I agree with MJTB50 you need to hear their tiny desk concert, they sang with a live band. They do quite a few ad libs on the songs as well, it's great! You're right about the track in the back ground RM said on this version of the song you can hear him singing throughout the song, i'm not sure who else is in the background. However i don't believe that this is the same for all versions of the song, especially as there are so many versions now.

I am 55 and been a fan of Beatles for 45 years. I've never loved the Beatles the way I love BTS, no way near. I loved Beatles for their music but I love BTS as people. Yup young Army! I like many other singers' songs but I just leave it at that. With BTS, I absolutely enjoy their songs and dance, entertained by their quirky humour and charmed by their personalities.
@@WE__BTS I believe this friend was saying that they were an ultimate fan of the Beatles for so long solely for the music, but they are now ARMY because of BTS members' personalities. I felt it was implied that loving the music of BTS is what drew this friend in, in the first place. And I actually feel that these two things are a package deal. We wouldn't love BTS this much if they only had the music-related abilities they have. We all love them this much because of who they are. And the fact that this group can reach so many people just by existing as themselves and doing what they love is SO magical. Lol, they do use backing tracks. Some fans don't understand the difference between lip syncing and using a backing track and get defensive because they don't understand the terminology. *Yes* they use backing tracks when singing and dancing live.
That being said, if you react to their Tiny Desk performance, they actually do most of that harmonizing themselves, live, including JK's lovely high note towards the end.
There is/was the time Suga stopped singing for a few bars in the middle of a live performance and all you heard was the music. What? No lip synching? Lol BTS practices singing while on the treadmill to avoid that "breathing jumping sound." They practice so hard and it shows. Love you BTS 💜

also i like to add, they normally film this kind of performance 2 -3 times . so the audio and video might not match due to editing. but tiny desk was 100 % REAL live, my top fav performance :)
Tiny desk is not 100% Live, watch BangTanTV Channel. That is 100% Live Dynamite performance in one take. Btw i dont care how many takes they need, they just perfectionist so they always want to do more than 1 take for recorded performance, when they always do great anw.
@@laurynsuhendar8954 tiny desk is live and one take. Jimin skipped singing an important line in Spring Day. Think he did it on purpose to show that there is no pre-recorded singing for the difficult parts as per what many people have accused them of using.

I hope that you're not too put off by the small but sometimes loud percentage of BTS fandom who believe untrue Godly things about BTS like not using a backing track with harmonising vocals. I love bigging them up for their talents of which there are plenty without making them superhuman!

You really have to do this. Don't get bored that it's the same song. Tiny Desk performance is one for the ages and you won't regret it. Live instruments make this song pop even more than it already did, and their vocals are even more clear for someone like you who seems to notice everything, lol.

In my opinion, you can call yourself an ARMY as soon as you enjoy their music and respect the boys, which I can see you do, so there’s your answer ☺️ I hope you have a wonderful time listening to the boy’s music! Every single one of their voices are amazing, and they all have solo projects to can listen too if you want to focus on them individually 😊 the vocalists all have such different sounds and preferences to what they like to sing, which is very fun to learn, and yeah the rappers also take vocal lessons, and though they do focus more on rapping, they can also do simple vocals, and they definitely use those in certain songs for melodious rapping, if you keep checking them out, you’ll see! J Hope does it all the time, Suga does it a lot in his song Seesaw, and RM’s playlist called Mono is full of it

Haha CV stands for cover girl? hahaha and well... Yeahhh their skin is lovely... I can tell sometimes they have a lot of oil on their faces, probably due to hormones and makeup, Korean makeup has a lot of oil don't know why and you end up with a shiny nose and the rest of your skin glowing nicely but... A nose full of oil hahaha maybe with some powder haaha.. Anyway these boys look incredible without makeup, they re so cute

The way you giggle when Jimin comes on is how I giggle when Jimin comes on. Also V actually has a nickname in Korea because he is too perfect to be real. They call him CGV (computer graphics V) so it’s funny that you said the same thing. He does have some pretty skin though.

Oh dear. Their performance at AGT and Tiny Desk are better. This performance at VMA'S wasn't the best. You are one of the rare people who can detect their head voices. People are always assuming BTS sing in falsettos all the time because the notes are really high.

