- In January we went to India for our honeymoon/adventure trip - here is the first part of this journey in Mumbai and Goa. It was a lot of fun and not as intense and exhausting as we expected/always heard it was.
Our favourite part was the South of Goa, especially the Palolem/Patnem beach area - go there if you're traveling to India and want a laid back beach experience! And take the night trains, but book the first class cabins - such a nice way to travel, we were lucky to even arrive ahead of schedule!

Bc we use toilet differently and we use water instead of paper. And in trains there are two types of toilets available one is squat and another one is western.

Glad to know though that you are back safe and sound in the Netherlands… very brave and gutsy of you to travel to India. A few years ago a Danish woman was horrible gang raped in India and with other similar incidents the Danish government sent out a travel advisory that women do not travel alone in India.

I feel like if they had an indian friend to guide thru with places to visit hotel bookings and a bit of guidance it would have been a much more nicer trip,the train and the hotel didn't tend to be satisfactory enough to them and neither me as in indian myself 🫡i feel like they could have gotten much better places and experience.. wish i could've helped em save and utilize money w better experience..however it was their first time and they still got thru it all well Enough ❤ sending loads of love both luk sooo cute 2gthr🩷

Such an amazing documentary I am well travelled but as a woman I have never felt India safe enough to go alone. I have heard of many women being exposed to or harassed. Your video seemed you did not have any bother at all. What would your advice be in relation to this?
India is a huge country and the most popular part for tourists (Delhi-Taj Mahal-Jaipur) is what we think gives it its often bad reputation. We were told Delhi is not safe and we didn’t really enjoy it there, however Mumbai was more relaxed and safe, and in South Goa especially we felt very safe. We have several female friends who have travelled through the country by themselves and their advice was - be streetsmart and don’t go out drinking or alone at night. So we followed that as well and didn’t have any situations in which we felt unsafe, thankfully! Hope you get to enjoy it someday 😊
