in general Jin and Jimin feel much more comfortable in a higher range, V especially, but Jungkook as well always say that most bts songs are to high for them to be comfortable. So it’s interesting how here Jin seems to be more comfortable in the lower range

This is just my opinion cuz I love all 7 members unique capabilities. Also the fact that V had a stomach ach during this and still performed so well blows my mind.

@@nostalgiaatitspeak9247 V can't sing higher than Jin. Listen to his song MOON. Every member agrees Jin has the highest range. And his lowest note ever for now is G2! - F3#, in Dionysus Jin clearly stepping into the V's range. So they both have pretty wide ranges

jin, probably, has the widest comfortable range of the singers. he floats up there with jimin a lot, but is still comfortable matching with Tae(V). I know the others have talked about Jin and Jimin going up higher than them. and Jin has quite the high belt on him. to see Jin's range in action, you have to check out Dionysus. People will often miss its the same voice(and not 2 different people), doing this low-high back and forth. I don't really know how to describe it. on the regular audio of the song, it starts at about 53, 54 seconds. He's juxtaposed with JHope at that time. He does it multiple times in the song.
I. Freaked. Out. When I found out some of those low notes were JIN!!! The live version would be much better for him because live, and because he can then see who is singing when. And the stage is just amazing
Jins definitely seems like he has the most octaves and I thought for sure he did however after researching and cross referencing V actually has the most which gives him a broader reach of notes or widest vocal range. All 4 of the vocalists can sing 3 octaves however V can sing 3 octaves, 5 notes and 1 semi tone (Eb2 to D6). Keep in mind this is just recorded sound amongst all of them so they may actually have more surprises out there for us.

It's literally one of my favorite songs they have ever done, and one of their earlier releases.
Jin and Jimin are more comfortable at their higher range while Taehyung and Jungkook are more comfortable at their lower range. Most of the higher parts of their songs are given to Jin and Jimin. Great reactions ❣️.
love that you include the rappers when you talk about each of their voices, i’ve noticed that most vocal coach reactors don’t, which i don’t blame if they don’t feel comfortable with it but it’s just really nice to hear about each of them individually
sorry but I'm just over here laughing at the idea of you pinching Jin's nose.. it's too funny!! So according to you, the comfort zone scale wise is Jimin - JK - Jin - V? I ask this because the team did this sort of self interview about the BE album last Nov and during the conversation about a song Blue & Grey, both JK and V mentioned that the scale of their songs keep getting raised because of Jimin and Jin. I wonder if you will change your mind as you hear more songs.
Not necessarily range- more tone. Just off the top of my head for building a tasty 4 part harmony I’d use V for a Smokey smooth lower end, Jin to beef out the middle, with Jungkook brightening the upper part of the mid range, and Jimin sitting on top with the light tone. I think it’d mix really well, but you could flip it the other way and get an interesting mix too!
@@SSTVocalCoach Honestly? I'd agree with you because to my relatively untrained ear, I find Jin's tessitura lower than the notes they generally have him sing. He's always belting a C-G5 both in full and mixed (probably because he's the 'official' belter of the group) but I feel like a 4 is a very beautifully comfortable scale for him in comparison. But I'd also say that with time Jimin has gotten more and more power in his high notes and can belt a bit too. V and JK seem to have thinner high notes. Maybe it's time to hear more harmonies from the group. PS: Thanks for answering! 💜
@@SSTVocalCoach Love this idea(and your reaction videos)! And I definitely think vocal line can definitely pull it off. They've spent years singing together. Jungkook is my favorite vocal tone. He is so perfectly in the middle making his voice so soothing. Great review as usual. Their Japanese songs often have high notes in them and that’s why they say that Jin and Jimin own the Japanese songs. I find your reviews so helpful in understanding the process involved in singing, thank you for your clarity. You are still rocking the blonde hair! 😍
They seem to be doing more harmonies now than previously. Te be fair, MOST of their songs have choreography and since they sing live while dance, it can make harmonizing difficult. You hear more of it when they do things like Tiny Desk, MTV Unplugged, and Armypedia. I can't recall if you've reacted to The Truth Untold, but there are some sections with harmonies in that song.
Sam you're the best vocal coach out there! You even sound similar to them when explaining every member's tone, how awesome! I love that your explanations are specific and comprehensive at the same time. Good job!
Could you possibly analyze Gjon's Tears - Tout l'univers ? He has an incredible tone and quite a range too. I would love to hear your comments about his singing style. Cheers!
Jungkook composed the “Your Eyes Tell” that was assigned to be the official soundtrack of the Japanese movie of the same title or “Kimi No Me Ga Toikakete Iru” in the local language. It was originally intended for his highly-anticipated solo mixtape. The film was a remake of the South Korean film called “Always” and the new version premiered last week in both Japan and South Korea.

