Hi friends - little update, it's been a while! We've been back in Berlin sind mid-August, finally got LEGALLY married and are still looking for a long-term place here - the housing crisis is a nightmare! More updates on mental health and family planning soon :) Hope you're all well
I have followed you both since that Tinder story you shared on how you two met. Long distance and everything else. Looking at you now, legally married, brings such good emotions. Congratulations!
When you'll be working on your next bestselling novel on the terrace of your Mediterranean villa, smiling as you watch Alexis chase Miso 3 around the garden with your kids, you'll look back with nostalgia on those days of struggle.
Congrats on the legal wedding! As an ex berliner, I empathize, after leaving a hellish WG situation I ended up coming home to switzerland after 5 years in Berlin because I just couldn't face yet another apartment hunt, especially in the middle of a pandemic... The prices now are absolutely insane, and it's a 1/100 chance of getting chosen anyway :(
Alexis and Lillian, Happy to see you back on your channel. Congratulations on making it official. Be well and stay strong. That living place will find you.
congrats on the new jobs, getting legally married and good luck on that hellish apartment hunting. Some of those places looked pretty nice, but they were probably exorbitantly expensive
I’m from Sweden and highly recommend our three big cities -Gothenburg (cozy, warm, kind of hipster vibes) -Stockholm (capital, more business vibes, but still inclusive - especially Södermalm) -Malmö (modern/alternative/hipster vibes, smaller but close to copenhagen as well and nice weather). Would say that most people here are open minded and willing to have english speaking friendships!🌟 Good luck!
Congratulations 🎉 on the legal marriage ceremony 🥂💃🏾 I know you guys must be super stressed! But it’s so exciting to hear about your future plans and see your retreats!!
Such a treat to spot this vlog in the early hours of a wakeful night! Hope you find what you're looking for very soon, meanwhile enjoy the hunt as best you can. I've no idea how long I've been following you now! My first subscription and I'm still so invested ! Good hunting lovely people 🥰🥰 Congratulations once again on your second marriage 😉🎉💕
In Vienna has THE best value/price ratio out of any other cities in Europe, you can get a 80m2 apartment in an area very close to the center (walking distance) for like 900EUR. There is a reason why it has been named best city to live in since many many years.
I moved from Toronto to Berlin in 2019 and left in May this year, lived in sublets most of the time, an average of 2 or 3 months in each. Last year I spent 3 months methodically looking for flats, applied to 125, was shown only 6, and got none. I ended up trying the WG (flat share) thing for a year but it wasn't for me, so now I live happily on my own... in London. I exchanged some DMs with Lilian about moving from Toronto to Berlin before I made the jump, and she basically said "Berlin is lovely but it's hard to make a life there" and I didn't think it would be this hard, but indeed it was.
You definitely need to check Poland Kraków. Most people speak english. Most apartments are brand new at high standard and fully furnished. It is small city 800k but still nice
I can so much relate to you struggle with the apparent hunt. I managed to find an apartment in Berlin by installing Immo app and I would update my search literally every 10 sec (I spent a month with a phone on my hand). Better to not rely on the app notifications, they are usually sent only some time after the publishing and the chance to get an answer in this case is really low. I also would send very nice message in German about me and my partner, with the links to our LinkedIn and FB. At the end we found a stunning flat in Pankow for reasonable price. I am sure you will manage it too!everyone who is looking for an apartment in Berlin finds at some point. Good luck to you and much patience!
Congrats on getting married! And sorry hearing about the struggles with Berlin housing. Had the same trouble, searching for 1 year without success as a born Berliner. It annoyed me so much, I packed my bags and started roaming through SEA for undefined amount of time now :P also considering Vienna. Dont give up though! Best possibility is always through private contacts and random coincidences - so keep talking to as many random people as possible and surely the luck will be with you🤞
I went to a gay wedding in Copenhagen back in the 1990s and was amazed at how nice the officials were, and not at all awkward even then. And they did the whole thing in English because one of the guys didn't speak Danish yet. That was in the ca. 1900 folktale room in the old town hall. I guess you went to a different place. The flat search in Berlin has indeed become a horrible nightmare and I wish you the very best of luck.
