It's disconcerting.
Yeah man I love Jimmy he's a top comedian and really pushes the boundaries and quite often over steps but it's "just jokes" this set literally made me wonder if there was a crowd.. He tried a little boundary pushing but it seems like it was lost on the audience.. He had to joke explain a few times.. Sad really and not his best reaction.. The crowd were the reason though.. Shocking sense of humor and he simply wasted his time here.

@@thechurchofsupersampling only seen a couple of his U.S. shows, but his U.K. shows are faster delivery with more jokes in the same amount of time, crowds with him every step with either roaring laughter or gasps of disgust, much dirtier, more offensive, darker and politically incorrect.
This definitely seemed slower and tamer but I still enjoyed a bunch of it.
The American sense of humour is no laughing matter.

Jimmy Carr is a real comedian. He reminds me of the stand-up shows of Rodney Dangerfield, Don Rickles, Daniel Tosh (live stand-up, not his internet joke TV show), and Ron White.

I have heard 3/4 of those jokes 10 years ago. I live in uzbekistan. Maybe thats why they were not crazy amused. And maybe because he just went on stage and told some jokes with no context, or story. Pretty mediocre.

His jokes are on about the same level of crassness as Jimmy's. His delivery is different, but they both take no prisoners.
I think they just rounded up the biggest wimps they could find to let Jimmy loose on, and he drew back when he saw them get triggered over the shark joke.
Ironically, this NYC crowd were more uptight than any British set Jimmy's ever done.

So many of his jokes are based on not saying the actual punchline, but letting the crowd make the connection themselves. This crowd feels like they are waiting for a punchline, and are a couple minutes behind the mark as a result
The American audience created a nice tension in the atmosphere, with Jimmy restraining himself somewhat. He was like a Ferrari in a traffic jam.

I'm American and I find this audience offensive. I love Jimmy Carr and him dumbing any part of his show down ruins a lot of great jokes and parts that he does.
Just might have something to do with having a smaller crowd and some people are afraid to laugh too loud or too long so they don’t miss the next joke.

which is why he wasn't getting any laughs. I'm usually laughing so hard that I can't breathe, but this set just wasn't that good. I barely manage a few chuckles here and there. I'd have been extremely disappointed if I was there in person.

I think it's Jimmy to blame for holding back. It might be because he had to, due to the venue, but he clearly was holding back and shouldn't have. Lots of Americans love Jimmy and his usual act. There was just something wrong here.

I don't think the audience truly appreciated Jimmy's genius.

I am not an english native speaker (spanish btw) and i get the jokes at normal speed.
The few times the crowd goes "hahah....ooohhhh" are the funniest parts of the video. Funnier than the jokes themselves.
I like the faster delivery in his other shows. Much more enjoyable. Ha Hah HAAAA!