I'm really enjoying your reactions. Some of the vocal lines best performances are The Truth Untold, House of cards, and crystal snow. I really enjoy seeing them all together but seeing the vocal and rap lines separately lets each member shine in their forte.

They actually have a very vast discography. They have explored a lot of different genres! They also do really fast paced choreographies while singing live! The vocalists and the rappers all have their solo tracks too which you can check out if you want!
Jimin is so perfect in every way and still so down to earth. Fun fact:- he didn't get any training before debut and didn't know anything about singing. Their vocal teacher said she only taught the other three members for 2-3 years. And his voice is so good. It's best to me.💓
@@kooquette2 he got trained for k-pop version of hip hop, not for vocals. There is an interview of the vocal teacher herself saying that he didn't get any training. He definitely passed the test because of his gifted voice. Also if you didn't know many koreans (and Asians) genetically are able to sing quite well+Jimin was gifted that is why he was chosen as lead vocalist without any training. It has been mentioned in their content that Jimin sang for the first time directly during the recording of their first song. And by the way, he trained for about 6 months only, not one year. Everything I say is verified. ✌🏻

Emilie Kookie! Hi! There! Actually Mari Khan is mostly correct & you are as well. Jimin has started as BH trainee on May, 2012. So you are correct that Jimin was trained for 1 year. But Mari Khan is correct as well because he is actually accepted as a debut member of BTS about 5-6 months before the debut, it means his trainee days were over(6 months) & he became debut member of BTS. That is why a lot of Kpop media said Jimin has been trained(as a trainee) only 6 months. Also Jimin has never received vocal training until 3 months before their debut & his first vocal training was with BTS’s debut song No more dream’, so it is more like practice of their debut song rather then simple vocal training. At one of the earlier interviews, Jimin has briefly mentioned that he was always so envious of other BTS members & trainees who has received all those vocal training. Do you guys know BH kept pushing Jimin to learned rapping & wanted him to become another rapper in BTS? Until now, I still do not understand why BigHit didn’t give Jimin any vocal training from beginning. If they were really serious about making him as one of BTS member, why didn’t they give him some vocal training? Despite all these difficulties & their crazy schedules, our Jimin still has worked so hard & develop such a unique & beautiful vocal tones & colors & mastered the great vocal skills as well. And he is still working hard right now because he said nowadays on his free times which cause by this pandemic, he is getting some vocal training & he seems more confident & very happy about it. I would love to hear your thoughts on Jimin’s latest solo Filter, which has a Latino vibe and is doing exceptionally well on worldwide stream and sales charts. His other solos ‘Serendipity’ and ‘Lie’ are masterpieces so please check out the stage performances for these too. Many rookie idols cover Jimin’s songs because not only is the music beautiful but the choreography is astounding too. I am yet to see an idol give justice to these songs like Jimin has.

I really love your reaction, you're genuine and it shows. About the backing track, we all know they have it but it's usually lower than their live vocals. We also know that some people record live sounding tracks to lipsync to in live performances which BTS doesn't do or at least that's the case in most of their performances anyway. But what they usually do is they have backing track in parts of the song, like at the start of a line or in a part where they do harder choreography to help them catch their breathe and assist their singing. This is very noticeable in their concerts (not the recorded ones coz they amp up the track on those, but for the attendees of their concerts) you can clearly hear the difference in volume when they sing live and where there is a backtrack. There are some really great performances you can check out for them that almost has no backtrack at all like "Armypedia: no more dream, just one day & i like it" and also their most recent "NPR Tiny Desk Concert" where they have a live band. They don't dance in those so they can let go completely of any backing vocals.

Love your honesty Sam and I hope you'll remain honest cos you will be bombarded by stans of other vocalists who are jealous of Jimin. They may pressure you to praise their faves so I hope you are strong enough to withstand these pressures. I hope you stay true to yourself and not fake react just to gain views. I can't stand fake reactors and there have been many who raved about Jimin's voice when they first discover BTS but soon start to fake praise other members cos they were bullied to do so.

I recommend you Epiphany by Jin it's a really beautiful solo song, for the vocal line there is the truth untold or house of cards and actually these songs doesn't really have this happy vibe well I'm gonna stop because they have way too many great songs (sorry for my English I'm french)

Yes, our rappers, Suga (Yoongi), RM (Namjoon) and J-Hope (Hoseok) all have wonderful vocals. They may not be able to reach high notes like the vocalists of the group but they can still sing very well indeed. As you noticed, they all have unique voices and styles that they bring to the group performances. Look forward to more of your BTS reaction.

