In Yesterday’s round, I got some weird stairs in my foursome as I swung my club back and forth as I stood over the ball. But as soon as they heard my solid contact and saw my ball fly to the target I heard the “nice shot”. I’m hitting the ball better than I’ve ever hit it in my life. I started playing golf in 1972, but played less than 10 rounds of golf until I retired in 2017. I’m playing two times a week all year round but haven’t seen much improvement until watching your RUclips videos and implementing them in my game. I’ve been a 20-25+ handicapper for four years. I’m not focused on outcomes, just playing each shot and trying to have fun instead of beating myself up.
Great video Shawn! Two things... 1. How do you not have a million subs? 2. At 16:50 you touch on the leg action and turning. I think this is critical. Maybe a video with Skully would be helpful, but I think the link between leg/lower body action and sternum stability is the key to the golf swing. This has been my focus of late and have seen good progress. Thoughts? Thanks again for all of your great videos!
Yes, see “lower body in the backswing shawn clement” an oldie but goodie; and for the rest of it, you need to go to my premium channel where I have a slew of videos and video series that are too far advanced for what golfers are searching for here on youtube; series like “kinetic chain series” which we have a 2.0 started on now and the “throwing series” the “goldie locks series” the “pre-motor cortex series” and the “target confirmation series” just to name a few!
Is such a wonderful sharing by Pro S.C, mind restrictions by automatically freeze body movements ...Always happened. I deeply rethought of my mistake how I injuries badly with pain carried my upper shoulder during 2 years back of practice swings daily. Absolutely agreed, free body movement's may come benefit conjunction of best stability and power for an object target that's how the way work perfectly of result indeed. "Golf is a own game" ....That's true indeed. We unable to do exactly what other did.
Yeah man! Keep on keeping on! When you are ready, get with our premium channel at www.wisdomingolfpremium.com for just $9.95 per month! (this is where you will find my life’s work!)
Tks for this explanation of backswing especially part where lead knee points at or behind ball. I was coached to keep knee pointed straight out to area in front of ball...that restricts hip and about everything else leading to pain.
By the way since I have been watching your videos I have shot my best score ever come out of the nineties shot a 87 best score ever thanks and keep on teaching
Right on Winton! If you want to take a deeper dive, you will find my life’s work at www.wisdomingolfpremium.com where you will find a more organized version of the content with the videos having at least 2 camera angles that have been professionally edited with high end cameras, drones and Go-pro cams. (drones and go pros are now a full time part of the equation as those views are really adding an incredible dimension to what we do; and all this at just $9.95 per month!
Wow Shawn, after just one practice range session using the initial heave analogy on the takeaway, my swing just feels so natural and free in starting my swing. I've also experimented on using the initial heave to start my takeaway at a more slightly shallow angle - I've found that to be much more natural to do than to be high and trying to shallow on the down swing, is there anything wrong in doing so? I'm just now starting to get use to the stronger grip as I'm finding the strong grip does allow for a much more natural throw-the-club motion. I'm loving this change in my swing motion so much - it's just so natural in feeling and flow!!
Fantastic! And yes, takeaway wide and low to the ground without strain or manipulation; just like you are describing is much more efficient with your anatomy. Wide will get high naturally in the backswing…our premium channel has all the answers at www.wisdomingolfpremium.com at just $9.95 per month for my life’s work! Keep enjoying!
I started using perpetual motion (3 times forward and backwards) as my pre shot drill and results were excellent! However, when the club catches the turf - particularly on a wet day - I need to stop, clean the club and it creates almost a complete reset of the flow. Do you think using perpetual motion but not actually making contact with the ground would be a good or bad pre-shot routine? Any further thoughts on using this as a pre-shot?
Hello Shawn. After 2 months of good work and improvement on your swing principals I managed to take off 5 shots from my handicap but I’ve suddenly started shanking lots of shots. I’m doing all of the ‘right’ things and drills but dont seem to be able to fix the issue. Can you help please?
You want that stance to match the shot with the club you have; start with “predict perfect contact and direction shawn clement” which will get your set up dialled in.
QUESTION: After just watching your videos about having stable footwork which appears as almost keeping the frwd foot "planted" in the swing, this here video seems to void that idea. How can this be rectified please? BTW Being a few years new to golf I began having better success only after applying your "Daisy Stem" into my swing action so THANK YOU ALL at Wisdom for helping me get through the 4 year grind of frustrating trial and error.
Hey P Lo! Either or is good, depends on the person and how mobile they are and how they better activate their kinetic chain in the swing. Some need to allow the lead heel off the ground for better balance and some get better activation keeping the lead heel on the ground like Savy. Both are good!
I must be defective . Just as Rory that lead arm is bent thru impact. ;) I have been working very hard and focused so much on my lower body pivot that I forgot that I have two arms and hands. When you mentioned throwing the club down the fairway with the lower body it was like you have been reading my mind. I usually carry three golf gloves in my bag and after hitting balls all are soaked. Hey yinz must be spying on me and reading my mind. Don't stop I'm loving the results. Myrtle beach here I come. :) :) Thank yinz for the great videos.
This is what I was looking for in my driver. I’m hitting my 4iron 200-215 but my driver I couldn’t feel barely goes past my 4iron. I can’t wait to practice today! Btw I sweat alot can’t wait to try the glove. Makes me shank shots when it gets slippery plus I go through gloves like paper lol You guys rock!!
Shawn i have a question. I have been following your channel for long now and seen much improvement, im getting to a stage where i can shape beautiful shots off the T with my 3 and 5w, however i cant seem to replicate it when i pick up my driver, its just inconsistant and keeps a slight fade, if i draw i over draw. Why cant i replicate what i do with my woods. Your lessons have a way of making it simple and natural, a lot of lessons out there over complicate it and seems to make my game worse. Keep up the awesome lessons.
Yeah man! Simple, go to my video on “how to hit the driver for accuracy shawn clement” and you will find your way instantly as it is the same set up as the fairway woods! Then you have your bullet proof driver and use my other method on driver for when things are more open and you want the extra 15 yards!
Here is the focus sequence you need to be consistent with: 1-flight plan was established on all shots? 2-IP was chosen (intermediate point) 3-predictions were made and you did not take for granted (see how to put the ball in the way of your swing shawn clement and on our premium channel it’s “predict contact” and “the goldie locks series” 4-pre-motor cortex was engaged properly by re-calling the feel you were going to use to deliver with EASE and velocity in your throw (this advanced stuff is way too out there for what everyone is searching on youtube and you need to go to our premium channel at www.wisdomingolfpremium.com and see “pre-motor cortex series”) 5-you can confirm you stayed with it because you felt the swing stretch you in the direction you wanted to start the ball (premium channel is “target confirmation series” and your strain level in the shot was 3 out of 10
Hi Shawn, I have been struggling with hitting behind the ball, but I stay centered, keep my spine angle and release through the ball, however my swing path is severely in to out. Can this be the reason for bottoming out too early? And would a more open stance neutralize the swing path and stop the heavy shots? Thanks
This is why you need to feel the weight of the ARMS AND CLUB as a unit-the ACU See “wait for the weight shawn clement” and “how to feel the weight in your swing shawn clement”
work on feeling the weight of the arms and the club as shawn said, and then go get fit for some irons! maybe yours are too light for you? graphite and steel shafts come in all sorts of weights nowadays.

