@cheffatgrams Thank you Chef! And yours as well! I'm stoked to make this. Buying English cukes today! Are your aprons for sale yet? Let me know. Ima want one!
Thanks so much, that’s so true. Some people can’t have the heavy whipping cream, but this recipe will also work with silk nondairy heavy whipping cream. hope you have a blessed day Jen.
Just FYI… Nut milks are 98% water. I now use a couple of tablespoons of Heavy Whipping Cream to about a cup of water. Much creamier than any nut milk and low in calories as well.
@johnm2482 the reason for the nut milk is to lessen the amount of heavy whipping cream needed. I get enough cheese and heavy whipping cream in a day, so I try to dial it down with other ingredients.😜
Just curious what purpose does the cucumber serve? Since youre not using xanthan gum or ice cubes is it used to thicken in place of the other things? Or what was the thought behind it...
Honestly, it was just one of many scenarios where I wondered if it could turn out really well. As you know, on the ketogenic diet, strawberries are one of the few fruits allowed in moderation. Mixing strawberries and ice, the initial ingredients lacked flavor. Cucumbers have become my go-to late-night snack due to their low carb content. So, I decided to experiment. After adjusting the flavors, as you can see in the video, the result was almost as thick as ice cream, with a delicious, thick and refreshing taste. As for how I came up with the idea? Well, if you could peek into the chaos of ideas swirling in my mind, you'd see that one idea leads to five others!😂🤣 hope that answers your question and you have a wonderful wonderful day
@@cheffatgrams thanks so much going to give it a go.... I like the idea of using other frozen products, in place of the ice, which does seem as though would add more flavor or at least preserve the flavors over all....
@michaelcox7586 thanks so much for engaging here in the comment section. Another motivator is the cost factor ice cream equipment can be very expensive 😜
This looks amazing! Yummy 😋 Strawberry shakes are my favorite and what a good way to get in some green cucumbers! Do you always buy fresh strawberries and freeze them yourself, rather than buy them already frozen? Thank you Chef!
Thanks Debbie😊 I purchase fresh strawberries whenever I find really good ones, but to be honest, frozen strawberries often retain the most nutrients because they are flash-frozen right after being picked in the field.
@@cheffatgrams 😁🤣😂 well we seem to be members of the same tribe 🤝🏻 🤭 Thank you & I pray you have a peaceful weekend....(I know it will be far more productive than mine 💁🏻♀️)
@christianefisk1369 Definitely in the same tribe! 😂🤣 As for productivity, it seems my "off" button was pressed as soon as I sat down this morning. This rain has left me feeling unmotivated. 😜
looks great, are cucumber pieces frozen too?
Yes it is, I freeze them in bulk too😊
Thank you

Looks like something Id just put in my ninja creami and make as an ice cream substitute.
That would make it a breeze, unfortunately, most people don’t have one. Please let me know how it turns out in the creami

Very pretty looks like a restaurant made it.
😊 Hey Ruth, I hope the weather in your area of Missouri is better than here in Springfield. Thank you as always! 🤗

Hate cucumbers, can you tested?
You won’t even notice they’re in there, but make sure to use the seedless ones. They're not bitter like some regular ones can be.
You're a mad🧑🔬🧪 scientist 🤭 😅 but it looks like it was a success!
Now you know, I’m crazy and mad. You can’t have one without the other.😂🤣 Hope you’re having a blessed day Christiane😃