Backing vocals are usually used in case their would be mishaps during the live performance. It's nothing to be defensive about, all dancing KPop groups do use it for that reason. It's not meant for lip synching.
I highly highly recommend their Tiny Desk performance. They have a live band and no backing track with vocal layers they sing on top of except for one time during a chorus. They also harmonize with each other beautifully. I am sure you'll enjoy it a lot. And don't worry - ARMY know that they use a backing track when they dance during tv performances. ;) What BTS does different to many other artists though is, that their mics are ALWAYS ON and they song ON TOP of the track. What BTS doesn't do is use these kinds of backing tracks during unplugged performances and their concerts on tour - they use different mixes for them and their concert backing tracks don't have vocal layers to "sing along to" but only chanting and adlips in the backround. Seriously their concerts are no joke - no wonder they are always sold out.

I appreciate you explaining the live vocal performance track. it took me a while to understand how that worked because sometimes it sounded like their live voice but their mouth wasn't moving especially during live concert footage where I could tell they were singing live but sometimes the end of phrases or a very high song you wouldn't sea their mouths move. finally I came to understand that that track was something that they used one when a song was especially taxing on breath or on their vocals and they were doing something where the ability to hit those notes well or finish the phrase well wasn't necessarily possible. And truthfully I'd much rather have that well done vocal track for a live performance in the back and get the great choreography or have them be able to tour so non-stop and still do those more challenging songs. This isn't like going to watch just a vocalist these are guys who are dancing to a good 30% of their songs with hard choreography. Dynamite is one of their easiest choreographies. They have a lot of hip-hop songs and other songs that have much more difficult choreography and they are known for their fantastic dance performances and live vocals. Does it mean I don't use this live track that you've been explaining that helps them pull off both and is made specifically to support them during the challenges at least live performances while still giving their audience the best performance.
Jungkook vocal king 💜 yes he was the first one. Hes so amazing, stable voice. King of adlips and harmonizing. Also the main vocalist. Pls do the tiny desk preformance, you can hear them so well.
Thank you for the reaction! And especially for explaining how backing vocals work in live performances. even a lot of fans often don't understand or refuse to understand how and why these are used. I think it comes a lot from the habit of kpop shows to actually not allow the artists to sing live. Often these weekly shows but also year end award shows have the artists record multiple runs of their performance and then they pick out the best recordings and put these together. So when they go live live on stage these artists don't sing. They either let the actual studio audio of the song play and have them playback/lip sync over them (this happens a lot with newer groups) or they have them playback over a pre-recorded track. There are very few artists that do actually sing live during these shows, including artists like BTS and Mamamoo. This is unfortunately a practice that is very normal in this industry, but at the same time is looked down upon by for example people who are used to the Western music industry where playbacking is a no-no. So fans get super defensive over this (you should try to comment on any random kpop group's performance that they're playbacking an you'll be skinned alive) but often they mistake backing vocals with a pre-recorded track. So fans might say BTS doesn't do backing vocals, which like you pointed out is just not true. On top of that non-fans often ask if BTS lipsync because live they sound so much like the studio versions of their songs. There is a lot of making fun of this going on whenever BTS perform somewhere that is not in Korea, so a lot of fans also immedietly go into defence mode because of that. Btw, hope you check out BTS' Tiny Desk performance! It has Dynamite, but also songs you haven't heard yet :)

I 100% want to see you react to Euphoria, Serendipity, Singularity, and Epiphany. Each one is a solo by each of the the 4 vocalists of BTS..it gives an exceptional look/example of each unique vocal style they have. But keep in mind; all four can literally sing ANYTHING!

Yup young Army! I like many other singers' songs but I just leave it at that. With BTS, I absolutely enjoy their songs and dance, entertained by their quirky humour and charmed by their personalities.

I felt it was implied that loving the music of BTS is what drew this friend in, in the first place. And I actually feel that these two things are a package deal. We wouldn't love BTS this much if they only had the music-related abilities they have. We all love them this much because of who they are. And the fact that this group can reach so many people just by existing as themselves and doing what they love is SO magical. Lol, they do use backing tracks. Some fans don't understand the difference between lip syncing and using a backing track and get defensive because they don't understand the terminology. *Yes* they use backing tracks when singing and dancing live.
That being said, if you react to their Tiny Desk performance, they actually do most of that harmonizing themselves, live, including JK's lovely high note towards the end.