Take all the time you need. Glad things are okay! Hoping things work out in Berlin but am curious where else you’d consider living? Best of luck to your family xx
I recommand Vienna or even Kraków 😀 it depends on your work but Krakowi is very good for It professionals for example. Apartment prices starts at 500 euro for studio and something bigger about 700 euro can be found easily
Personally i prefer Vienna in comparison to Berlin it is more clean and everything is maintained in better condition than in Berlin. I’ve been also in Frankfurt am Main and it felt also much better than Berlin. Didn’t like Paris and Milan. Milano as city not very interesting however it is in Italy so you have easy access to whatever you want alps Meditearanian sea, appenins, venice, toscany, dolomites, etc.
Nice video, congratulations for your wedding !! I was wondering, if you can put that amount of money in rent why don't you try to buy an appartment? I could never afford the rent any of the appartments you showed on video but i am going to buy an appartment (i live in a smaller city in France)
OMG!! Why is Berlin so dirty!? I live in Bucharest and it's very clean here. I lived in and also visited other big cities in the world and noticed they're dirty, such as New York, San Francisco, Paris, London, but I always imagined that Germany must be a very clean country. It seems not... Also, I wish you congratulations on your wedding!!🎉❤ I know this is an invasive question, but didn't you have guests at the wedding or a celebration afterwards?
What does mean I keep on looking girls does mean i am bisexual or lesbian but i sill love boys and what be with boys i got attracted for girls too like boys? What should i do
'Palestine' = an homophob, antifemale, anti democratic, antisemit/antizionist racist arab, Islam Sharia Nazi project. lets not forget that 'Palestinians' did a genocid not just on Jews but ppl from all over the world and queers. You support exactly what HItler/NSDAP already supported! (lets not forget that National socialist were also just a variation of socialist movements an all of them were anti democratic, ,anti liberal/anti western, antisemit/antizionist, created with Islam most dictatorships/terror on the planet and are directly responsible why many countries are still less developed/poor! the world does not need another Sharia/Nazi state like 'Palestine' (thats what it is, nothing else). You are not just an antisemit/antizionist but support what would kill the channel content creator!
Ohhh I am from Berlin as well🥲 In my opinion Moabit is still not that gentrified and has lot‘s of people with a migration background living there… it is a really nice area and feels more real sometimes compared to the super gentrified areas of Berlin Good luck!! 🧡

Guys you should totally move to Brussels. Very international, loads of jobs, and there’s far more housing available.
Congratulations you made it 🎉
Seriously, if I ever get married… you just convinced me to do it in Copenhagen 😅
you should move to Muncih or Vienna!!! (Vienna being a bit more affordable I guess... but Munich being more queer friendly and actually quite amazing)
Parabéns, e muitas felicidades ❤❤
Congratulations you both 💖 Another reason to love Denmark. Maybe you would consider to move to Copenhagen?
Apartment hunting in Berlin - diesen Horrorfilm habt ihr echt entspannt moderiert.
My wife and I live in Vienna, if you have any questions please let me know
Come to Antwerp!! ❤
Maybe look at a city near Amsterdam?

Hi, maybe instead of Amsterdam you can check out appartments in Rotterdam!
I‘m renting a 18m room for 600 in Bonn. I find it super expensive.
Congratulations on getting legally married! Best wishes on your fertility journey.
von wo ist der silberne shoulder bag
The view is always nice. But going up and down with groceries is a real downer. You will find your place.
Congratulations!
So you wont travel again?
Lovely couple...
Why not Madrid, or Italy, Milan
Have to learn new language.
@@Exol-d3t ideally, but not necessarily.
What about outside of Europe, like Argentina?
There is inflation in argentina and less jobs compared to germany. Uruguay is good though.
Bonjours les filles super en toute amitié bs❤🎉
