Dentists in Australia are expensive, even in Cabramatta, very hard to clean my teeth for less than AUD110. 1 million VND is enough for your family to clean & polish teeth. When you see NHA, likely to be Dentists, except Nha Trang & Phong Nha.
When the price of coke is similar to beer, Australian adults almost have no reason to buy soft drinks in Vietnam. Both have bubbles & sugar (alcohol comes from sugars).
Near Australia, Vietnam maybe the most affordable place for family adventure if personal safety counts. Another country shares the border with Thailand & China is still having civil war right now.
Hot days are still better than typhoon & storms days. U saw the fireworks. River levels are very unstable. If a few months later, Routes 1&2 cannot be done in Trang An, which means Wine Cave & many caves are inaccessible then the trip is half satisfied.
City/town hopping by overnight coaches is the best way to save time & hotel. Many KOLs suggested sleeper buses are better than train & of course more frequent. They are also cheaper, easier to book & more reliable, some include hotel transfers in small cities.
We looked at the buses, but the train sounded a bit better, I can't remember why exactly. Maybe being able to share with Aria. Oh & we also did a sleeper bus in Thailand back 10 or so years ago and didn't enjoy the experience, maybe that's why we wanted to try the train, not sure.
AUD7000 sounds expensive even AUD5000 without Ha Long Bay Cruise. AUD3500 can still be very enjoyable for 3 weeks family transfer trip before Europe because such flights are inevitable.
You're welcome, glad to help! I can't remember which one but there are a couple you could join and ask on. I prefer not to use the ones that have a super huge amount of people in them as I find there to be more chance of scammers.
I'm heading to Vietnam in November for 21 days. This video has been a great resource for me. Thank you! I love your style of presentation, by the way. This is the first time I've seen one of your videos and I've already subscribed! Awesome stuff. I am still very confused by eSIM cards though, having never used one. Normally when I visit to a new country, I just buy a local SIM card for the 14 or 21 days. That works perfectly until I try to log into an app or my email and it wants to SMS me a security code (which I can't get because I'm not using my Aussie SIM card and I have data roaming turned off anyway). I would love you to do a video explaining more about how eSIMs work, are they a cheaper option, what are the benefits or downside, etc. Cheers!
Yup, it would! So basically you just keep your normal Sim in the phone, purchase an Esim, and load it into the phone. It is an extra, and doesn't change the operation of your normal Sim, which will be able to receive 2 factor Authentication texts from your home country as per normal, for free. You can also usually receive phone calls overseas for free on your normal Sim. The Esim is selected for internet use, and all of your data goes through it cheaply. It's the best of both worlds.

Brilliant 👏
I'll have to watch it again to digest all of the information.
Thank you! It was a lot of info but all very important (well we think so anyway 🤣). Glad you found it helpful!

Ohhh thank you for sharing, we’ve been talking about doing Vietnam. Seems like a beautiful country with a lot to see
You're welcome, glad you found it helpful!
There is so much, we did heaps but still missed lots too! Have you seen our weekly vlogs with more details?

Not easy to spend AUD50/person a day in Trang An, unless choosing the expensive hotels.
Thanks for all the great information! What Vietnam Facebook group did you use? I will be traveling to Vietnam in 2 weeks. So excited!🎉

No worries Rod, thank you! So glad you enjoyed and found the video useful, thank you for subscribing! Quick question, does your phone take an Esim?
It's a Samsung Galaxy Ultra 23 so I assume it would, but I've never tried.

@@OverlandExposureThanks so much! I'll make an effort this time to invest in an eSIM and give it a go. Cheers!
You're welcome 😁 glad to help!
Do you have the link to the esim you mentioned?
Yes absolutely! mobimatter.com/ Code: DANIE24483
Thanks for watching! :)
@OverlandExposure thanks a bunch :)
Welcome & any time 😁
1 of your biggest mistakes is no N95 to stop the PM2.5, PM10 & etc.
Well at least I’m not late 🤷♂️🤣🤣🤣🤣
🤣🤣🤣 haha no the vid was though! Maybe a new time slot works for you.
Credit card should in the pocket rather than check-in baggage.
Always, this was a pure accident that it was in there, I was actually shocked when I opened my suitcase to see it there, it never is.