Out of all the vocalists, I have to say V is my favorite. His tone is just my cup of tea. Not to say the others are bad , they all our good singers but V's voice resonates with me like a warm blanket. Thank you for analyzing everyone, and super spot on use of anatomy.
I love watching all kinds of reaction videos, but vocal coach reactions are some of my favorites, because you can just see on their face when something really interesting happens. And they have the knowledge to explain what it going on and how the artist is accomplishing it! Lovely reaction, and I agree - they should give us more harmonies.
May I just say, that you’re one of my most favourite reactors. I have genuinely learnt a lot by listening to your analysis and do love how appreciative you are of all the boys by praising them while explaining techniques they implement when singing and rapping. They’re all unique in their own way. Thank you so much for your reaction!!
Your Eyes Tell is such a beautiful song, Jungkook also wrote it in pretty sure 🥺 the performance of this song gives me goosebumps, especially those beautiful harmonies
He did write it, but you can't really say that on the official page because solo stans will get insecure and say that we're forgetting to acknowledge the people behind the scenes, lol.
"i'm not gonna pinch Jin's nose but if I did...". I laughed out loud, seriously this is why I keep watching your videos. You explain technical singing super well AND you make it fun. Also I'm super jealous of your oxalis, it's gorgeous, mine isn't that pretty :o
You are so my favorite vocal reactor. I love the explanation and examples in your own voice. Thanks for reaching to this song. It's one of my favorite.
Lovely hearing all your analysis of how they're making all the vocal sounds that they do! Also love that you're using all the anatomical terms, I'm a speech language pathologist where voice stuff isn't my specialty, but I'm interested in learning more about it, and your use of the terms really helps me to connect to what parts I'm using when I sing! :P Also I'm slowly going through your BTS playlist a lil bit at a time and I'm frankly super impressed at how fast you've learned their names, even if you had to go back and make corrections a couple times :P Edit to add: ahhh I'm SO with you on wanting more harmonies. For a lot of their work, any harmonies they do are often just singing in octave unison, at most maybe two-part harmony. Can you speak to the level or kind of training needed to sing harmonies vs the solos or tossing parts of lines back and forth (which is common with many kpop groups so everyone gets something to sing). I feel like the guys may not have really trained in that, from my time singing in choirs it definitely took a lot of practice and concentration to hold my alto part against all the other parts singing 😅
Truth untold is beautiful!! You would really love it! It's the four vocalists and it's just amazing, in the live performance Jimin gets emotional and his voice cracks a little bit but I think it really adds to the song💜
Thank you for this reaction, I really love the way you explain to different vocal styles and techniques! Your Eyes Tell is one of my favorite BTS songs, it’s just so calming and beautiful!
Thank you so much for reacting to this. I love hearing the breakdown of each members vocal. I read somewhere that V was sick with stomach problems during this performance. I don't know if it's true or not but I think that makes his vocal more impressive if it is I second the comments saying to react to BTS Butter at the BBMAs
I love your breakdowns. I feel like you really understand their voices better than other reactions I’ve seen, whereby they are uncertain about where the sound comes from.
When you react to butter live. The 6 notes " Riff " you will be hearing in the middle of the song it's JUNGKOOK’S 💜 just a side note because everyone who react either to the MV or the live thought it was V's and thank you 💜

