained. Then you get to know some of the players more :)
TheRealJustinHerbert is there a specific way to keep up with recruits ?
I can’t wait to see Herbert in the NFL
They play Ohio State next season!
Preston Steeves not even sure this guy will play at the next level. He has been rather mediocre against some rather mediocre competition. The NFL is NOT the PAC 12!
Justin Herbert put on his cape today and led Oregon to a victory. Nice to see him end his career like this. He deserves it. From 4-8 as a freshmen to 12-2, Pac 12 champions and Rose Bowl champions as a senior.
Exactly. Talk about leadership. First he decides to stay an extra year to be part of something great with this team. Then he helps lead the team to the Rose Bowl. And when nothing else was working during the Rose Bowl game, he adapts to the defense, see a weakness and ends up running in for 3 TD's (something Wisconsin obviously wasn't prepared for). Congrats to the entire Ducks team/staff/organization on an amazing season and of course to Justin with his pro career in the NFL starting in 2020.
JCTiggs: Very well said.
@@JCTiggs1 Id be thanking the Breeze kid, he saved Ducks about 3 TDs from Taylor and 1 thru the air ... he was the only 1 back there.
He can‘t fucking throw the Ball!!! He will Be a bust, he‘s Not a 1. round Talent
@@JCTiggs1 that was oregons play calls not him lol
Gotta be happy for Herbert. Could’ve been a top 10 pick last year, stays to compete for a championship, and caps his career off with a Rose Bowl victory. Respect.
Ducks helmet was changing colors throughout the game...badass
Reflection of those pink clouds off their helmets did look cool
...and a new helmet for the ducks has been create🙂
@@seepodal8436 they've worn that helmet on several different occasions it's not new
Dave Fransen,I’m referring to the sunset reflection on their helmets. When I saw it on TV,it looks good for a new design.
Yoooo I was at the game. I have an unfiltered image of the Stadium with a rose pink sky. It was beautiful!
Oregonian here. Great to see the Ducks win, but Wisconsin really brought it today matching Oregon's toughness. That 87 Cephus is gonna be a star in the NFL someday along w/ Herbert.
2 things won Oregon this game: Herbert and the defense
let's not forget wisconsin giving the ball away with turnovers. especially the punter who just drops the ball. couldn't of gift wrapped that TD any better. had nothing to do with the defense
Danny McDowell Um, had nothing to do with the defense? Without the 3 defense-caused turnovers (not including the special teams play) this game wouldn’t have been a 1-point Oregon won. They definitely had a part to play, if not the biggest.
Danny McDowell Oregon is still the better team. Our OC’s routes that make no WR open costed us many drives and we missed our best TE and another impact receiver
@@dannymcdowell4998 u realize those turnovers were because of pressure from kayvon thibodeaux right?
@@SWAGGER573 and Breeze kick major ass!
Victors Valiant we depend on you for superb highlights. All the others are pathetic. The game was great, the announcer was great and the highlights were put together with perfection.
Theres a view who are just as good lol

Great game by both teams, and super entertaining. Turnovers proved costly for the Badgers.
Fun year watching oregon win games with defense for a change. Great game!
Now the long wait for next season.... 😞
@8balln8 killingu65 Which of the players are "skinny fuks"? It was a great game, get over it.
@8balln8 killingu65 My guy where are you pulling Wisconsin from with this whole "Capital of Sports" bs.
Wisconsin isn't even apart of the 10 states that make up the majority of the NFL roster. Florida leads all states with over 200 active NFL players, followed by California and Texas. You gotta be trolling 💀
@8balln8 killingu65 "see all the nil stars of today, they come from Wisconsin"
Tom Brady, Ezekiel Elliot, Dak Prescott, Lamar Jackson, Michael Thomas, etc., etc., etc... Most people in the NFL do not come from Wisconsin Buddy, I think more come from Ohio State
@8balln8 killingu65 And if we're talking about the University of Wisconsin and not the whole state... They don't event crack top 10 either. That title belongs to Notre Dame.
the stiff arm on Oregon's 2nd TD was a beauty!!!
Way to go Oregon. Pac-12 finishes with a winning bowl record, 2 wins against ranked teams and a Rose Bowl victory. If only my team, Utah, hadn't completely shit the bed against Texas :(
Yah, that was tough. I really like your coach and I think he's doing amazing things with less talent than a lot guys. It seemed like Utah could move the ball well, but they just couldn't finish drives.
