I’m personally super excited, GEM games have a vibe and it’s always nice to have options. Gates of Hell scratches that realism itch that old Assault Squad 1/2 didn’t quite deliver on (something like Robz Realism was a must in AS2) while this game is clearly geared towards multiplayer viability. I definitely see myself playing both.
I lost hope for this game... betas were a mess and I doubt they can fix all issues since some of them were just the way the game was designed... mowas 2 was slow paste and more realistic and "fluid" this game feels like WoT version of WT
yeah it feels like if CTA:GOH was WT this is WOT. It feels like an arcade game, for example that HUD there is so much stuff on the screen that just doesnt have to be there, minimap is a mess.
It's actually crazy how much worse this looks both graphics and gameplay wise compared to even AS2, much less GoH. I hope they'll give me something to be optimistic about, but as of now this just looks like a straight downgrade from a game 10 years older than it
the only problem with Men of War games... including Gates of Hell, is the performance! You can see the lag even in the trailers lol. They need to fix it. I get that it is CPU limited but it does not use my CPU at all... while my graphics card is barely being used.
funny that people are comparing MOW2 to GOH during launch and the negativity. Remember that when GOH was released It received the same amount of negativity when being compared to MOWAS2. Have patience and hope
@@ChongiFishingRemember that you're judging a game that came out 3 years ago and received a lot of important updates vs a game that Is not out yet, bruh...
Well, only time will tell. But keep in mind that MoW II was already sort of out before GoH got all the important updates let alone DLCs. It was called Arena, and they certainly stopped when they weren't getting the players they wanted.
The way I look at it is that they just wanted to make the game more accessible to people disappointed in CoH 3 but then again, its just a checkbox is all
Men of War 2 - is a complete disaster with dumb AI and old graphics, sound design - copy-paste from previous games, nothing new, nothing good at all in MoW2 (cash-grab, not the game).
They need to remove even more HUD and UI elements or let them be disabled. I don't think this is going to be like MoWAS2 or GOH, but it'll probably still be a fun RTS. The biggest disappointment is that we do really need more MoWAS2 and GOH esque games, and this obviously should've been one of them. They added a lot of new and cool stuff, but they also got rid of/altered a lot of the staple mechanics too much. It's too arcadey, closer to 99% of other RTS games, instead of more realistic and gritty tone the series is known for.
Well unlike some im not gonna toss it aside when it comes out. This game still looks like it would be fun to play even though GOH have it beat in some areas.
Was fairly interested until the always online requirement was mentioned. Guess I gotta wait for them to patch in offline for single player content, honestly hate this recent trend in video games.

@@Blust4r_SL Graphics are worse than mowas2, you only manage squad of 5 most of the time and deploy them in lines, pathfinding wasn't improved, tanks have visible HP bars, the fights aren't intense, you only get the feeling of fighting skirmishes, the first person view is horrible & worsen the rts in itself (same in GOH)
@@NordicJarl27 I dont hate everything, infact i think GOH is flawed, and that even tho there is some great things about it, the GEM engine limits it too much and that they somehow worsen the ai. Looks great, but please remove that ****ing red blue line pleaseeeeeee, looks like there was marvel fighting in ww2, come on guys, player wanna feel the game environment not red blue yellow icons and lines
I have been patiently waiting for this game. It is the first game i have looked at in this series. As a former wot player, it looks cool. Think im gonna wait to see the reviews before i buy it.
Nah, I could see why people would like GoH more than this. Apart from this, it's just MoW Arena slap with a singleplayer element. There are a lot of reused assets with little new distinguishing features apart from the new idle animations which i fine neat. While the gameplay is certainly more fast paced it's arcadey feel may not catch the eye of most fans of the series.
@@gustavodutra8578 I was more saying it along the lines of it being a bit more fast paced than the older series. Of gameplay we seen the engagements are quicker and much more slick. Which isn't a bad thing it's just that i could see veteran players being turned off by it. For MoW is known for it's more gritty and slow methodical paced battles. It's clear that MoW II is going for a more streamlined design. More multiplayer focused (which isn't a suprised since this was previously Arena). However doing so may lose some of what made the originals special to begin with. I suppose you can have this going alongside GoH. Though this needs constant updates and a strong modding scene to reach the heights of Assault squad 2 had.
HUGE DOWNGRADE
MOW2 is certainly a game this year...

Thb this game needs a new engine. It looks worse than GoH. Even MoWAS 2 was kind of dated and that was 10 years ago
