You should put a plastic or polyurethane piece as a chain slide inside of the part you made as a chain guide. It'll keep your chain from failing at high speeds and injuring you.
Nice build, put a chain slider for that channel in the swingarm that you guys did such a nice job on and keep an eye on that chain tension... I can't wait to see it finished...
Hope you get some coverage on this BSH or similar magazines. I AM REALLY IMPRESSED that it isn't just a hack job. Those small wheels will be the limiting factor i suspect. Colours Old school Honda GOLD and Black would look KILLER.
watching this video is inspiring. i have a 2016 Zero SR electric motorcycle which would be interesting to install the motor, battery and controller into a grom. i realize i would need to completely rebuild, reinforce, and modify the entire frame and motorcycle, and i think it would be an interesting and enjoyable project. there is such an enormous demand for smaller size motorcycles to have much larger engines, i hope motorcycle manufacturers begin to offer such choices to customers. wonderful work!
Awesome stuff! Next time make one with a KTM Duke 690 R engine in it. Same power, more torque alot more compact and lighter. It's also a single so a real braaaap! machine
Ive been thinking about the Duke motor for months! My fav choice engine is a 450 dirtbike motor, gives the real brap that makes the grom fun to begin with, a 690 would be outright insane! My next thoughts are a Suzuki Dr800, or a CR500, but those are just pure ridiculous. Or the KLR 650, torque all damn day 😂
Holy heckkkkk, that thing must be sick to ride! Pucker factor over 9000, surely hahahah I'm no mechanic, but I'm thinking about a few things: Isn't the swingarm getting all eaten up having no protection from the chain slap? If you put some stickier/bigger tires and better front brake, would the stock forks hold up to the torque? Other than that, the bike looks god damn solid! Congratulations on achieveing such a ridiculous build! Now go rip the streets and have some laughs with the reactions
I know it's a Grom, but I'd put a slightly larger and higher rated speed tire on the rear, really amazing work guys - better than anything I could do, now I just wish I could buy one, lol
Que tal esperando se.encuentren de lo mejor excelente modificando intentare hacerlo en la.monkey 125 de la marca dinamo que salio en México muy parecida a esta moto saludos
A rubber on that chain clearance would be great so that swing arm won't be grinded with the chain. And a chain roller since the chain travel is longer. Just a suggestion...
Why didn’t you put a chain slack adjuster on it? Or at the very least a nylon strip in the chain channel so as not to rub on the metal. Just a thought.
I’ve watched this video a few times over the years. I desperately wish I had the funds to do the things I want with my grom. I’m a huge fan of overpowered and sketchy. I primarily ride my grom off-road and have been wanting to do a fork swap and longer traveling rear shock and hopefully one day I’ll be able to put a fuel injected 450 in the bike. I could easily get an old carbureted engine but I refuse to until I can afford a new one.
Yeah since it looks like the adjustment is all the way back, could probably bring the adjustment forward and throw a shorter chain on it. That chain especially during the highway pull scares the hell out of me.
that chain is just slapping around. why is there never an idler sprocket with a spring mid way on the swingarm on all these extended swing arm jobs i see?
I am stunned it does not burn the bearings out of the wheels no way they will hold up to that high rpm if doing 120 the wheel is doing 5 times faster then original made for but it is badass for sure
I think you might be a little bored with grom group rides lol nice build boys.
Grr
Or fewer people are watching those videos and they needed to do something stupid to bring back viewers…..
@@Rick_Sanchez_C137_ this was 2 years ago
nah cause 2 years before this some guy claimed to have the fastest grom and its a 2 stroke... n i wanna see a race...
@11:36, MAN look at how loose the chain is!!! Thats a death sentence having a chain come off while riding, holy smokes man....
You should put a plastic or polyurethane piece as a chain slide inside of the part you made as a chain guide. It'll keep your chain from failing at high speeds and injuring you.
I was thinking same. Teflon or something
UHMW
I'd be so tempted to go Yamaha night fluo on the colours.
Testing @ 9:49
imagine getting passed by a grom doing 100 mph xD haahahhah
A 300cc swap can do that lol
Bad ass work man, that's an awesome feat there.
I know this is crazy enough but be careful with the tyres, even good aftermaket grom tyres are only rated for 93mph (letter P)
It’s funny to see a Grom actually moving to it’s sound 😂
This thing is nuts! Props to the build boys !
Now when are you going to put the grom engine into the FZ-07 to make the world's slowest FZ-07?
Whats in my mind,,,,u just told....lol
Forks are pretty compressed with the extra weight maybe a spring change could help
You should put a rubber piece in the crevice of the swingarm, so that it doesn't slap so much. Slapping against that metal will damage the chain.
Me: *Tries to be productive*
RUclips: Hahaha 700cc Grom Hahaha
Power to weight ratio of the Gods
That chain is SUPER shady.. Maybe get a small wheel for the chain on the rear swing arm? I love this build!
Nice build, put a chain slider for that channel in the swingarm that you guys did such a nice job on and keep an eye on that chain tension... I can't wait to see it finished...
Adjust the chain, put a 130 or 150 tyre and thats it.
Happy Birthday to me!!!! This is a treat. I’ve been waiting for this for a lonnngggg time!!!!
Probably the best power to weight ratio motorcycle ever
Hope you get some coverage on this BSH or similar magazines. I AM REALLY IMPRESSED that it isn't just a hack job. Those small wheels will be the limiting factor i suspect. Colours Old school Honda GOLD and Black would look KILLER.
You Killed it with this Grom, great idea to put an MT7 engine in it.
the way it slingshots forward when you open the throttle is just insane. Its like watching an ant run like cheetah. Damn good work.
Looks bad ass rolling. The rear seat brings it together