In my opinion, you can call yourself an ARMY as soon as you enjoy their music and respect the boys, which I can see you do, so there’s your answer ☺️ I hope you have a wonderful time listening to the boy’s music! Every single one of their voices are amazing, and they all have solo projects to can listen too if you want to focus on them individually 😊 the vocalists all have such different sounds and preferences to what they like to sing, which is very fun to learn, and yeah the rappers also take vocal lessons, and though they do focus more on rapping, they can also do simple vocals, and they definitely use those in certain songs for melodious rapping, if you keep checking them out, you’ll see! J Hope does it all the time, Suga does it a lot in his song Seesaw, and RM’s playlist called Mono is full of it

I can tell sometimes they have a lot of oil on their faces, probably due to hormones and makeup, Korean makeup has a lot of oil don't know why and you end up with a shiny nose and the rest of your skin glowing nicely but... Oh dear. Their performance at AGT and Tiny Desk are better. This performance at VMA'S wasn't the best. You are one of the rare people who can detect their head voices. People are always assuming BTS sing in falsettos all the time because the notes are really high.

They actually have a very vast discography. They have explored a lot of different genres! They also do really fast paced choreographies while singing live! The vocalists and the rappers all have their solo tracks too which you can check out if you want!
Jimin is so perfect in every way and still so down to earth. Fun fact:- he didn't get any training before debut and didn't know anything about singing. Their vocal teacher said she only taught the other three members for 2-3 years. And his voice is so good. It's best to me.💓
jimin actually trained for a year, you cant debut without passing several exams such as vocal stability :)
@@kooquette2 he got trained for k-pop version of hip hop, not for vocals. There is an interview of the vocal teacher herself saying that he didn't get any training. He definitely passed the test because of his gifted voice. Also if you didn't know many koreans (and Asians) genetically are able to sing quite well+Jimin was gifted that is why he was chosen as lead vocalist without any training. It has been mentioned in their content that Jimin sang for the first time directly during the recording of their first song. And by the way, he trained for about 6 months only, not one year. Everything I say is verified. ✌🏻

Emilie Kookie! Hi! There! Actually Mari Khan is mostly correct & you are as well. Jimin has started as BH trainee on May, 2012. So you are correct that Jimin was trained for 1 year.
But Mari Khan is correct as well because he is actually accepted as a debut member of BTS about 5-6 months before the debut, it means his trainee days were over(6 months) & he became debut member of BTS. That is why a lot of Kpop media said Jimin has been trained(as a trainee) only 6 months.
Also Jimin has never received vocal training until 3 months before their debut & his first vocal training was with BTS’s debut song No more dream’, so it is more like practice of their debut song rather then simple vocal training. At one of the earlier interviews, Jimin has briefly mentioned that he was always so envious of other BTS members & trainees who has received all those vocal training. Do you guys know BH kept pushing Jimin to learned rapping & wanted him to become another rapper in BTS?
Until now, I still do not understand why BigHit didn’t give Jimin any vocal training from beginning. If they were really serious about making him as one of BTS member, why didn’t they give him some vocal training?
Despite all these difficulties & their crazy schedules, our Jimin still has worked so hard & develop such a unique & beautiful vocal tones & colors & mastered the great vocal skills as well. And he is still working hard right now because he said nowadays on his free times which cause by this pandemic, he is getting some vocal training & he seems more confident & very happy about it. And Jimin’s vocal sounds better & better!

His other solos ‘Serendipity’ and ‘Lie’ are masterpieces so please check out the stage performances for these too. Many rookie idols cover Jimin’s songs because not only is the music beautiful but the choreography is astounding too. I am yet to see an idol give justice to these songs like Jimin has.

I really love your reaction, you're genuine and it shows. About the backing track, we all know they have it but it's usually lower than their live vocals. We also know that some people record live sounding tracks to lipsync to in live performances which BTS doesn't do or at least that's the case in most of their performances anyway. But what they usually do is they have backing track in parts of the song, like at the start of a line or in a part where they do harder choreography to help them catch their breathe and assist their singing.
This is very noticeable in their concerts (not the recorded ones coz they amp up the track on those, but for the attendees of their concerts) you can clearly hear the difference in volume when they sing live and where there is a backtrack.
There are some really great performances you can check out for them that almost has no backtrack at all like "Armypedia: no more dream, just one day & i like it" and also their most recent "NPR Tiny Desk Concert" where they have a live band. They don't dance in those so they can let go completely of any backing vocals.

