    The enable adaptive brightness doesnt even show up for me, after the most recent windows update my laptop stopped letting me change its brightness, I tried to update all my drivers, updated my nvidia drivers, even went into bios and tried the integrated graphics, but nothing seems to work, the screen just does not even show that its capable of dimming anymore, battery saver and everything don't even dim it.
    I tried running diagnostics and fixes thru CMD as well, those dont seem to work either, uninstalling and reinstalling the display driver also did nothing, what do?

    Thanks much!
    There is some hotkey to change "Use HDR" mode on a single monitor - which caused one of my monitors to dim while the other remained functional. The Night Light option that was in the video led me to find that issue - thanks for the information!

  • @SolidMetal8718
    @SolidMetal8718 Год назад +1

    What if I tell you that "Enable adaptive brightness" option is simply not there, not existing and this dimming still happing ? And it's not even Tobii Experience, already dealt with that, and clearing off that power optimizing option in the brightness options, and everything power saving related that mentions lowering brightness, already cleared off, and it still happens. Let costumer support "help" me by letting them remotely control my computer to try something and I saw this guy uninstall and install back all my graphics drivers to do a complete 360 of everything I had myself done already and get nothing done and the issue not fixed at all, guy gave up and told me "Can I mark this issue as resolved ?". This is a Alienware M17 R3, factory resetted and everything updated and fixed in already, no malware or anything in. Gone as far as to see if there's corrupted data or something through cmd and etc.
    This video, none of these options worked at all. Loving this spaghetti coding, nothing I do actually does what it's configured to do, it's stuck to the overwritten nameless responsible processes that simply can't be identified. I'm very irritated, my eyes get fucked a bit more each time the screen gets darker than it needs to when dark colors are already on the screen, who tf thought that was a great idea and not let it even be an option or be selectable at all ? They deserve a lifetime of hardcore bdsm bondage cbt on a daily 24/7 basis.
    I see that these methods worked for many other, I'm a bit jealous, but thank you for having options for these viewers you have obtained.

      First off all - can you give me more details? Are you using your PC plugged in or just casual couch without the energy supply? I've seen people having problems with the Screen Dimming Issue when having laptop plugged in. I already presume you played with the keyboard combos when it comes to brightness, it might be possible that it can be a hardware issue? Screen getting weird because it has actual hardware problems?

    1. Open Chrome Settiings.

    3. Turn this option off

    Whenever I'm on my laptop and enter fullscreen mode on Microsoft Edge or certain games, the brightness on the screen dims. This doesn't happen when I enter full screen on Google Chrome or older games. I've watched dozens of different guides now and none have been helpful.

    Some manufacturers have independent options that mimics Windows' Focus Assist. For instance, HP has a Focus Mode that can only be disabled through their HP Command Center. I forgot how I enabled it, but your power option reminded me about it, as the info button next to the option talks about how it helps reduce power consumption. Great video! Thank you.

    Go to Settings, System, then click on the brightness option, it should have a small arrow indicating there are more options. This should expand it to 1 option saying "Change brightness based on content". Mine was set to "On Battery Only" but turn it off. AND IT SOLVES IT.
