    So where was the Morikawa move?? Was that it right at the end? I heard Michelson and Rahm mentioned but Collin ?

    I would be very happy with a 90mph 8iron speed (1mph higher than the PGA Tour average)😅

    *Dr. Scott seems to have a strong grasp of the statistical aspect of the topic, but I was surprised by the lack of clarity in their explanation and hypothesis. While they were focused on the feet and shifting, they neglected to offer any guidance on how to achieve this effectively, leaving me with many unanswered questions.*

    Interesting vid thank you, for me it feels like it helps to send my body mass left when i take the club away and lock my right leg in place.

    The super slow backswing is something I see a lot in Asian players, my College Golf teammate had a very slow backswing then quick from the top, he actually started playing better when he sped up his back swing. Tour Tempo has proven that bad 3 to 1 time ratio of backswing to impact is best, with most of the best players @ 27/9 frames a second or faster many Great players at 21/7. For most amateurs they need to speed up their backswing.

    I am of the view that Morikawa will hurt his back if he keeps swinging the way he does. He does not turn his hips on the back swing. The dangerous x factor! That did Jason day in.

    • @oldprogolf7292
      @oldprogolf7292 Год назад

      He has already had back trouble and adjusted his swing apparently. Restricting the hip turn on the bs and then turning the hips forcefully on the ds is asking for trouble. Ask Will Zalatoris.

      Look for pliometric training and apply it to the muscles that are relevant to golf, so mostly quads and glutes, core needs training, not necessarily pliometric though.

    • @oldprogolf7292
      @oldprogolf7292 Год назад +2

      Don't worry, I don't understand either and I am a retired teaching pro. Isaac Newton wouldn't understand. Ground force, forward shaft lean, compression, covering the ball, holding lag, these are all myths based on very poor understanding of physics.

    • @mattdaniels6430
      @mattdaniels6430 Год назад

      @@oldprogolf7292 ^^ Oh come on. That isn't a very productive mindset. People are different, some resonate with feelings, some with technicalities, some need to see things, some need to repeat it, some need to understand fully to apply. Most of the stuff that is available these days wasn't available back in the day and of course, teachers were still able to teach people the game. Shows you doesn't necessarily need those new terms but it that in turn isn't proof that the stuff is hurtful. All this weightshifting stuff has been happening at golfers 30 years ago just like it is today, but today technology can show it - which will help some people more than others. I had a teacher once who asked me just to try to do what he was saying - didn't work with me at all - I didn't know what he was trying to achieve or show and therefor everything went to sh**.
