I’m glad yall gave Cube his props on that verse! The kicker is giving MC Ren his flowers!! A lot of Ppl don’t know nothing bout Ren and it’s a crying shame! MC Ren needs to be celebrated!!! ✊🏾💯
Y'all hit that head of da nail precisely again! The way that Marvin Gaye was used, that's a track you can listen to without the vocals, the vocals was just baking soda that made that thing solid! I love some of the remixes that had that heavy metal in it to!
Loving these episodes. Looking forward to seeing y'all review/breakdown many more classics in the future. Everything from Illmatic, Ready To Die and 36 Chambers to more from Outkast, and many more. Keep doing your thing!
They revamped that concept 3 times!! DOC did it originally, 50 Cent second on In Da Club and Dre himself on the I Need A Doctor song with Eminem and Skylar Grey! Three times!! 😂✊🏾💯
strictly underground funk and you pop mfs can't deal with it, no r&b btch cause I still kick it for my niggas down on Lanchester but only gangsta so f all em pranksters
One of the best, ever. Gratitude for sharing. I was doing my homework to this album 2 days ago. Redman sampled The D.O.C.'s "The D.O.C. & the Doctor" "Like a whirlwind pyramid word to D-O-C n**** the lyrics here terrestrials in the chest where the spirit live"- Jay Elect
The Mind Blowin’ Remix is still my favorite rap song of all time. That’s the song that made me buy the album, and I was kinda disappointed because the album version is different. I didn’t know the song I heard was a remix. But when I heard the album it was all good! It’s a top ten album for me.
@@Omowalemayasa You're talking 1989 where Dallas likely didn't have its own rap identity just yet. Dre produced the whole album but DOC I'm assuming was still new to the west coast. He still reps for Dallas to this day so can the west REALLY claim him and this album?
It’s definitely a west coast album. I’m a lifelong Texan and was 13 when this album dropped. The DOC is our guy but in his own lyrics he said he accepted the job of making LA well respected. He made a few references to the south on the album if you can pick them out but he was definitely repping for Cali.

DOC is from Dallas so it a southernish album or is it a W for the west coast?🤔
West coast. Dallas rap sounds nothing like D.O.C.

Loving the reviews and commentary between the three of you. Please review me against the world and Dogg food albums.