I'm a Duck fan, but that Utah game UPSET even me. How could they be such a no-show against an unranked, 7-5 team?
@@SurferMan127 Because that unranked 7-5 team is better than the record shows. For God's sake it's Texas.
I was rooting for Minnesota and Utah both to make the leaps up the ranks to the top 4. Of course, caught up in their own hype, they talked crap about my LSU team. (Been a fan all my life, since before Kevin Faulk was our RB in the mid-late 90's) After that, well...they got what they asked for.
Yes, your Utes pooped the bed again}}} Go Ducks!
Hard fought contest until the end. Congratulations Oregon.
The Rose Bowl is the essence of college football.
Have to watch this again after Oregon joined the BIG10 😂
Thoughts of a Duck fan: I found myself frequently frustrated by how little the Duck offense adjusted after the Badger defense figured them out. They kept playing a plain, conservative offense of inside runs on first down right into the teeth of the Badger defense. Why keep on running the ball like that if you don't get anything out of it? It's amazing, though, how an opportunistic defense can cover up the sins of the offense by taking the ball away a few times inside Wisconsin's half of the field.
Well, yeah. The offensive play-calling was quite questionable throughout this game as well as the entire season for Oregon. I'm an Alabama fan, but I love watching the Ducks play, they are easily my second favorite team. I just feel like they were calling way too many "behind the line of scrimmage" passes. Very rarely did Oregon get aggressive and throw past the first down marker. However, while the running game was getting shutdown most of the game, and I agree that the inside runs were becoming way too predictable for Wisconsin, you should never completely abandon the run game.
They should have started mixing in some outside runs with their speedsters, and later on get back to the inside runs. But all in all, congratulations to your ducks!
@@kieoncoleman9810 I do have to say that allowing Herbert more freedom to run after using him mostly as a pocket QB during the season was a good offensive strategy.
@KFC Bucket I guess we got spoiled by the coaching of Chip Kelly and Mark Helfrich into believing that high-flying 50-point-per-game offenses were our birthright as Duck fans. Cristobal is much more of an advocate of physical play, defense, and ball control. Kelly's teams lacked those traits, which was our Achilles heel in the BCS/CFP championship games against Auburn and Ohio State. Arroyo's offensive schemes have fit Cristobal's style: more physical blocking schemes, more emphasis on power running, more conservative use of the QB in the running game to better protect the QB against injury. Sometimes Arroyo has tended to be over-conservative to the point of being predictable, but looking at the big picture of managing a whole season and not just individual games, I would say that Arroyo has generally been a good OC for the Ducks.
I'm right there with you - had we have lost this game like we did to Auburn, I would've been right in line to call for Arroyo's exit. So frustrating to watch it sometimes, yunno? Like we can be physical and throw in some flashiness or different stuff every now and then; that's what all the great ones do, at least
It was frustrating because they wouldn't let Herbert throw downfield. They just let him throw tunnel screens the whole game. When they let Herbert throw downfield, he hit the mark most of the time, though the back up tight end dropped 2 wide open passes for first downs.
My Gawd Oregon Ducks i Love U So Much!!
Dang, that was some clutch YAC by Juwan. Good to see Oregon carrying the PAC-12
Bennett expaciky his 2nd rose bowl
Oregon went from the Redbox bowl to The Rose Bowl. Great Improvements from the ducks
I love coming to this video not having watched the game or knowing the result and seeing the outcome for the first time. What a game! Congrats to the Ducks! At least they were able to redeem the Pac 12 a little after a disastrous year overall.
Wisconsin looked like the better team, but Herbert was a man among boys, talent-wise. Ball explodes out of his hand, fast as hell, big, agile. Needs to get coached up, I think, huge upside. Just watched LSU and Clemson, great QBs. Terrific, talented, polished QBs. But Herbert, geez, what kind of arm talent is that? Wow, blew me away.
Herbert has a helluva arm. Great player all around. Fun game to watch too. But, Seafus...I'm praying Philly drafts that dude. He's a damn beast
The Oregon Defense brought this one home!!
Brady Breeze went beast mode, that forced fumble was huge.
