Fantastic. I love these videos. Amazing imagination and eye for detail. RUclips obscurity? Not while I have breath in my body. Great therapy for my crappy illness. Huge thanks
Interesting process, I've been watching your videos and trying that. Didn't work on the first try, but slowly I think I understood why you follow this process. An interesting practice, especially for composition and values. Thanks!
Sorry I'm a bit late but it's just been one of those days. I've long been in love with monochrome as I find it can be more dramatic without colour which I find can be distracting. I suppose this comes from watching all those film noir films on TV while growing up. So this mean that I very much enjoy your drawings. Thanks for the video.
Your art is so inspiring! Gorgeous and stunningly creative. Thank you so much for putting this generous video together. It will really help me get my mind around shading and make it easier to start trying this method. Your channel should be enormous. I tell everyone about it. Just keep going, it will happen. You have the quality in spades!
Yes, I've found that Sakura Microns smudge quite a bit. I was dissapointed to find out they were actually brown. Staedtlers run a bit less, and Copic fineliners barely smudge at all once they're dry.
I used microns for lining my first large piece and when I went to color it I got a big line smidge! I was so mad. Now my character is going to have to have a scar. 😅 But the comics are the way to go huh?
I tried after seeing a few of your videos and it's very pleasant ! I'm always afraid of ink and have always prefered pencil but this first light grey allows to go for the shape we want and then it's a really good guide. Gonna make some more ! Thanks :)

I have a couple of greys, 25% and 50% so will give this a go.
Have you tried with a fountain pen for the inking?
