- Kilspindie Golf Club is situated at the end a single track road, in the village of Aberlady.
The course is sometimes overlooked by golfers due to it's bigger neighbours Muirfield, North Berwick & Craigielaw.
Originally known as Luffness Golf Club in 1867 as the 35th old registered golf club in the world, until a change in site and fragmentation of the club saw Kilspindie and Luffness separate, still only a few miles apart there is a yearly traditional of a formal request for change of name which is formally denied.
Kilspindie is quirky, however as a par 69 & relatively short in length still provides a great test of Golf for all abilities. The club is well known to hickory enthusiasts & clubs can be rented to enjoy the course as a true Scottish Links as it was in 1800s

Played Kilspindie years ago and It's a fabulous track. weather as per usual down the east coast!!

Another great hidden gem Thanks for taking me along. Well done Lee on the video. A few back had the opportunity to play a 6 hole course put in by the owner of the Isle of Eriska. It too was on the Firth of Fourth. We played the course with hickory shaft clubs, with split leather grips. It was an experience of a lifetime. That may be worth a future video!!!

There is NOTHING to beat golfing in Scotland, it is pure magic and the historical aspect is great as well. Many years ago, I was fortunate enough to play the Kings Course at Gleneagles, a totally, unforgettable experience!
Club captain eBay Pete is playing some really good golf at present, and even though he missed the putt, it was a stunning shot from a scary looking bunker. Pete’s a wonderful guy to play golf with, so genuinely complimentary.
I’m loving this latest “hidden gem” series, and so envious of you guys getting to play these beautiful courses.

Lot of the old boys at this club still rock the Hickories and plus fours. My brother inlaw has a membership here. Great course! Loads of history. The 35th oldest course in the world. 👌🏻

Scotland’s a great place. Did the nc500 with a mate in a 2 seaterTT. Great memories wind nearly took us off a cliff trying pitch a tent but the scenery’s unreal at times. Up the Golf Mates

I was lucky to grow up in that part of the country. Loads of great golf as you say. Kilspindie is often overlooked because its not as famous as its neighbours. Definitely worth a go.

Loving the hidden gems vlogs, Scotland on my must play list when international travel is allowed.
The best little golf course in the world love it.. we actually watched craigielaw being built all the time we’ve been playing there we thought it was going to be called kilspindie 2 . Another gem up in that area is Castle Park in Gifford, it’s an inland course but it’s beautiful.
I tell you what Pete is a really tidy golfer Liam. that handicap is a killer , great course really enjoyed the patter , i'm still catching up with the older videos, all brilliant,
Saw the North Berwick sign and thought you were going to play there (not really a hidden gem) but a place i will never forget as my dad caddied for Jack Nicholas there.
Lovely story about the glasses , Mr Mgoo 😂😂 loved that. Followed by eBays bunker shot, quality. 👍👍

I say it all the time and I’ll say it again I’m so envious of you guys playing all these great courses ,this course is an artist’s paradise,those skies were just amazing ,love watching you two playing a match no animosity just two mates loving their golf,great stuff fellas and what a great bunker shot to finish.

You need to get out to Fortrose & Rosmarkie....classic links. Played 36 holes in a day in a 5 club wind during the 2012 Ryder Cup. Great day. Spey Valley is another one worth looking at. 👍🏼

Played today and it threw it down going down 18. But it’s a delight being able to play 🏌️♂️
Kilspindie is a magnificent golf course. Not the longest, but definitely one of the most enjoyable I've ever played. It's a beautiful course as well and has a number of stunning holes. Often overlooked for the more prestigious courses in the area but that's part of what makes it so good and I for one am happy for it to stay that way.

Been up there Liam played Craigielaw brilliant 74 gross first time playing it really enjoyed it up there you must play Dunbar what a gem that is
Dunbar is a beautiful course, I stay in East Lothian and we are spoiled for golf courses! I have friends who are green keepers on Muirfield, archerfield, north Berwick and the Renaissance playing a couple of them next week!

Across the water is Edinburgh (Midlothian) You can see Arthurs Seat behind you in the closing credits. Courses in Fife are majestic also, where I started playing Golf in the late 70's. Great video lads, EBay is a class act.
