- Rob had been taking about Flagstaff for months now and I must admit, I was pretty excited to hit it!
When the summer heat was bearing down on Phoenix, Rob would load his bike up in the Maverick and head up there to rip.
The place is rad and it seems to be in great part due to the local community and flagstaffbiking.org.
Yeah, it was a little cold, but the new Voler gear kept me plenty warm and the La Sal was the perfect bike!
One of the best videos to date. The story of the trails, Rob, and the views and trail
Good to see the “Drew Crew” got to take a trip together. Flagstaff is one of my favorite places in the country. That trail looks amazing but at my age, I would want to do it before the snow arrived. Hope y’all had a great time!
It was a blast man! I'd certainly prefer to do it without the snow, but it was still pretty cool.
Great video, and some really solid technical Riding from Rob. Love the brother videos.
More Drew brothers riding coming soon!
So much good riding weather here in Flagstaff and you hit the one time where there is snow on the ground. :) Nice video Rich. I haven't ridden Meteorite yet, but now I really want to. It looked epic.
You must ride it! So well built and allows you to slowly turn up the speed each run. I’m really looking forward to getting back out there early next summer and doing some laps on it.
That was one of my favorite trails I rode this year. Epic.
Can’t wait to get back!
Oh man super nice awesome trail ! Constant action and you guys did a super job tackling it ! ( really liked your alternate lines ) good job !
Meteoride… looks epic. That’s my kind of jam!
Hot bagels and deli is one of the best places to have breakfast!
That place rules! Can’t wait to go back!
Rob is a great follow cam leader! Looking good up front! 😮💨
He’s okay I guess 😉
I like the techy, chunky, flowy chunder. I wish I lived closer to flagstaff.
Lost me with the climb. Got me back with the downhill. Kept me with the burger. 🤣 Rob gives me something to aspire to when I reach his age. In nine months.
The climb wasn’t bad since it was sustained forever basically 😉. The rest of it was awesome!!
15:04 my favorite feature! So rad!
LEGIT!
That's called the dragon's back!
@@joehazel2291 Perfect name!!
That subtle fart at 8:46 😂
Looks like he’d be a great trail for my electric mountain bike.
Indeed! I think we will bring them on the next visit.
Meteoride is a great trail!
I've been there!! Nice guys!
Thank you!
Im curious as well about the wheel cradles that are attached to the headach rack, who makes those?
Nice vid! 2019 Museum Fire is the one that toasted the steep tech lines and the post-covid 2022 toilet-paper Pipeline Fire destroyed Hot Shots trail. Two more directional MTB trails planned for hopefully 2025, the first an adoption/reroute of Private Reserve and the other a new trail in the same zone.
Like the MTB mount setup. What are your thoughts on the maverick being a good MTB rig?
Mnt Elden mnever dissapoints. From a Ex AZ guy I do miss the stuff BUT in just a few short weeks I get to move to Western (ish) North Carolina.... I heard they might have some "good" trails out there as well :)
That place is rad!! Enjoy the new spot!
Was that new ENVE wheel?
Rob's wife does not look very happy to be in the back seat, on camera or going riding..
Haha! She’s actually into the riding. However, she doesn’t prefer to be on camera
For everyone else please don’t climb up Shultz trail. It’s a great descent and sucks when people are riding up it stopping you for their IMBA “right of way”. The road is right next to it and a nice gravel climb to stay out of people’s way coming down singletrack.
that's silly. Schultz is an arterial trail to get further out into the trail network. It's not a DH and is popular with hikers and runners.
