I literally have anxiety and agoraphobia because I was a customer service manager lol. I prided myself for getting through the training when so many quit and then being promoted until I started having panic attacks in public because of the stress. Plus the pay is generally horrible. I do not recommend, sorry, but appreciate the rest of the advice!

Doesn’t choosing to work from home simply because of the fear of leaving the house only reinforce your condition? Only making things worse for when you do need to leave the house.

Yup, you’re right and bring up a great point! Avoidance of any fear or phobia will reinforce the fear response in the long-term. Anyone trying to overcome agoraphobia should absolutely be taking small steps outside their comfort zone (by leaving the house, etc.) whenever possible.
I wouldn’t recommend someone switch from their current career to one of these simply because they’re starting to feel more anxious/agoraphobic. Rather, these suggestions could work for someone who is already deep in the throes of agoraphobia (maybe someone who has suffered from it for years without working a regular job). In those cases, this would be a positive step in the right direction.

I want a remote job so that I can travel, hang out with friends, go out more, and take up other interests/hobbies

@@kriscrystaline9793 Yup, that's why I work remote as well! Another job to consider (I did it for a few years and loved it, although not remote) is working as a flight attendant. One of the most flexible jobs ever that allows you to travel a ton and keep in touch with friends from all over :)