David LeValley 12:13 was pass interference. Change my mind
@@drows3y_tiger344 There is no way in hell that is pass interference. Change my mind. It was not called. Refs were right with the non call because it was nothing. Get over it!
@youreconfused LMAO...Excuses....keep telling yourself that.
Defense brought this one home? Exactly how hard is it to fall on a football when it's laying on the ground? Or pick it up and run? Lol. Cone hands Wisconsin can be thanked for the all the gifts, not the defense. Aside from that beautiful ball strip of course. That was a thing of beauty.
One of the greatest games I ever saw
Loved the Sooners this year but Oregon and Wisconsin would’ve gave them a better game this year. Way more physical on the defensive end. Wouldn’t complete necessarily on the offensive side but guess we’ll never know. 8 team playoff baby.
What about six teams with the top 2 with a bye week? I’ve always wondered about that one
i come back and watch these highlights all the time this game was just so damn good
I don’t know why but always liked PAC 12 teams so I’m glad they won this high profile bowl game wish Utah didn’t suck and was in this game lol red on red
I was at this game and I got a piece of confetti at the trophy presentation. Go Ducks!🥇🎖🏅🎟🎟
Yooo I did too. It was my first Rose Bowl I got to attend for the Ducks. I tucked it next to my Zoltar ticket that said Your Wish is Granted. I got it at the Santa Monica Pier the night before the game.
Ava Van Pelt we had some Wisconsin fans in front of us when the ducks made a good play I would always look in front of us and see them look disappointed. It was SO annoying when on the big cam they showed Melvin Gordon (a former Wisconsin badger) say jump around! I guess it’s a badger thing but it was annoying when they all jumped around and I couldn’t see since I’m 10 and I’m like, ‘4”8 and I coundnt see. The stadium was also ELECTRIC when the badgers punter dropped the ball and Brady breeze went down the middle of the field and scored a touchdown. Please read all of this because it took me a long time.
@@cal6957 Oh hell yeah it was electric when the punter dropped that ball. I was thinking I should record this punt return but decided not to since I was sitting in an area where it was easy to see. But man when the guy dropped that ball.I cheered so dang loud! The game was awesome to watch. I was surrounded by a sea of green and yellow where I was.
Ava Van Pelt it was a back and forth game. Herbert was definitely the offensive mvp. Brady breeze was the defensive mvp but I don’t agree. He scored that touchdown when the punter dropped the ball, but I think Troy dye should’ve been defensive mvp. Also, I don’t know how many times I made a O with my hands (stands for Oregon). My ducks played a good game and won though. Nice effort Wisconsin but they came up short. Go ducks!
@@cal6957 Hell yeah! GO DUCKS! I made so many Os with my hands. Shoot even the Oregon Band got some Os for me. My only sadness is I was closer to Wisconsins band so I got to hear their crappy game music and not the Mighty Oregon fight song. Sadness.
DAAAMMMNNN YOU'RE QUICK!
6:38 Ref got dem hands boi!
🤣
and Cephus throws his hands up like bruh
Wisconsin was super mad about that go ahead TD by Herbert. So glad that was the game winner
Uh no. The badger player got shoved into Herbert but the refs only saw Herbert get hit
This gotta be one of the best games of the decade
Wow best bowl game of the year! The rose bowl never disappoints!
Sorry but Ohio state vs clemson was ten times better then this game this is the second best of the bowl season tho.
This and the 2 vs 3 seed semi final were great.
Dre Day I think this game was probably the most physical out of all bowl games
It sucked balls in 19, 16, 15, and 10. Almost 50% of the time.
glad oregon’s back
Wisconsin's missed FG and other mess ups with Oregon's D. Wisconsin's D was putting it our Ducks.
I’m not
Bret Cobearo no one asked you.
Hahaha triggered!
Back? Wisconsin gift wrapped this game with a nice big bow and handed it to Oregon. If Wisconsin had done this playing Taft high school, they would have lost to them too. Botched punt and how many unforced turnovers? And Oregon barely won. But that one stripped ball was beautiful. Very heads up defense.
This was a nail biter of a game, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I am so proud of the Ducks.
