A: I use Adobe Photoshop, Premiere Pro & After Effects. Photoshop for image editing and thumbnails. Premiere Pro for compositing and After Effects for motion graphics (the fancy animations). Игры

@@titan_dust valve has A setting for censoring language client side in tf2.
It should be enabled by default.
Also there is no universe where this doesn't take constant attention from someone volunteering to mod the server.
If you simply temp-ban over specific words people will subvert them, requiring mod intervention more often.
I think the current systems distributes the trust and effort of banning people we don't want to play with well.
If someone is being unacceptable in the chat the immediate solution is voting to mute or kick them, if they keep coming back then you report in the discord so the mods can deal with it when they have time.
You can also personally mute people as you like.

technically, it would be more like the person who made the iv's/was hooking people up to them had their own personal implosion, instead of the whole universe

I'm surprised there haven't been more bugs related to the player count being jacked up to 100, and code expecting the limit to go no higher than 32 failing to handle it.
I'm guessing that there's few places where it's hardcoded to be 32 players or similar, and instead references some sort of constant, and they basically just need to update that constant and most everything follows suit
The devs must have fixed those preemptively before releasing the update

As a mere fact, the dispenser crash could also occur during payload gamemodes as well, since the payload entity acts as level 1 dispenser.

I like how unrestricted player max is technically unsupported, but they attribute the dispenser crash to it nonetheless when fixing it
Generally "unsupported" doesn't mean "won't provide support," instead meaning "we don't guarantee this will work properly."
Unsupported features in major programs will usually get bugfixes, but people using the features are doing so under the expectation that there *will* be bugs or other problems.
Yeah "unsupported" means the developers reserve the right to say "we ain't gonna fix that"

One reason why we may have dodged the dispenser crash for 16 years is that most game modes either "require at least 1 person on the enemy team" (VS Saxton Hale) or "have a lower player cap" (MvM)

I am a newbie programmer, but... why not use a list instead of an array? It's infinitely extendable, and given the small scale of TF2 it's unlikely to be that much slower than an array of the same size.
Or am I missing something, and lists are still just arrays internally?
@@tbotalpha8133 as far as i know, the expansion of lists can require a lot of work on the cpu if theyre large enough and allocating a fixed size of memory can be much more efficient on the cpu (arrays are also index based)

I once played in a 1000x server and in 1000x one engi could build one teleporter entrance and exit, three sentries and three dispensers. You know where that went.

you have no idea how nice it was to see steels main point get its own special spot.
It's really awesome for them to fix bugs relating to a command that they warned was unsupported. That shows there's some level of care still even though the game doesn't get big updates very often.
Saying it's unsupported is just CYA, in case something comes up that's really not worth the time

I actually ran into this bug a few times during the DFS Finale event. We'd occasionally all be moved to the same team for certain maps to address how cluttered things got, and I crashed out a few times whenever people started building dispensers. Now I know why.

aw I wish the cp_steel door launch stayed. was a really fun thing, you could replicate it consistently by crouching as you left the door as pyro, maybe other classes dont need to crouch but idk anymore

I found the glitch on cp_steel with the door and I found it hilarious when the update released but now I'm kinda sad they fixed it, since it was really fun the catch unsuspecting players with it
honestly dont understand why they fix fun niche map "features" like this; goes against TF2's glitch ideology. makes me sad to see the cp_steel stickybomb grate glitch gone and now the door too

I think the most interesting parts of this entire Update Cycle has been discovering that the last remaining TF2 Dev must *really like* CP_Steel.
Steel was community made, so whoever is updating cp_steel is not a Valve dev but the map creator that somehow wants to revisit their over a decade old project. Can't blame them though, I love Steel.
Its the map maker Fishbus who decided to update steel. Valve does include it in the game after he sends it to them, but why wouldnt they, since its just better.

I imagine that the issue could only happen in cases where over 32 players were all actually getting something from the dispenser given the particles stop when your at full health or when there is no ammo in the dispenser.
It would likely require placing the dispenser with over 32 players already within the healing radius to ensure all the beams happen at once.

Does.. did that healing beam crash also affect player destruction ? It could be a lot more plausible to have 33 players around you if you're a walking dispenser in a choke point.
It's safe to assume it would, although that happening would require more than 32 players playing player destruction beforehand (unlikely)

the steel gate change is a bit of a shame to me, skill based movement bug that looks cool to pull off now removed. :(
Someone recently found a way to do infinite damage with the mantreads, but couldn't kill an übered player. Yet an übered player dies instantly to a cliff despite it being possible to tank the damage with enough HP. And then there's the train that sonehow kills everything. What's going on here?
I’m starting to think ‘unsupported’ just means ‘there’s gonna be bugs since we don’t know what 100 players will do’ and not ‘we’re not gonna fix those bugs’. Maybe they should have just tagged it as a beta feature?

Depends on the definition of "Easily". Shounic's 100 player server doesnt encounter crashes or bugs, at least not ones that are caused by the amount of players directly. There probably are some other ones that require situations that occur rarely. But if theyre rare, theyre not easily broken

for example, how does the game handle extra particles like Jarate, Mad Milk, or Medic's Taunt? Does it also have a player limit?
@@SheepRunner for those examples they dont seem like they have a limit, you can have lots of people milked, jarateed, healed by amputator and buffed by banners at the same time. Its probably because they are assigned to a player or something instead of being put in some list.
