Finally! :) My wife and I were on the cruise with you, we were the Americans who had sold all their stuff and were doing an around-the-world tour. We have been waiting for this! Watching the video and reliving the memories was so much fun! You did a great job. We hope the rest of your year turned out well!
Hahaha yeah sorry about the delay 🤣🤣🤦♀️🤦♀️ it took a little longer than expected to get these ones out 🤦♀️ & we remember you! How are you both? Are you back in the US? I'm so glad you enjoyed the vid and relived the memories, it was a great cruise, thank you 😁 Our year was full of wonderful adventures and they are still going! I'd love to connect with you guys again and hear about more of your adventures. Feel free to email us of message us on socials if you'd like to!
I think you are Australian, right? Tasmanian Seafood Seduction Cruise is AUD700/person for 7.5hours. Bruny Island Cruise is AUD175/person for 3 hours. Both are neither World Heritage nor New 7 Wonders of Nature. This Ha Long Bay Cruise had so many things instead for a family of 3, super value ever.
Hey, yep Australian. In relation to price, in comparison to the Aus ones you've mentioned I wouldn't do any of them nor pay that amount for them, I don't see the value.🤣 When we were talking the price of this one, there are many the exact same number of people, nights, attractions, boat facilities, etc in Ha Long Bay that were cheaper, so we weren't sure people needed to pay the extra that we did compared to the other options there. The number of passengers on the boat wasn't due to them restricting numbers for the experience, it was simply that they weren't booked. & They knew about us not eating seafood before booking and didn't offer any price adjustment. I hope that clears some of it up for you 😄
In Vietnam, plastic bags are not completely banned nationally & tap water is not always available. Bottled water is essential & clearer, SE Asians & Chinese do not always drink tap water even boiled.
Banning plastic bags would be a good move for Vietnam, they were used everywhere for some of the simplest things. We said no to plastic bags so many times when we didn't need them.
This Cruise is still dirt cheap. 20 years later probably it may add a 0 on the price tag. In 2002, a Dolphin Cruise from Port Adelaide is only AUD4/adult but same year a Sea Dolphin Cruise in Sydney was more than tenfolds.
Honestly, seafood provided in this Cruise is definitely the highlights. For the vegetarians, if the price does not adjust accordingly then maybe not worth it that much.
Phong Nha is another the World Heritage listed area, also suffer the same rubbish problem. However, World Heritage listed Trang An has much less rubbish, I am sure lots of labour clean that up manually & regularly.
Unfortunately, Australia & Vietnam are lack of Waste to Energy Facilities, but Japan, Korea & some well developed European countries like Denmark, Germany, France & etc have a lot.
On the 'Cruise' between Phong Nha Info Centre & Phong Nha Cave, along the river bank I saw all trees had torn plastic bags hanging in the branches, probably due to flooding, simiar situation in Guangxi which also has lots of rivers & caves. The rubbish you saw in Ha Long Bay is still relatively small anount in their standard.
Love your video. Thank you for speaking out against the trash that been ruin the area. As an Vietnanese myself living in the US. It is just asham to see the local government not taken any action or take it into concern about cleaning it up. Hopefully as more tourists will bring up this issue to the local official and let them take action about. Pollution is still a big major issue for Vietnam. In the meantime have a wonderful day. Keep up your good video.❤ Cheer
Thank you so much Cary, I appreciate you feedback and time to comment, and support with raising the issue. I was really hoping I didn't offend any local Vietnamese people but want to see a change. Lots more Vietnam videos to enjoy too if interested 😁
The new room seems soo much better than the first room. I am going there soon - March 2024. I can't wait. Stellar of the seas is the cruise i have chosen (2N3D). Hoping the garbage will be better. Thanks for the upload!
Yes, the 2nd room really was better! I hope you have a wonderful cruise, I would love for you to come back and let me know on here what the rubbish was like for your visit. Thanks for watching 😁
Other than seafood, Vietnam has lots of signature dishes such as but not limited to: crocodile, snakes, snails, monkey, turtle, dog, cat & etc but I am not sure would they provide none of above during the Cruise?
Le Mat Village near Hanoi Airport has many snake restaurants, lot of choices. The best experiences for most people to open up their cooking ideas, no where else is better I think. However, Ho Chi Minh City is hard to find 1 but I found 2.
@@OverlandExposure Snails & frogs are quite common in many buffets, some have crocodile on a rotating rod above charcoal in front of the door. I am surprised this Cruise had none.
Definitely more cruises means more air pollution & sea pollution. Unlikely the diesel engines on ships have stricter limits than vehicles & high W air conditioners are widely used on the luxury cruises. Also, it is basically impossible to have a sewage treatment plant on a small ship like this.
I was late too but we watched the ending then went back to the beginning afterwards and watched it all again. Thanks for your honesty. I'm definitely still going to go here as I agree it's a bucket list location. Safe travels 💕
Thank you 😍 it was hard being honest but I also felt it was really important. I'm so glad you still plan to visit, I really hope tourism allows more to be done!