@@vviiivviii Same...i love them & their different vocal tones & textures that's why i know by heart who's singing.. same with the first time i heard butter 🥰 BTS are kings really..such a distinctive & beautiful vocal line & powerful, best rap line😌✨💜
I love all of the descriptive words you use to explain their tones and techniques. I can understand it better. It's easier for people like me who don't know about voices.
Thanks for this! I always love your analyses of the voices! About your wish for more harmonies, I believe they’ve done 2-part harmonies in quite a few songs, but I don’t think they’ve ever done a full 4-part harmony? (ARMY correct me if I’m wrong!) However I think the reason they don’t tend towards harmonies is because most of their performances are extremely dance-focused and very very physically demanding. So if all 4 of them had to sing at the same time, it’d be very difficult to catch their breath in between all the dance moves. If they take turns with the lines the others can have a breather every now and then and focus on the choreography. But I totally agree, a full 4-part harmony would be absolutely gorgeous - especially in songs like this where they’re just standing and focused on singing as opposed to dancing. Maybe some day! Fingers crossed!
Jimin and suga singing. Jhope and Jk rapping together. Yes. House of cards; dimple; listen to the vocals blend . Jin is actually very good high. Jimin worked at it more. Serendipity, you can see where his voice sits perfectly. But that was then. Now Jimin is just out of this world.
A voice will naturally change over the course of your life yes, but not necessarily drastically. Better technique or understanding of the voice will allow for development of tone etc, but age can cause changes too (like some have a tendency for their larynx to sit a little lower in older age)
Okay absolutely love this reaction! You explained the difference between falsetto and head voice perfectly. It really supports BTS unmistakeable talent and genius knowledge of singing skills. Brilliant!
I don’t know if you’ve been suggested this, but there’s a performance of Love Poem by IU done by three male contestants of a korean show called Kingdom (last week) that is so incredibly beautiful, with harmonies and everything. I’d love to hear your take on their voices and the ad-libs from the performance!