Duck fan and I'm kinda glad this Herbert last game and arroyo he probably wasn't the one to get us over the hump but this team impressed me way more than last year
I dont think it was herbert, watching the game and all season herbert didnt really have any receivers to throw too, most games it was our playcalling on offense than anything, the only game he wasnt on his game was the arizona state game in the first half
I like Herbert don't get me wrong he's good but hes just not that guy to me that would win us a chip he should be a solid pro I think tho he's just that prototype qb but not like too amazing
And yeah arroyo I'm glad he's leaving the play calling pissed me off so much especially against Auburn

As a wisco fan I tip my hat to Oregon for the match up
Long post incoming sorry. I came to see highlights to see what it was like seeing it on a screen. I went to this game for my first Rose Bowl and I took my mom and brother with me. It was amazing. Wisconsin fans are really nice. Or at least the few my mom chatted to were. Oregon fans were chatty cathy as well so that was normal. I enjoyed shouting and trying to be loud when Wisconsin was on field. It was amazing. I was extra excited all day. The night before I went to Santa Monica Pier my brother and I got a card from Zoltar. His was a standard future card. I pulled a card that said Your Wish is Granted. That whole night I smiled. I had my card. Ducks would win. And they did. I held it in the air and shouted "Zoltar gives!!" At the end of the game. God this Rose Bowl was amazing. The cheers. The jeers.. the nail biting! The put your hands up and Shout! Great game by both teams despite mess ups.
I have snaps from Herbert's second TD. I also have the final. Play that sealed the game! Wowza!
Game ball to Breeze on Oregon defense. Most tackles. Forced fumble. Fumble recovery for touchdown. What a stud!

Talk about grinding out a win. Oregon didn't even play well and they still beat Wisconsin. Congrats to both teams for a great season and a very entertaining Rose Bowl!
And to use the famous quote... "Great teams find a way to win, average teams find a way to lose".
Cephas has a future in the NFL for sure and so does Taylor. These two quarterbacks on both teams are great. Great game, the best game so far in these playoffs.
Thank you for editing and posting!
An historic Oregon win. Props to Wisconsin for dominating time of possession and bringing big game to shut down our main R B.
Run d was crazy
nothing like Wisconsin laying an egg and fumbling the game away...
Gatomon Tailmon just when Taylor looked like he was getting going too, they cuten it up
The pass interference call screwed us
Not like us duck fans haven’t seen our fair share of egg laying
They sure did. You simply cannot win football games doing stuff like that.
@@bdgenergy975 I don't believe in "The refs screwed us" excuse. A good team never lets the refs play a part in the outcome of the game. If Wisconsin had not botched the punt or fumbled, they would have blown Oregon out of the water. They put themselves in the position to be screwed by the refs.
Bad Pass Interference call near the ends there, but a good game! The Oregon quaterback wanted to play for the Ducks since he was a kid so he’s gotta feel great
Oregon's defense and special teams got them the W.

Fine win for this talented Oregon team. If only not for that late season upset loss to Arizona the Ducks would have been a playoff team that might have given LSU a much better game than what Oklahoma embarrassingly couldn't do.
Wayne Atkinson lol no. Oregon let Wisconsin score 27. Imagine what LSU would do lmao. If Oregon played LSU; TD be something like 48-17
Never Back down do not agree. Lsu has a way worse defense then Wisconsin.
Maxwell Overton what 😂😂😂
Oklahoma’s offense is way better than Oregon’s.
SWAGGER573 that’s laughable. They completely shit on Oklahoma, a team with a statistical top 10 offense.
Maxwell Overton whatever you say. The Pac 12 is an embarrassment. The only reason our best team didn’t get blown out, is because Wisconsin beat themselves. Wisconsin is basically tied for second in the B1G, yet they would’ve clapped Oregon if they didn’t make dumb mistakes.
Anyone else remember when these two teams played in the Rose Bowl years ago? This was even more entertaining than that by a mile
@anthony gomes they didn't play eachother in 2010...
@anthony gomes head and shoulders better? The 2012 Rose Bowl between these two was even to me, the score says it all, 45-38 lol

@ Cocaine is a helluva drug
Okay, you're a Wisconsin fan, good, I have a serious question for you. Were turnover a "problem" for Wisconsin this season, or were the Ducks just THAT committed to prying the ball out and stealing possessions? Because Wisconsin isn't a team that I associate with ball security issues, and they executed pretty well (aside from a few procedural penalties) outside of that issue.

