Maybe the title references this (?):
“Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! In the same way, on the outside you appear to people as righteous but on the inside you are full of hypocrisy and wickedness.” (Matthew 23:27-28)
Not sure if AILD is still a "christian" metal band, but christian metal bands like Demon Hunter and Becoming the Archetype are awesome at briefly putting in verses that only Bible thumpers like me would get, and making the song revolve solely around that message. That was also they verse that came to mind when I listened to this. False prophets and teachers that put glitter on their churches and sermons yet preaching next to nothing accurate.

The song is fire. As I Lay Dying always had clean vocals in their music. Josh their old bassist had a better clean coice.they are from the same era as Killswitch and Shadows Fall.
It's a great song and I agree with the clean vocals..but in my case, I've never liked the clean vocals in any of the AILD songs.
This one for some reason hits differently
