Maybe we're not meant to last forever
maybe we're doing it wrong
after all there's always something better,
so just move along
Easy to enjoy what we are given
easier still to mess up
Little do we know what we'll be living
if we never stop
and you say that you love me so much that you'd give it all up
if it meant you could keep your
graying and degrading, imperfect painting
you hung it up said just don't look at it anymore
Feed yourself by looking in the window,
selling your spirit for free
Why would you trust somebody you don't know
if you won't trust me
But how, if you love me so much, wouldn't you bear to let yourself be what you want
Is it so hard to see that shine on your cheek is mine
Don't you mean it what you say to me