This is great. Would love to see a video on the 40-60 yard wedge shots. Swing great when it’s a full swing but how to adjust on short shots!
See “40 to 60 yard shot shawn clement” 😀👍

@@golflessons Thanks Shawn.Ive watched most but will review and inwardly digest again.
Shawn you have an open stance...is that for all clubs? Also does that help with the rotation?
You want that stance to match the shot with the club you have; start with “predict perfect contact and direction shawn clement” which will get your set up dialled in.

@@golflessons Thanks shawn, will do so.
I have a question if you have not been fitted and your clubs are 2" shorter how does that affect your swing
If they are fit for you, it would not affect your (our swing) in any way, shape or form!
Shawn how come I can hit 5 good ones in a row then all of a sudden hit 3 bad how can I be more consistant
Here is the focus sequence you need to be consistent with:

3-predictions were made and you did not take for granted (see how to put the ball in the way of your swing shawn clement and on our premium channel it’s “predict contact” and “the goldie locks series”

5-you can confirm you stayed with it because you felt the swing stretch you in the direction you wanted to start the ball (premium channel is “target confirmation series” and your strain level in the shot was 3 out of 10

Yes, easily! See “how to match backswing to target shawn clement” and “perpetual motion drill shawn clement”
Its so easy when you only have to throw the golf club, why do we have to hit the ball! LOL
👍
It's the old heave ho and it works.
You bet!! 👍👌👊💪😎
This is not easy to do as golf clubs are so light particularly graphite shafts and difficult to feel them- perhaps club heads should be heavier?

@@golflessons I'm just trolling a little. I kind of agree with you. Either way I am 5 years away from having no choice but to swing like that. 😬
C’mon, hit the ball with the 6 pounder. Show the over the top swing vs. the proper swing to make your point.