You guys really teased us on Instagram😁
But it was worth it in the end🔥
A grom with an fz07 motor.... a mini version of my own baby dear lord
Here today, Grom tomorrow.

Now put a h2r engine on one
hell yeah
oh hell no😂
>*tries to accelerate* >>*engine and chain fly off at the same time*
Great build fellas. Amazing job. Was so fun to watch and finally see the grom07 fly by.
That Grom is a land missile. 🔥
Holy heckkkkk, that thing must be sick to ride! Pucker factor over 9000, surely hahahah

Imagine taking it on the interstate, and having to prove displacement to the troopers lol🤣
Men it's been a long time finally grom is done hope see more vidoe of it. Can't wait to see top speed (is like you have death wish if you do)
My man has a $13,000 Grom🤘🤣
lol no kidding
Oh man, it's been a while yo. Glad to see you back.
Been waiting so long, glad to see another ep from you guys. Looks mint.
yeah the Ohlins fork kit has stiffer springs so that should help support the extra engine weight & get you some ground clearance!
When your girl won’t let you buy an actual 700cc so you have to sneak an engine on your grom 😂
You need a new girl then.
@@sixdsix5028 Truer words have never been spoken.
@@sixdsix5028 I was just about to say that.
Gonna lose that chain... Did you see it flop on downshift ..? Lol Install a tensioner..!
Thought it was just me.
it's nice to see so many engine swapped grom
Oh finally been waiting forever
Yea no kidding
Yeah, we know it’s been a while 😬
@@BuiltByBailey oh well shit happens looks/rides fucking awsome 👌👍 good job guys cant wait for your next project
YES BOYS! Good to see you back❤, this thing is a beast!
Next put an FZ07 motor in a DRZ400 frame to make the ultimate lightweight but fast ADV bike. Or an MT09 motor.
Nice work, btw.
Thats literally a T7 with weight mods
Time to move to 1300cc
That thing looks fun as hell the only scary part is that fucking chain slapping around I think
Nice little MT-0Grom
I have an 05 R1 engine laying around, this video is tempting me.
do it. and please show yourself riding it. top speed please!!
DO IT, DO IT!!
Currently working on my Small block 350 project for my Jeep Xj but maybe after that
12:43 we have a ... uhmmm... "Private track" that we run... aka high way.
I know it's a Grom, but I'd put a slightly larger and higher rated speed tire on the rear, really amazing work guys - better than anything I could do, now I just wish I could buy one, lol
Great job with the build guys. I can't wait to see the final product on your project
Still has it's original vee rubbers. Very ballsy
Turned out bad ass! I would love to see it with the stock length swing arm. Please keep the wheels and frame black....
Lol I’ve owned 2 groms, no way in hell I would feel comfortable riding it at 700cc lol
Chain tensioner!!
Dude for real, I was wondering if anyone else saw that chain bob that much 😂
We tightened it up and added the rubber chain guide!
He has two tentioners on the rear..no guides..