Jesus the most physical duck game I’ve seen all year. Wisconsin just shot themselves in the foot too many times.
@Pinky Toe No... Ohio State x2 was much tougher on us.
Pinky Toe no way. like someone else said, check the stats. Wisconsin turned the ball over four times, though two were great plays by Oregon defenders and another was an interception on a prayer, one of those the Wisconsin punter straight up dropped the ball. An unforced turnover that Oregon literally turned into a touchdown. Also, the Wisconsin kicker missed a chip shot field goal. That’s a 10 point swing in a game Oregon won by 1.

Amazing game. Like Thomas Tovey said, that is how every Rose Bowl should go, 2 equally physical teams, Full of NFL talent, down to the wire. Good game Wisconsin, they gave everything they had and did not give up. I am happy for Justin Herbert and his career as the Ducks QB ending with a win in THE Rose Bowl, of all the games in sports. Excited to see the talent the ducks are bringing in as freshman and those coming back after this year. Can not wait for September! Go Ducks!
Oh look. Two teams better then Oklahoma lol. Great ass game though!
Congrats to the ducks, from an LSU fan
WHo DAT BAbY
Really good game. At 27 to 21 in the 4th, I called that fumble at 7:51 by Davis and recovery by Oregon that led to their win. Right then I called Game Over. I have never done that before. That was exiciting.
I was so glad it was a tough game and not a one sided beat down like most the bowl games have been.
I wish the Ducks would have used Herbert's running abilities all season. Maybe playing for a national championship.
But they had to protect him. Thin at backup, that's why you didn't see him do that til the Pac12 championship game and Rose Bowl.
@@cosmo1eleven855 I agree. Maybe they should have started in the Arizona State game.
They didn't need to. The Arizona St. game was a fluke. If the Pac-12 followed the example set forth by the SEC & ACC and only played eight conference games that wouldn't have happened.
@@cryogeneric They did need to because they lost the game.
Big Oregon fan, we would’ve got crushed by LSU or Clemson. Winning a hard fought rose bowl like this over a really good Wisconsin team is better imo for the program then getting destroyed by either one of those teams.
The Rose Bowl belongs to the PAC 12 homie.
Agree
Tony Diablo usually, not last yr tho
@jp daliere they forced 3 out of 4 of the turnovers, not luck
@R R but without those turnovers wouldn't be reality. Reality is ducks won and badgers lost. To me, that says oregon is the better team. It's not like this was a one time upset or something.
What a game!
I was at this game, oregon side 12 rows up from the near 10 of the wisconsin endzone.Has to be one of if not the best all around sports games ive experienced. the rose bowl really is special
Goooo ducks 2020 rose bowl champion
GG, Badgers. Sco Ducks! Rose Bowl champions!
ShadowFaction24 Herbert isn’t a Sco. In fact most the team isn’t.
At 6:48, forget that the Receiver's foot was out of bounds, he didn't make the catch. The ball clearly hit the ground first, and then bounced back into his arms.
Not to mention it was offensive pass interference, not defensive. The edit here really doesn't show this though. IMO this was the worst call in the game.
Tirpitz that was as DPI the DB held Cephus and didn’t allow him to turn to make the catch which is why Cephus has to throw him off
@@lukeb1663 Re-watch the entire play, it's not on this video. It's blatant OPI.
I know Calvin number 54 of the ducks 🦆 so happy for him and the 🦆 are always been my favorite college football team
Wisconsin is arguably the team most likely to lose a big game, than any other in the last several decades,
Yea same with any other Wisconsin based team and I’m so damn tired of it
Actually they one of the best teams in bowl games
@@wearecjfansandsupporters2789 They've lost their last 4 Rose Bowl appearances... an embarrassment to the Big Ten.
@@jimbrew3058 they're also only 1 of 2 teams to win each of their last five bowls... if you're looking for an embarrassment take it up with Mich and Mich St.
@@adamhintze1456 Probably more Michigan. MSU has a better record. Yet Wisconsin lost another rose bowl.
didn’t realize badger hunting was in season 🤷♂️
Epic win
What a bananas game. RIP Wisconsin. Bad week for the B10.
