Probably the Ghost sequel. Soul Reaver would have topped it if A, it wasn't yet another console exclusive and B, if they had done a Legacy of Kain sequel too. This was an Embracer project and their interest after acquiring it is the only reason it got made. Unfortunately, Playstation only could limit the sales enough that they don't bother with Legacy eventually and kill chances of a remake/IP revival.
literally gasped when i heard the lunar theme. Lunar was first game I played on the PS1 from a console lent to us for a day It took 11-year-old me close to a full year to save up for a PS1 but boy I did it. Ironically, Lunar was also the last game I finished on the PS1. I've never had nostalgia hit me this hard. good times
So excited for Ghost of Yotei. This was kind of an off year for me with gaming as theres nothing on the line up for me specifically to play. Yotei next year though! Can't wait to jump back into that world.
I really hope the Soul Reaver remaster sells well. I miss those games and the Legacy of Kain. I hope some older games come back too in that regard. Like an Ape Escape Remaster collection would be really cool. Or a Chocobo Racing Remaster. Porting over the Ratchet and Clank Collection, The Sly Cooper collection, and the Jak and Daxter collection.

Excited for Ghost of Yotei! As someone who has climbed yotei, that was one of the hardest hikes I’ve ever done and I was nearly a ghost by the end. Also curious what the story will be because that area was mostly Ainu land at the time. Gonna be some interesting history if they do it right.

It's a long game so people who don't have a fair amount of time or need to cover a lot of games likely wouldn't finish the game. Hell, even in the old days when Jesse had more time to just play games there were many he never finished (Skyrim anyone?)

Excited for Tower of Aghasba. Looks like a breathe of fresh air. Like the design, architecture, animals, etc. It feels like the building mechanics will also be a neat addition/core mechanic to the game and not just a thing added on just because. I can see it being a classic for some people too if things go well.

Considering the Mongol invasion only lasted 7 years after the main game concluded and they were literally taken out by an act of god in the sea, there wasn't much they could've done with Jin except go into his being hunted by the shogunate.
Look I cannot fight what seeing atmospheric storms in games does to me. Stranglethorn vale will always be one of my favorite WoW zones for that reason alone and with what they showed in wilds... I'm never leaving that forest. I don't care where the story wants me to go, I'm progressing to the forest and then camping there forever. That looked SO good!

Legacy of Kain kind of annoyed me what that felt like being a legacy of Kane fan was if you remember, which I’ll show my age here all those years ago when DVDs just came out and they released a version of a film and then a couple months later they released the HD version which they touched up the graphics just a bit and they acted like oh this is a new version you have to get this. All they did was touch up the graphics of a PlayStation game. 25 years later and all they could do was touch up the graphics slightly. This isn’t a Reimagining or rehash to restart the series this is you know actually what this feels like is that they were gonna lose the copyright unless they made a game and this is what they came up with, this is the most piss poor low effort redo that I can recall well actually, the GTA redo’s were pretty bad ….yeah OK those were worse. I’ll admit that. This isn’t the revival of a beloved franchise this is the final death moan in a series not even going into the disrespect of totally just skipping the original game and throwing it on PlayStation plus because that would’ve taken too much effort all together. Is it so hard to get a good vampire game I mean really is that asking too much.
Regardless of how much they want to update and remaster old PS1 games, i still take it as a win if it runs well with minimal issues. Hopefully this is Sony testing the waters for a new Soul Reaver/Legacy of Kain game, so I hope it does well I'd like new Legacy of Kain game in the Unreal Engine with a modern day budget.
It was better than their regular State of Plays, but hardly "Awesome". There are things I liked, but I'm getting sick of Capcom and their Monster Hunter sequels. There are nearly a dozen other franchises they could be working on, but they choose to assign MH to multiple teams.
For me the State of Play was very disappointing, the only thing I cared about was Ghost of Yotei, super excited about that game but everything else was severely disappointing to me.
I don't understand this logic, you guys want a new God of War, new Spiderman, new blockbuster stuff on a yearly basis and completely ignore promising and experimenting new IPs and ideas, yeah, there were a lot of remakes and remasters, but do you think games just appear and do not take 3-6 years to develop? I never understand this logic, you will always be dissapointed if your expectations are very very far from realistic and also blinded, try to give new stuff, small indie stuff and new looks at already announced stuff a chance, ffs.
