Wanted to let you know that you and Joe + Syd and Macky inspired me to race the 25 hours in Frog Hollow a few weeks ago. I had an amazing time and did better than I'd hoped (2nd solo singlespeed!!!!); I wouldn't have put myself out there without yall's encouragement and inspiration. I hope you can find the right goals and people that make your riding filled with joy because your night laps from that race were the yardstick of stoke I measured myself against. Give yourself plenty of grace, you 100% deserve it.

Great channel! Like you, I am _much_ faster on the downhills than my uphill counterparts... Racers were super attitudy on day 2. People had pent up frustration or something from day1's shorter race. One lady broke her leg, partly due to the pressure she was feeling on the descents (and not letting folks pass). Mike gave everyone much needed lecture at the racer's meeting. The race got _SOOO_ much better on day 3, everyone chilled out and let you pass. I hope you race it again and hang in there for the first coupla stages while everyone comes up to speed that this isn't a road race or LV100. Stages 3, 5 and 6 are the bomb. Great watching you progress!

No shame in having limits. But they are moveable. Not failure, just definition. You put in a good effort. Having lived in Breckenridge, I know how tough it is to deal with the altitude, you did a marvelous job. Better to recognize you limits and not injure yourself. Back in the day, I was with my trainer and put in a hard ride and did pretty well. At the end I said "Teddy, I put it all on the ground!" He said "did ya puke" No meant I hadn't as far as he was concerned. I rode hard in subsequent races and, no, I never puked! 🙃 Good onya!

I agree with the comments about people who don't yield to the faster rider. On the guy hitting the brakes on the little rise, way back in the 80's and 90's doing that in a race at the bottom of a short punchy climb was a tactic to make the conga line following behind stall, while you get a gap on them as you ride away on clear trail.

I am appalled at the footage from this race from you and others: for a race with one rule (don't be a jerk) I've never seen so many riders refusing to yield to faster riders! I love riding in Breck as I used to live there....but the footage from this race (from you and others) kills any desire to do the Breck Epic. The rider refusing to yield as you entered one of the flowiest sections of turns in Colorado killed the dream....not to mention Mr "Don't Be a Dick" deserves the Chode of the day award.