Please love seafood more, especially the water filtering species such as clams, scallops, mussels, oysters & etc because they clean the sea & lock carbon dioxide in the form of calcium carbonate. Also no need to feed them grass.

At least Tasman Island Cruise starts from Port Arthur which is a World Heritage listed Convict Site.
2 other RUclipsrs spent USD950 for 2 (half) Days 1 Night Cruise. 2×0.5=1

We definitely noticed less rubbish in Trang An!
Plastic pollution is a huge problem in South East Asia!
Agree!
The CP ratio of this Cruise is 50 times more than that of 1 hour Yarra River Cruise.
Unfortunately, Australia & Vietnam are lack of Waste to Energy Facilities, but Japan, Korea & some well developed European countries like Denmark, Germany, France & etc have a lot.
Totally agree, we need to do more in Aus about this!

Oh I didn't show the full extent of the rubbish in Ha Long Bay, there was a pile bigger than I can describe at the back of the beach we went to. 😭

Ha Long Bay is still ok. Manila Bay looks like open landfills, in SE Asia I could not find worst, always discoverd worse.
@@OverlandExposure
Please show it. This issue is so important & urgent. The world have to focus on it.
I think lots of Ha Long Cruises go to Cat Ba & Lan Ha Bay.
Sun World Halong Park, same company of that Sun World Ba Na Hill, provides breathtaking views of Ha Long Bay at a budget price + lots of fun.
Did you request goose, duck & wild boar instead of pork & chicken to replace seafood?
We didn't request any particular substitute, we just said no seafood.
@@OverlandExposure
How about river food or lake food?
Thank you for providing realistic view and not like most bloggers rainbow and shine. KEEP IT REAL.
Thank you, really appreciate the support! Always keeping it real 👍

@@OverlandExposure I will def come back with an update. It didn't look too crowded on your ship. I hope I am just as lucky.
Thanks! & No there was only 3 couples plus us on ours, it was great! 🤞 For you!
The views are so extraordinary & irreplaceable.
It is a beautiful place!
Foie Gras is worth than most seafood & I hope they would have for your seafood replacement.

First 3 I had in Vietnam just blew my mind, especially the snake meal from skin to deep fried bones.
None of those offered on the cruise.
I'm not sure I'm keen on snake 🤔

What to do with the rubbish that you pick? Landfills?
I guess try to recycle? ♻️
Globally, plastics Recycling is a joke. The product is dirt cheap & energy consumption to collect, chop, clean, melt, sell & melt again.

We shall become bones eventually, but the plastics still last & last, in the form of big plastics, small plastics & invisible mirco plastics.
Unfortunately!
Believe it or not, when the world is heading to the 0 emission target by having more electric cars & renewable energy, the plastics will become cheap?
Possibly 🤔

Nope, just cannot do it. Have tried many times, just cannot stand the taste of anything from the water.

Australian Salt Water Crocodiles do not taste like seafood, just like the Vietnamese BBQ Crocodiles.
When I see this luxury bathroom, I cannot wait to flush the toilet to fertilise it & add some bubbles fun.
What was the date of visit?
This was May 2023.
I’m late 🤦♂️🍻
🤦♀️ haha wait 15 mins ish and you can watch from the start again! Set a timer 🤣😛