Yes, our rappers, Suga (Yoongi), RM (Namjoon) and J-Hope (Hoseok) all have wonderful vocals. They may not be able to reach high notes like the vocalists of the group but they can still sing very well indeed. As you noticed, they all have unique voices and styles that they bring to the group performances.

Finally somebody with a sensible, accurate explanation of what a backing track is and what it's for and how it's made.
Backing vocals are usually used in case their would be mishaps during the live performance. It's nothing to be defensive about, all dancing KPop groups do use it for that reason. It's not meant for lip synching.

I highly highly recommend their Tiny Desk performance. They have a live band and no backing track with vocal layers they sing on top of except for one time during a chorus. They also harmonize with each other beautifully. I am sure you'll enjoy it a lot.
And don't worry - ARMY know that they use a backing track when they dance during tv performances. ;)
What BTS does different to many other artists though is, that their mics are ALWAYS ON and they song ON TOP of the track.
What BTS doesn't do is use these kinds of backing tracks during unplugged performances and their concerts on tour - they use different mixes for them and their concert backing tracks don't have vocal layers to "sing along to" but only chanting and adlips in the backround.
Seriously their concerts are no joke - no wonder they are always sold out.

Even if they jump while singing they still have good voice especially Jungkook his stable vocals all the time amazes everyone don’t know how he does that 👌🏼👍🏼

I appreciate you explaining the live vocal performance track. it took me a while to understand how that worked because sometimes it sounded like their live voice but their mouth wasn't moving especially during live concert footage where I could tell they were singing live but sometimes the end of phrases or a very high song you wouldn't sea their mouths move. finally I came to understand that that track was something that they used one when a song was especially taxing on breath or on their vocals and they were doing something where the ability to hit those notes well or finish the phrase well wasn't necessarily possible. And truthfully I'd much rather have that well done vocal track for a live performance in the back and get the great choreography or have them be able to tour so non-stop and still do those more challenging songs. This isn't like going to watch just a vocalist these are guys who are dancing to a good 30% of their songs with hard choreography. Dynamite is one of their easiest choreographies. They have a lot of hip-hop songs and other songs that have much more difficult choreography and they are known for their fantastic dance performances and live vocals. Does it mean I don't use this live track that you've been explaining that helps them pull off both and is made specifically to support them during the challenges at least live performances while still giving their audience the best performance.
Jungkook vocal king 💜 yes he was the first one. Hes so amazing, stable voice. King of adlips and harmonizing. Also the main vocalist. Pls do the tiny desk preformance, you can hear them so well.
Thank you for the reaction! And especially for explaining how backing vocals work in live performances. even a lot of fans often don't understand or refuse to understand how and why these are used. I think it comes a lot from the habit of kpop shows to actually not allow the artists to sing live. Often these weekly shows but also year end award shows have the artists record multiple runs of their performance and then they pick out the best recordings and put these together. So when they go live live on stage these artists don't sing. They either let the actual studio audio of the song play and have them playback/lip sync over them (this happens a lot with newer groups) or they have them playback over a pre-recorded track. There are very few artists that do actually sing live during these shows, including artists like BTS and Mamamoo. This is unfortunately a practice that is very normal in this industry, but at the same time is looked down upon by for example people who are used to the Western music industry where playbacking is a no-no. So fans get super defensive over this (you should try to comment on any random kpop group's performance that they're playbacking an you'll be skinned alive) but often they mistake backing vocals with a pre-recorded track. So fans might say BTS doesn't do backing vocals, which like you pointed out is just not true.
On top of that non-fans often ask if BTS lipsync because live they sound so much like the studio versions of their songs. There is a lot of making fun of this going on whenever BTS perform somewhere that is not in Korea, so a lot of fans also immedietly go into defence mode because of that.

I 100% want to see you react to Euphoria, Serendipity, Singularity, and Epiphany. Each one is a solo by each of the the 4 vocalists of BTS..it gives an exceptional look/example of each unique vocal style they have. But keep in mind; all four can literally sing ANYTHING!