🤣🤣🤣 They keep distracting me, the purple one is my favorite 💜.
Oh man, I constantly want real harmonies! These voices blend so incredibly, they would really sound unreal! Yes! Really enjoy your breakdown! I’m subscribed.
If you want to hear some harmonizing from them, you should check out their song House of Cards!! :)
@@-18m Thanks!
@@helenscott8202 and I'll suggest truth untold ✨😌
@@aishwaryaahirrao You nailed it. That is so beautiful! Thanks!
@@helenscott8202 ohh no no.. amazing things are ment to be shared ✨& you are beautiful! 🥺 We Armys are family..love to learn and educate each other💜 I'm happy you loved it🥰🤗
Jimin voice so beautiful
Out of all the vocalists, I have to say V is my favorite. His tone is just my cup of tea. Not to say the others are bad , they all our good singers but V's voice resonates with me like a warm blanket. Thank you for analyzing everyone, and super spot on use of anatomy.
oh your eyes tell live is one of my favourites
so excited for this💜
I love watching all kinds of reaction videos, but vocal coach reactions are some of my favorites, because you can just see on their face when something really interesting happens. And they have the knowledge to explain what it going on and how the artist is accomplishing it!
Lovely reaction, and I agree - they should give us more harmonies.
Try Blue and Grey. There are some lovely harmonies in there.
Up up💜✨ MTV performance
May I just say, that you’re one of my most favourite reactors. I have genuinely learnt a lot by listening to your analysis and do love how appreciative you are of all the boys by praising them while explaining techniques they implement when singing and rapping. They’re all unique in their own way. Thank you so much for your reaction!!
Fact about this while Singing this song V was really sick which he endure really well. 👏🏻💯
Again, I appreciate all the knowledge you bring to the table. Thank you.
I'd highly highly recommend you listen to their Film Out song next. Its beautiful. Their japanese songs are top tier!
True
Your Eyes Tell is such a beautiful song, Jungkook also wrote it in pretty sure 🥺 the performance of this song gives me goosebumps, especially those beautiful harmonies
He did write it, but you can't really say that on the official page because solo stans will get insecure and say that we're forgetting to acknowledge the people behind the scenes, lol.
@@johnjungkook2721 ah oke taa :))
I have been wanting four-part harmonies for so long! Someone needs to make it happen.
Jimin in this song is so beautiful ❤and Jin too. They're all good actually. But for me, Jimin and Jin killed it.
"i'm not gonna pinch Jin's nose but if I did...". I laughed out loud, seriously this is why I keep watching your videos. You explain technical singing super well AND you make it fun.
Also I'm super jealous of your oxalis, it's gorgeous, mine isn't that pretty :o
For harmonies my favorite is their Spring Day performance for the RUclips Class of 2020 Graduation
You are so my favorite vocal reactor. I love the explanation and examples in your own voice. Thanks for reaching to this song. It's one of my favorite.
i dont understand anything.. but when i listen to them, i just mellllllt
Also I'm slowly going through your BTS playlist a lil bit at a time and I'm frankly super impressed at how fast you've learned their names, even if you had to go back and make corrections a couple times :P
Edit to add: ahhh I'm SO with you on wanting more harmonies.
A mi me encanta la voz de jin 💜 el es mi preferido 💕
Jimin 🤍 mr. Angelic voice, he is an angel 🤍
It's so satisfying when you demonstrate what they're doing because it always sounds so similar to themmm
Thank you so much for reacting to this. I love hearing the breakdown of each members vocal. I read somewhere that V was sick with stomach problems during this performance. I don't know if it's true or not but I think that makes his vocal more impressive if it is
I second the comments saying to react to BTS Butter at the BBMAs
It's true. He was sick that day.
I love your breakdowns. I feel like you really understand their voices better than other reactions I’ve seen, whereby they are uncertain about where the sound comes from.
House of Cards, jazz/swing type song the live is amazing. Tae is my favourite vocalist
als pls check out their Blue & Grey MTV Unplugged Performance :))
If you wanna know what to watch the vocal line I highly recommend The Truth Untold Live from their concert.
So cool to learn about falsetto vs head voice! Thanks for explaining! ✨
When you react to butter live. The 6 notes " Riff " you will be hearing in the middle of the song it's JUNGKOOK’S 💜 just a side note because everyone who react either to the MV or the live thought it was V's and thank you 💜
When you knew their voices really well you can immediately distinguish who's who. When I heard it the first time I know it was Jungkook's voice not V 😊
@@vviiivviii Same...i love them & their different vocal tones & textures that's why i know by heart who's singing.. same with the first time i heard butter 🥰 BTS are kings really..such a distinctive & beautiful vocal line & powerful, best rap line😌✨💜
And jimin's run on serendipity has been 5 years ago jimin did that run and it's so beautiful
If you want harmonies from the all four vocalists, you should listen to Louder Than Bombs... incredible
Thank you
I absolutely love how you explain the tones and where it comes from!
Check out Film Out Live if you want the harmonies 💜
Loved hearing all the physiology behind the voice!
One of the bestest🤔 song of them, everybody is perfect in it !!!
& the purple sorrel on your table is also a real hero of every video🌞
🇺🇦♥️🏴
if you wanna see more harmonies listen to the truth untold live!!! it’s so so good
I love all of the descriptive words you use to explain their tones and techniques. I can understand it better. It's easier for people like me who don't know about voices.
Beautiful and spot on reaction.
jin naileddd ittttttttttttrtrrrr
I love your breakdowns in your videos. I am amazed as I had absolutely no idea our upper chest muscles helped with singing!!! *mind blown*
I always enjoy your educational explanations. You have such a practical and accessible way of describing things. Thank you!
Agree, but someday ? There's no better time like NOW !
Thank you for this! I recommend you to hear “House Of Cards”, this song is just amazing and there are some harmonies as well ;) 💗
I want to know if professional singers voices can change over time? I have noticed that Jimin's and Taylor Swift's voices have changed over the years.
Actually its not that their voice changes , it's the technique that changes.
Omg hi a follow taytannie here😅💜
A voice will naturally change over the course of your life yes, but not necessarily drastically. Better technique or understanding of the voice will allow for development of tone etc, but age can cause changes too (like some have a tendency for their larynx to sit a little lower in older age)
@@SSTVocalCoach Interesting. Thank you for answering! I always wonder if its age or techniques.
@@SSTVocalCoach thank you so much. Now I understand. Enjoy your week. 😊
Okay absolutely love this reaction! You explained the difference between falsetto and head voice perfectly. It really supports BTS unmistakeable talent and genius knowledge of singing skills. Brilliant!
You might find the vocal line mixed harmony in their song The Truth Untold
This is such a brilliant reaction. So much attention to detail.
I second this! Eunkwang and BTOB ahhh (I'm Melody)!
Yes please react to this! It’s absolutely beautiful!
V's voice is just aother level...
Love watching you, bts, and learning while enjoying it!
Loved this! It’s one of my favorite song of theirs. You’ve recently watched V’s Tiny Desk Concert (and obv loved it). Would encourage you to watch this again! I don’t think we give V enough credit for how well he does in such a high register on this song!!
It's great to hear a vocal coach breakdown all 7...BTS are unique because there is something for everyone to enjoy and member brings their own uniqueness to the group.
I literally screamed when I saw you posted this. I've been waiting for a reaction to Your Eyes Tell since forever 😄😄
if you want harmonies you can hear it in their film out live performance. it's utterly beautiful
Thanks for reacting to this! I learned so much about voice technique, anatomy, and such! Love your channel!
For harmonies you can react to mtv unplugged to fix u and Blue and Gray ;)
i agree i love it when they do harmonies
Film Out would just bless your ears, I kid you not.😭❤️
Love your explanation about the difference between head voice and falsetto, very eye opening
