Just a short input about the Bulgarian treasure fun fact you guys mentioned. The treasure in question is the Varna necropolis gold treasure. It dates as far back as 4000 B.C.E. So yeah, it is older than the Maya civilization.

some more facts about Bulgaria: Saints Cyril and Methodius were Bulgarians and came up with the Cyrillic alphabet, in translating the Bible to Cyrillic, that all the Cyrillic speaking countries use including Russia; it has one of the fastest internet speeds in the world; the bacteria in yoghurt, called bulgaricus, only naturally exists in Bulgaria which is why the yoghurt there is known to be so good; It has some of the most beautiful nature in the world; Bulgaria produces 85% of the world's Rose Oil which smells amazing and is extremely good for your skin! I love Bulgaria!

@imprisoned mindz Nope we are not vegans we love our meat and animal products, if you ever go to a Bulgarian village you will find the most real meat, milk, eggs and animal products overall. We also have great fruit and vegetables, but we love our animal products.

Wow, the head nodding thing would really be tough to get used to 😬 I feel like we'd piss a lot of people off... Or just confuse the heck out of them 😂
The fun facts reminded of that episode in Big Bang Theory where Sheldon and Lenard is on a road trip, and Sheldon made some tweaks on the voice of the machine that asks the questions. By the way, the head gestures in Bulgaria is really both amusing and confusing. So weird.
I know that episode. The car was stolen, and the two culprits enjoyed the fun facts too! lol
that shaking of the head for yes and nodding for no is really weird. reminded of Jim Carrey in the movie Liar Liar hahaha

the only way to solve that problem is not to nod or shake your head at all. just respond orally :)
I'm a Bulgarian and seeing how the shaking for yes and nodding for no is mentioned everywhere and it is really confusing me too. I can't say for sure as I haven't travelled everywhere but from the places I have been everyone is nodding for yes and shaking for no. And I don't think that anyone actually knows where this myth originated.
