I dont know if i am deaf and too corny but i really liked the last part when Steve Carell sings alone. it almost made me cry, who am i kidding it did make me cry a little bit
The last part with Steve Carell singing alone is so touching. Amazing acting there.
I love Steve Carell.
Very moving scene, moved to tears.
that last stanza that steve carrell sings is the best part. its very simple but at the same time incredibly beautiful with his whispering singing. Its like he IS Dan and really feels the same thing as character the character. It really explores part of him that he only began to develop in little miss sunshine. absolutely brilliant
This was my favorite scene of the movie!! Thanks for posting!
I haven't touched my guitar in almost a year, but I picked it back up just to learn this song.
Also, while Dane Cook has been getting annoying for me, I honestly loved him in this movie. I laughed out loud on his improvisation at 1:52.
And Steve Carell rocks. Of course.
Great acting from both of them.
Love this movie, one the best!
so great and tender, love it when he sounds like he might cry at the end. 3 thumbs up! (i have an extra arm...)
i agree too! I'm so glad that he actually shows his acting skills in this movie! He's so funny and he can still pull off the emotional stuff too! gah i just love him. this scene is so cute

This song is timeless, a classic. I love how Dane and steve sing it in the movie. They make it relevant to a new generation.
My love knows he's got the key to my heart.
Just for you HBB ;)

"Let My Love Open the Door" originally by Pete Townshend. Also great versions out there by Sondre Lechre, Pearl Jam, and last but not least Audio Adrenaline. Great, simple tune.....something about this song that makes it more than a G-C-D song.
i like the end of the song when Dan sings alone its Quite Sad.. not crying sad but.....
Btw great acting
I just rented the film, and this is how the scene went in the DVD version. I didn't get to see it in the theater.
