Not gonna lie, this type of format for Shorts is a great idea! Would love to see more of these (if you guys have the time) with quick first impressions of new products.
@@MrGamelover23 vertical videos are a good thing, yeah like tiktok. but what im saying is youtube shorts should be used in a useful manner like this one, short and concise. Let the memes, funny, and cringe videos remain on tiktok.
You could reserve one on the steamdeck website (or the steam store) if you want. There is a wait time, but it will tell you your estimated ship date before you reserve it.
But it’s not a perfect line. I laughed at that because of how wrong it is. The battery life on it is terrible, and that’s weird to hear considering this is new tech and the Switch is 6 years old. How does new tech lose to old tech? The OS is unstable and you have to tinker with it so much just to get a game to run, if it runs at all. All that for twice the price. Wow.
@@alexmendez3681ou must not own one 1-2 hours of AAA gaming isn’t terrible. if you play games comparable to switch titles you get better battery. some games give me 6 hours it’s not twice the price it’s not even $100 more and the os isn’t perfectly stable but it’s great for what it is.
Currently hanging in there lol. Getting one for college, seems perfect for that use case. The portability, performance, form-factor, support, and possibilities. Although I would need the dock to do any actual computing by having an external display and hooking up a mouse and keyboard.
I have a steam deck and can get any steam game running. I can stream my Xbox to it. I can use my epic games account on it. Yet to emulate older games (but it’s def possible) I customised my startup/boot video to look like a PS5. Steam deck is amazing. I have played it on the train for a few weeks. It’s great. I have hooked up multiple controller and with a USB C adapter plugged it into a 65” TV to play some couch coop games. TLDR, if you think you would use one, then get one. Simple.
Genshin can't run on Linux because of its weird implementation of an AntiCheat. If you installed Windows on it, the performance would be half than on SteamOS Linux so there is no way to actually test it.
Doesn't work, but hopefully as the device becomes more popular and has a larger user base, games like it will fix their anti cheat! But don't buy it on the promise it might come later
I can't believe it's been two years The device is still going strong, people had doubts at the beggining and didn't knew if this format would catch on but the reality is the present, it was a hit and probably the biggest revolution on pc gaming of the last few years. If only Valve released it worldwide...
You should play the Batman Arkham Games and Star Wars The Force Unleashed 1 and 2. No one is playing or testing these games in their reviews. It would make your test footage more unique and it will stand out from the other reviews that just play the same games over and over again.

One thing I've noticed on all the reviews so far but that no one seems to talk about is the latency on the touchscreen. It really shows on sliding bars in particular.