Yeah.
That's badass!! I wanna do something like that with mine too!
HONDA. powered by Yamaha
Honda. The power of swaps.
I’ve been waiting for this since the post on insta
So sad I’m three years late to this I guess COVID made me miss it😢
That bike is stupid as fuck, I love it🤣🤣
that's a good way to get cheaper insurance and registration
That chain is scary ...... awesome build
Why? Guess you never rode dirt bikes then. You would be really scared lol jk. They did tighten it up and put a guide on the swing arm.
Welding vs power? Who will win
Dude, the chain movement on shifts scares the crap outta me! Can you feel that when riding?
Grom with MT07 engine😍
God I miss my MT07
I’d love to see an R1 grom 😂
no way, you were riding right next to my house. i live on mckellips
I can’t say where we were riding for sure, but come check it out sometime! 😉
Put sum dirt bike chain slide on that swing arm or else the chain gonna eat out the swing arm
was thinking the same
Put nylon where that chain ride otherwise it will go thrue it. And chaintensioner is almost must for that...
Lol right metal riding on metal
Spot on. If he doesn't take your advice he's going to cut through the left side of that swingarm..
Get a Chain Guard on that thang! If that thing breaks or derails its gonna Hurt!
This is completely stupid and I love it :D
This must be the luckiest grom out there
Nice build but that chain slack is a bit much any bigger sprockets fit even a old sprocket posted up on the swing arm.
You putting a QuickShifter on there, save your clutch and improve the launch to 60mph?
OMG. 😱😰what a bike..😍700cc HONDA. WAWW FANTASTIC WORK ON IT🔥🔥🔥#FAN🇮🇳
You need a chain tensioner, fatter rear tire and bigger rear sprocket(which will also raise the chain a little higher
Time for a turbo 😏
Why didn’t you put a chain slack adjuster on it? Or at the very least a nylon strip in the chain channel so as not to rub on the metal. Just a thought.

just bought mine and cant wait to pick it up 😁
This is dope! Sounds like a Crossplane too
Because it's 😆. They use MT/FZ 07 engine
Only downfall lol
Because it it bro
Cool build !
I would be a bit worried about the tires at high speed though.
That chain is 100% going to hop off your sprockets at some point if you don't change something
Yeah since it looks like the adjustment is all the way back, could probably bring the adjustment forward and throw a shorter chain on it. That chain especially during the highway pull scares the hell out of me.
and possibly take a leg off
Put a bigger sprocket on the back lol
I always wanted an fz07 engine in the new rebels, but this is nuts 😂 awesome build!
that chain needs a nylon runner.
@Kris Roberts theres a reason for that lol
@Kris Roberts you don't know what an extended swingarms is for do you....
9:57 is that a Mercedes on audi RS wheels?
Bruh I was thinking thjs
This is sick 👍🏼
🏍💨💨💨💨💨💨💨
what are the tanks for?
that chain is just slapping around. why is there never an idler sprocket with a spring mid way on the swingarm on all these extended swing arm jobs i see?
You boys are nuts. Nice one 😎
best thing I've ever seen
We’re glad you like it. 👍
Hey,it may be small but it *PACKS A PUNCH* 🔥🔥🔥
I would be concerned about tyre choice as sock groms don't go 120.
Good job man!
Have you had the chain come off and lock up the rear yet at 120MPH?
LOL seriously
That chain looks sketchy my dude.
I am stunned it does not burn the bearings out of the wheels no way they will hold up to that high rpm if doing 120 the wheel is doing 5 times faster then original made for but it is badass for sure
normal grom does 70mph tho
@@JackedBiker my 23 grom only goes to 61, 65 on down hill

why does it look like two balls of steel at the back lol
1 that thing needs a chain roller/tensioner.
2. Those front forks are so low and slamming.
3. Whats the percentage of grom vs fz?
